Don’t wear a mask. Wait, wear a mask. Better, wear two masks. Wash your hands a lot. Disinfect everything nonstop. Wait, never mind. Six-foot social distancing is science. Hang on, maybe not. More than a year into the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s remarkable how little we know about the coronavirus. And the message keeps changing, which makes you wonder whether anyone really knows anything at all. Remember when a doctor — early in the pandemic — put out a viral video telling Americans they just needed to wash their hands a lot to keep from catching or spreading COVID? Comments:

They DIDN'T get it wrong. It was coordinated dis-information to gain compliance - particularly with the states' voting laws. It just happened to have worked so well, it's being continued.

I agree with OP, in that it was deliberate. I would add that had the medical community not spent so much time chasing motorcycle accidents and suicides as Covid deaths, and put their extensive energies and resources into isolating the actual Covid-19 virus, we might be further (farther?) along. Too much time wasted on politics and social engineering; not enough on “real science.”

From the earliest days I wondered why people were buying sanitizing surface wipes by the carload. Then I found that some were wiping down everything around them - in their own homes, their own cars (all used only by them and their locked down families). I had been one to use a special cutting board for poultry, sanitizing the sink after rinsing poultry, keeping bathrooms sanitized. But every surface in the house? Nope.. Now they’re not even sure whether this virus hangs around on surfaces (some have been said to do so in the past)… It’s like being nibbled to death by ducks...

The problem is that the horseback opinions of a few scientists get accepted as "the science." The result is chaos. Science emerges gradually and in a few years, we may have generally accepted conclusions. A few more years will see exceptions to these generalities emerge and be accepted. This is the history of all science. It happens slowly in physics, but rapidly in medicine and climatology (for instance.) People who like to pretend that their quickly formed opinions are science don't like to admit that.

Maybe because they aren't really "scientists". The scientific method requires a certain amount of intellectual rigor and an objective search for the truth. None of that demonstrated by these bureaucrats who call themselves "scientists ". Abraham Lincoln supposedly asked, "If you call a horses tail a leg, how many legs would it have?" The answer is, "Four, calling a tail a leg doesn't make it one." Calling a bureaucrat a scientist doesn't make him one either.

It was a conspiracy between the CCP and the Democrats to take Trump out. Trump fell for it, and shut down the whole country, not realizing anybody could be as evil as Fauci, who is on Hillary's email distribution listings.

We're always told to get a second opinion when health issues are involved. In this case, we got one opinion (Fauci) broadcast on MSM, and that lead to getting hundreds of opinions from doctors many of which differed from the MSM narrative several times a day on a number of tv shows. The problem got worse because the MSM doctor (Fauci) kept changing the goals. Nobody knew what the hell was going on, and the so called expert (Fauci) didn't want to admit he didn't know. It was a shotgun approach. Do all of these things, and maybe one or two of these will work.

In general, doctors are smart people but they are also strong herd animals. Medical 'consensus' is passed through the ranks and seldom questioned. The threat of cancellation in the medical community has been around much longer than in the general population. Remember, twenty years ago doctors told us to stop eating butter, dairy and meat and eat carbs, vegetable oil and hydrogenated margarine. It was the medical consensus. Where did that get us?

The AMA and various other medical watch dog groups are no less corrupt than say the fbi or doj. If a doctor commits an act of malfeasance or even malpractice they are quietly reprimanded and moved to another position.

Two other things the official American 'experts' completely flubbed: the lack of a meaningful initial response to a new pandemic, and their united, and considerable, resistance to therapeutics, hydroxychloroquine in particular. During the month of Feb-2020, for example, the CDC tested an average of 12 people per day...as in, 330 people during the entire month...indicating that they actually had no credible plan to deal with a real pandemic...none whatsoever. Regarding hydroxychloroquine, they refused to even acknowledge it in the face of an overwhelming body of very convincing clinical trials by dozens of frontline physicians across the USA, and around the world, as well as the entire nation of India. It was almost like they were being paid to be incompetent.

It’s a sad commentary on the gun violence plaguing the Big Apple. One of the diners who was shot outside the famed Peter Luger Steakhouse in Brooklyn was recovering Friday at home — where he told a neighbor, “You go out to dinner and that’s what happens.” The 57-year-old victim, who was hit in the gut, described the terrifying incident after being treated for his injuries at NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in Manhattan. “He told me there was a family dispute and they started shooting,” the neighbor said. “He said he didn’t have a chance to run.”

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology has delivered the final blow to the COVID lockdown regime. The new study on the so-called six-feet apart rule was blown up. The indoor occupancy caps were also trashed. What about those insanely expensive air filtration units that teachers want to be installed before they venture out of their caves and start working again? Not necessary. Open windows, fans blowing, and a good circulation of fresh air is good enough. It doesn’t matter if you’re 60 feet away or 6 feet away from someone inside, you’re still at risk of contracting the virus, even with a mask on.

Most places in America where life is dirty, polluted, dangerous, violent, and plagued with racial hate and race riots, are cities that are almost exclusively populated by and governed by Democrats. Outside of these Democrat-run cities, America is peaceful, safe, clean, and racially tolerant. Dr. Anthony Fauci is unsure why Texas and Florida continues to defy the settled “science” on COVID-19. Since the states did away with the mask mandates and authorized all businesses to re-open, there has not been a disproportionate surge in COVID cases, hospitalizations, or deaths. Dr. Fauci was asked why Texas hasn’t seen the often predicted surge on MSNBC this week. “I’m not really quite sure,” he said. “It could be they’re doing things outdoors.” Fauci added in his MSNBC interview that it may take weeks to see any effects from re-opening the state on the number of COVID cases.

U.S. resistance to getting a COVID-19 vaccine is slowly diminishing, a new online survey finds, but it still exists and at especially high rates in some blue-collar jobs -- and nearly half of respondents are worried about side effects. For adults under age 65 who are hesitant, reluctance is mainly driven by concerns about safety, side effects and distrust in government, the poll found. It's also largely linked to people's line of work. The bottom line: "Vaccine hesitancy is emerging as a key barrier to ending the COVID-19 pandemic," said lead author Wendy King, associate professor of epidemiology in the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health.
