Peter Luger shooting victim: ‘You go out

It’s a sad commentary on the gun violence plaguing the Big Apple. One of the diners who was shot outside the famed Peter Luger Steakhouse in Brooklyn was recovering Friday at home — where he told a neighbor, “You go out to dinner and that’s what happens.” The 57-year-old victim, who was hit in the gut, described the terrifying incident after being treated for his injuries at NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in Manhattan. “He told me there was a family dispute and they started shooting,” the neighbor said. “He said he didn’t have a chance to run.”

New York has the strictest gun laws there are and it not only doesn't slow down the shooting, they are increasing there. Laws mean nothing to outlaws, they only hurt the honest gun owner. To be honest from all we are seeing that is what the Congress and these Liberal politicians want. To disarm the honest gun owner, because they haven't passed a law yet that slows down the criminals.

As an original Ldotter poster, I am finding the Gabber comments showing up on a regular basis to be a sign that the admins do not give a fig for how such comments make this site appear. Gabbers need to keep to their little postage stamp corner of Gab, you know: the ones where all the Anti-Semites seem to think they are conservative. Begone foul beasts!

No. Actually you go out to dinner and you have dinner. The STUPID notion that you are taking your very life in your hands by engaging in common civil interaction is just stupid. Planes crash. If you happen to be on one then tough luck. If you don't fly you won't die in a plane crash. Something else will finish you off.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology has delivered the final blow to the COVID lockdown regime. The new study on the so-called six-feet apart rule was blown up. The indoor occupancy caps were also trashed. What about those insanely expensive air filtration units that teachers want to be installed before they venture out of their caves and start working again? Not necessary. Open windows, fans blowing, and a good circulation of fresh air is good enough. It doesn’t matter if you’re 60 feet away or 6 feet away from someone inside, you’re still at risk of contracting the virus, even with a mask on.

U.S. Border Patrol agents caught nearly 150 illegal immigrants who were hiding inside a tractor-trailer — and none of them were wearing masks. Agents in Laredo, Texas apprehended 149 illegal immigrants in the back of a tractor-trailer during a checkpoint stop on Interstate Highway 35, Customs and Border Protection announced on Monday. None of the people in the sealed area of the vehicle had on masks. There was an “increase in COVID-19 infections among details,” CBP noted, warning about “the transporting of large groups of people without PPE in close dangerous quarters.”

Dozens of people protesting outside Gov. Don’t wear a mask. Wait, wear a mask. Better, wear two masks. Wash your hands a lot. Disinfect everything nonstop. Wait, never mind. Six-foot social distancing is science. Hang on, maybe not. More than a year into the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s remarkable how little we know about the coronavirus. And the message keeps changing, which makes you wonder whether anyone really knows anything at all. Remember when a doctor — early in the pandemic — put out a viral video telling Americans they just needed to wash their hands a lot to keep from catching or spreading COVID? Most places in America where life is dirty, polluted, dangerous, violent, and plagued with racial hate and race riots, are cities that are almost exclusively populated by and governed by Democrats. Outside of these Democrat-run cities, America is peaceful, safe, clean, and racially tolerant. What’s more, if you remove these Democrat-run cities from our national statistics, you will find an America that is overwhelmingly peaceful,

Dr. Anthony Fauci is unsure why Texas and Florida continues to defy the settled “science” on COVID-19. Since the states did away with the mask mandates and authorized all businesses to re-open, there has not been a disproportionate surge in COVID cases, hospitalizations, or deaths. Dr. Fauci was asked why Texas hasn’t seen the often predicted surge on MSNBC this week. “I’m not really quite sure,” he said. “It could be they’re doing things outdoors.” Fauci added in his MSNBC interview that it may take weeks to see any effects from re-opening the state on the number of COVID cases.
