The University of Oxford is considering scrapping sheet music for being 'too colonial' after staff raised concerns about the 'complicity in white supremacy' in music curriculums. Professors are set to reform their music courses to move away from the classic repertoire, which includes the likes of Beethoven and Mozart, in the wake of the Black Lives Matter movement. University staff have argued that the current curriculum focuses on 'white European music from the slave period', according to The Telegraph.(Snip) It claimed that teaching musical notation had 'not shaken off its connection to its colonial past' and would be 'a slap in the face' to some students.

Comments:

Africans cannot read musical notation, nor can they comprehend classical music, so into the trash it goes. Aren't the Brits accommodating? Mollify and grovel before people from alien cultures who hate them. Meanwhile, violent nightmares like South Africa and Zimbabwe show what happens when the white devil hands the keys over to their new masters.

Once you understand it’s a COM-MU-NIST organization, it makes it easier to argue that BLM has no legitimate grievances against our cultural heritage, no matter how scurrilous the attacks by their toady media partners.

Yes, oh and while we are at it, let's eliminate white supremacy in the field of medicine. No more pills or vaccines or cleanliness or sterilization. No more anesthesia or complex surgeries or cancer treatments. No more x-rays or CTscans or MRIs. Voo doo dolls, bits of animals used to ward off evil spirits, incense, tintures and potions and the like is all that is allowed. But why stop there. Think of all the corrupting forces of white supremacy. Electricity, paved roads, concrete buildings, plumbing, computers and phones, airplanes, cars, trains.... oh the list goes on and on.

Without musical notation we should go back to poets and troubadours like Homer. Homer was a White blind dead man who started Western Literature in Greece. Nothing comparable to our talented Black rappers. Homer did not have bloody Nike sneakers an dancing Hos but used sandals and a lyre instead. I think the Oxford Professors missed the video of when New York Africans were looting Macy’s at 34 St. while the NYPD was meekly standing by. I did not and will not forgive BLM. They destroyed our Nation and now Oxford goes after our music. We must stop Cultural Marxism.

People laugh at me for buying CDs and loading them onto my computer. I prefer to have the original CDs to listen to just in case Amazon and other digital music vendors decide to edit or eliminate classical and classic tunes from their sites, just like they ban books from conservative authors. I don't want to be a computer crash away from losing all of my downloaded music. If I want to listen to Beethoven's 9th Symphony, nothing else will do.

Just stop it! Trashing anything white does not make people of color superior. It just makes them appear jealous and petty. No one can choose their race. All these attacks have nothing to do with color and everything to do with values. Hard work, self respect, respect for others, the desire to better yourself and enjoy music, art and literature have nothing to do with race. You choose to live the life you live regardless of your color. Some races place values on different things. They have different goals. MLK was right. It is the content of your character, not the color of your skin.

I heard recently in a podcast that the CIA sponsored rap and hip hop artists back in the '80's that would produce anti-cop and anti-American ideologies. I thought nothing would surprise me anymore but this did. I did my own research, and sure enough: "John Homeston, a retired CIA agent, admitted in 2017 on National Russian Television that the CIA was behind the creation of the 1980s hip hop scene and financed major hip hop acts. The retired CIA agent claims the social engineering maneuver was “extremely successful.” “We understood at the time that music was a powerful means of propaganda to reach the youth,” explained the 77-year-old man. “Our mission was to use teenage angst to our advantage and turn Generation X into a decadent, pro-drug and anti-establishment culture that would create uprisings and further division within society. We even infiltrated mainstream radio to promote their music and reach millions of people everyday,” he admitted, visibly proud of the accomplishment." The seeds to every sickening, degenerate, destructive trend in this country have been sown by "our" own corrupt and wicked government to further the destruction of our society. Without the intervention of God Almighty, we don't stand a chance. These people have much to answer for and should be punished in the most severe fashion imaginable. Notice, it was Russian media that ran the story. I have no doubt whatsoever that the US media is a tool of the demonic CIA.

For those of you who want to preserve your music, you can do what my youngest son does. He somehow downloads songs onto his smart phone, bought a device for 20 dollars, links it to the car radio, using an FM frequency otherwise unused, and plays his music. And it also works in the house, on a regular radio. If you already knew about this method, it just shows how old and out of touch I have become, that I would be amazed by the technology.

No need for sheet music when all you read and write is rap crap. Just stretch a cured zebra skin over a wooden frame or dry out some seed pods and you are in business. Funnily enough, Slick WIllie, a famous boy from Arkansas, received his communist indoctrination at Oxford. Well, there's the end of Oxford's music departments. And probably the choirs too. What serious or amateur musician or singer wants to drop all the beloved classical pieces and hymns in favor of what -- hip-hop? jungle drums? Chinese music? -- what does Oxford consider acceptable? Do they believe that non-western students are unable to learn to read standard musical notation? What about the many students from third-world countries who love and sometimes perform western classical music? This is a really stupid and ignorant move.

How stupid and dishonest can they get? Don't answer that. The pits of stupidity and dishonest are bottomless. People go to college to receive an education, not a political indoctrination. U.S. and state health officials said Monday they’re seeing more coronavirus cases in younger persons than they did earlier in the pandemic, as seniors achieve protection from vaccination and youth sports are blamed for outbreaks. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said even as the vaccine reaches more people, the seven-day average of cases has risen for four straight weeks and remains above 60,000 per day. Officials are particularly concerned about the prevalence of the fast-moving B.1.1.7, or “U.K.,” variant in the states. “Cases are increasing nationally and we are seeing this occur predominately in younger adults,” CDC Director Rochelle Walensky said.

During meal service, a flight attendant with a “Jasmine” nametag passed out Dove ice cream bars. She wore a black mask and a black pantsuit and had short black hair. A few minutes later, “Jasmine” reemerged without the wig — revealing herself to be Jill Biden, laughing and proclaiming, “April Fools!” The first lady’s aides told reporters that they were just as surprised to discover the true identity of “Jasmine.”

Until very recently, it would have been hard to imagine anything more iconic of American life than Coca Cola and baseball. Today both remind me of Benito Mussolini’s corporatist – aka, fascist -- game of merging of state and corporate power. The CEOs of these operations should hang their heads in shame and fire their public-relations teams. So should the CEOs of Delta and American Airlines, Black Rock, Cisco, American Express, and American Airlines, who have promoted President Biden’s false assertions that tightening election procedures to bring them back into line -- and in accord with those of civilized Western governments elsewhere -- is racist voter suppression.

The panel on ABC’s This Week got particularly heated over the new Georgia election law, with former New Jersey governor Chris Christie going off on President Joe Biden in particular. Christie told George Stephanopoulos that Biden’s “broken his own rule” about stating the truth, saying the president is “lying to the American people” about what the law says. “He’s lying about this bill, he’s lying to the American people about it, to cause the raging fire he said he was going to put out. I’m very disappointed,” Christie added. Christie even accused Biden of “doing exactly what

MINNEAPOLIS — Ten months after his death, George Floyd's face looks out across a city still raw from his death. The intersection where he died under the knee of a police officer. The neighborhood burned and looted over the following days. The fortified courthouse where that former police officer is on trial for murder charges in Floyd's death. From the razor wire ringing the courthouse to a smattering of activists occupying the intersection where Derek Chauvin and three officers held Floyd to the ground, this city is still reckoning with the consequences of Floyd's death. Although the streets are largely empty
