A 75-year-old woman who was randomly slugged in the face by a man in upper Manhattan is a retired crime reporter—and is now calling on city officials to do something about the Big Apple’s growing mental health crisis. Judith Thomas, a former Channel 9 reporter, was sporting a massive bruise on her face Monday, along with swollen cheeks and lips, a day after she was sucker-punched in broad daylight. “We do not have enough mental health facilities for these people,” Thomas told The Post. “Somebody like this should be at a mental health facility and on medication because nobody does this.

Comments:

The victim really is a newshound, then why doesn't she ask NYC First Lady Chirlaine McCray explain what happened to the billion dollars she was given for her signature ThriveNYC mental health program?

If a White Thug were to assault an elderly Black Woman - for no obvious reason, racism is assumed by default and it’s a hate crime. But the other way around is a “mental health issue” that can be solved with more government programs, more taxes, less freedom, more fascism... yep there is a mental health problem, but it’s not the perp.

At least seven US colleges have said students must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to come back to their campuses this fall with Brown University and Northeastern University the latest to implement such rules. Brown, Northeastern, Cornell University, Rutgers University, Fort Lewis College, Nova Southeastern University and St. Edward's University each announced COVID-19 vaccination requirements for returning students in recent weeks. Students with specific underlying medical conditions and religious beliefs can apply to be exempt from the rule which the institutions say is crucial to be able to welcome people back to in-person learning at full pre-pandemic capacity.

The White House clarified Tuesday that one study projects that President Biden’s $2.25 trillion infrastructure package will create roughly 2.7 million jobs—not the 19 million jobs administration officials had touted over the weekend. Police identified the suspect as Ronald Bailey, 52, a repeat transit offender with more than 30 prior arrests.
