FBI placed a warning of “armed protests” being planned at all 50 state capitols and Washington, D.C., on Inauguration Day. Security has been stepped up in Washington following last week’s violent riot at the U.S Capitol where a mob of pro-Trump supporters stormed the building to prevent Congress from certifying the election. Citing “credible threats” against the popular landmark, the National Park Service has shut down the Washington Monument. However, the riots that happened on Jan. 6 are still causing concerns about the safety of the capitol as well as accusations by some GOP members that wasn’t only Trump supporters that stormed the Capitol.

Comments:

This provocateur comes out from behind the police inside the Capitol building. After appearing he incited the crowd and whips them into a frenzy. He was also near Ashli when she was murdered, change his clothes shortly after the incident, and disappeared!

Do we know who killed her, yet? With BLM 'martyrs', we know right away, even if the police were only responding to armed and immediate harm. But I still haven't heard anything about the killer, and I want a name for this provocateur.

The videos are interesting but I don't know what they prove. I also think the name of the officer who killed Ms. Babbitt should be disclosed. There was no hesitation in naming the officers in the Michael Brown and George Floyd cases. Why did he believe it necessary to shoot her?

I don't think the videos implicate the Capitol Police, but the lusty participation of the POI followed by his sneaky disappearance is very suspicious. The citizen investigator who connected these events posted them just yesterday. While we may feel that the FBI should have seen this subterfuge before, at least their POI announcement is timely and appropriate after the evidence was publicized. Agent provocateur indeed.

The video analysis supports the belief that there were agitators in the crowd inside the Capitol. Their behavior before/after the killing of Ms. Babbitt confirms that they were NOT acting as Trump supporters aggrieved with the refusal to audit the (s)election of Joemala. It is glaringly obvious to me. One does not involve themselves this way in a crowd motivated by a cause; then, having witnessed the killing of a cohort beside them, move so calmly and deliberately to transition into another identity and role. Any Trump supporters inside the building were sucked into a trap, and the entire effort was torpedoed in the aftermath. This is "going off half-cocked", foolish, and counterproductive. I agree with #1 that we need the name of the other provocateur (we already know about John Sullivan). It'll be interesting to deep-dive his background. Be smart, people.

Anyone who was at the rally and then at the Capitol must write down their eyewitness account of events. DO it now so you have a clear recollection. Do not, no matter what anyone says, become engaged with someone who urges you to retaliate. You will be doing exactly what the provocateurs want you to do so that they, with the force of government, can repress, oppress, eliminate. Meanwhile, get information as resource, and begin to try and inform as many people as possible, letters to editors, phone calls, with facts. People have short memories, some on the Dem/Left side have never seen the truth at all. Support Congressmen who at increasing risk to themselves are standing firm. They need our encouragement and support.

During an interview with CBS’s “60 Minutes,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) invoked Watergate and former President Richard Nixon as she discussed her push to impeach President Donald Trump. This comes in the wake of last week’s riots in which a group of Trump’s supporters breached the U.S. Capitol. Pelosi announced Sunday in a letter that the House of Representatives would move to impeach Trump just 10 days before his presidential term is over because he “represents an imminent threat” to “our Constitution and our Democracy.”

Even far-left PolitiFact reviewed Sullivan’s video of the mob into the Capitol and Babbitt’s shooting. They say that it doesn’t show Sullivan clearly engaged in the violence or leading the run-up to the Capitol, although it does show him animated as he spoke with police and rioters from the frontlines.  CORRECTIONS*

President-elect Joe Biden said on Twitter Saturday that President Trump is "not above the law," after the House announced it would be bringing articles of impeachment on Monday. "Our president is not above the law," Biden wrote. "Justice serves the people — it doesn’t protect the powerful." But the president-elect has stopped short of calling for Trump’s impeachment. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., called on the president to "immediately" resign. She said alternatively, Vice President Mike Pence could invoke the 25th Amendment, or else she promised the president would be impeached in the House.   CORRECTION*

President Trump was impeached a second time by the US House of Representatives on Wednesday in a largely party-line vote that saw a handful of Republicans join Democrats to blame the outgoing commander-in-chief for sparking last week’s Capitol siege. The measure reached 217 “yea” votes shortly after 4:20 p.m. to make Trump the only president to be impeached twice. The final vote was 232-197, with 10 Republicans crossing party lines and four Republicans not voting when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif) announced around 4:35 p.m. No members of the GOP voted in 2019 to impeach Trump the first time.
