A nationwide push to relax drug laws took a significant step forward Tuesday as voters made Oregon the first state to decriminalize the possession of small amounts of street drugs such as cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine. Meanwhile, five more states legalized marijuana for adults. (Snip) The Oregon drug initiative will allow people arrested with small amounts of hard drugs to avoid going to trial, and possible jail time, by paying a $100 fine and attending an addiction recovery program. The treatment centers will be funded by revenues from legalized marijuana, which was approved in Oregon several years ago. "Today's victory

I'm all for liberty...and personal risk taking...and personal responsibility. And this is such a great idea, it's time then to pull public funding for "treatment" should one become an addict. Why not sell this stuff legally in head shops or pharmacies? I hate half-measures.

It'll take a huge federal bailout to bury the dead ones and keep those living comfortable, happy and in good enough health to continue using.

I'm all for this, as long as they quit reviving those who OD, or subsidizing their multiple trips to rehab. Anyone who has to go to rehab 5 or 6 times (like Hunter Biden) clearly doesn't want to quit. Whatever happened to the old AA wisdom that drunks and druggies had to "hit bottom" before they could be helped?

Hunter Biden, is packing already! All they have to do now is decriminalize pedophilia, rape, murder, incest, and whatever else you can think of.

In a move they hoped to attract the nation's finest to Oregon, they changed the state's name to Ore-Gone. The state was declared a hate free zone with zero tolerance, and republicans were seized in their homes and sold to China. The governor said "the 13th Amendment cannot be used as a shield to protect haters."

Look for an announcement from Ex-Dictator Obama and that hate filled pus sack Moochelle, that they are purchasing a multimillion dollar mansion in a predominately white neighborhood near Portland so Barry can now legally obtain his crack and smoke it too.

There's nothing better behaved than an intravenous drug user who has his fix. If he mixes it too strong and dies, he's perfectly behaved. If he doesn't get his fix, he's liable to rob someone.

I predict a big piece of eastern Oregon to break away into a new conservative state. All the dopey stuff is centered in the urban jungles.

Hey Oregon! Thanks boys and girls! You make my pathetic state of Minnesota look half way sane in comparison! Defining deviancy down has been part of the democRATs playbook for 30 years and they just keep adding new and inventive plays to the book! Now, let's get child molesting, rape, murder and all the other kinds of fun that a perv. can have added to fill our book up! Wow, you really rock as a state to live in! Really sad. The Oregon Coast is one of the prettiest drives I have ever taken. Breath taking views. But...that was back in the mid '80's. I wouldn't get within 500 miles of your state now. Cooties might jump on me!

Drugs should have never been legalized, but then again the state needs the tax dollars, while the working man pays for the food, trash clean up, medical bills, and the burial. What a deal!
