Democrat Senator Joe Manchin (WV) appears to have started to shift his views on the filibuster with remarks that he made on two news shows on Sunday morning. The shift from Manchin comes after he has repeatedly stated that he would not vote to end the filibuster, despite pressure from the far-Left. During the interviews on Sunday, Manchin repeatedly claimed that he was not open to ending the filibuster because he did not want to strip the minority party of their power in the Senate, but signaled that he was open to changing it.Fox News host Chris Wallace asked Manchin if he would consider “reforming the filibuster” if “Republicans

Joe always votes the way Democrats say. We have had a decade of teasers on this man. Stop it! He is never going to vote the right way.

Someone tell me if I wrong. I think the reason the 'rats are in such a hurry and pushing so much thru that's against our freedoms is because they need the VP there in case of a tie so she can vote for whatever evil they have concocted. As soon as they're done, they'll find a reason to get rid of Biden and put her in as President. And I wouldn't put it past them to have some patsy ready to assassinate Biden and then blame it on Trump and his supporters.

#6, If you believe the voters have more influence than Manchin’s fellow democrats, think again. Just look at his record. He will bend to the will of the democrat party because he fears them. They have proven that they can cancel you in a heartbeat and will do so gleefully. This man does not take principled stands and especially not in this political climate when doing so means political suicide. Democrats demand complete submission and they get it.

He's a democrat. He tries to act normal, but he's got that loose screw that all democrats have. Why would someone support democrats in their debasing of this country, unless, besides the loose screw, someone's throwing money at you.

#6, you're right that West Virginia is a deeply red state. When Manchin was governor, he had a 100% pro-life voting record. Since he has gone to DC, it has fallen to 25%. He can eventually be counted on to cave to the Democrats.

I agree, where are the WV Voters on this? THEY are the ones he should be worrying about. THEY are the ones who should be calling and reminding him HE can be voted out if he votes for such a thing. We can't do anything to change his mind, and money won't help him if the Voters back home decide he is no longer representing them. Trump should call up the Governor and tell him to get on it! HE can Rally the voters faster than anyone and maybe wake Manchin up to the fact that they are watching and they WILL vote him out if he changes his mind on the Filibuster!

The Democrats all march in lock step. The only ones that don't see this is the media. Manchin will never side with the Republicans. He is making some noise, but only because he is hoping somebody will throw some money his way.

There is no such thing as a moderate democrat in congress. There is no such thing as a Democrat working across the aisle in congress.
Any democrat running as "his own man", moderate policies and or bipartisanship is either a liar or hasn't gotten the memo.

#21, Manchin will not be the vp pick for Mattressback. The WV gov. is a republican, so would likely pick a republican placeholder in the senate, which would eliminate the dems' advantage there. I say it will be Schmucky Schumer. Gag!!
This would be a fun game if it weren't so sickening.

West Virginians had their chance to replace this phony in 2018. Instead they kept Manchin in place who went on twice to vote to remove President Trump, whom they had overwhelmingly voted for. Those Trump/Manchin voters owe decent Americans an apology.
If the leader of the Republican senators were effective Manchin long ago would have been offered a deal to switch parties that he couldn’t refuse. Mitch McConnell lost seats during the last two elections, losing the senate this January. Due to his incompetency the filibuster will likely be junked rendering the Republicans completely irrelevant. Why do the Republican senators keep loser McConnell in place?

If the leftist and liberal Democrats have to get rid of the Senate filibuster to pursue their leftist and liberal Democrat political they will do that and then will demand that the filibuster be reinstated anytime the wimpy Republicans are back in the majority, that looks like never, after the Democrats pass their HR 1 election and voting reform package and make tens of millions of illegal aliens Democrat socialist voters.
