MINNEAPOLIS — Late last year, a 14-page questionnaire began to arrive in mailboxes across Minneapolis and its suburbs. It asked if the recipient had watched the video of George Floyd dying under a police officer’s knee. What about the protests against police brutality, it wanted to know — did you go? How do you feel about Black Lives Matter? It asked respondents to list their education level, any martial arts training, even their favorite podcasts. And then there was the essay prompt, followed by a daunting expanse of blank paper: Tell us everything you have heard about the death of

Comments:

Jury may have to be sequestered during the trial. They leave out the part that sequestering will be for a lifetime if the verdict displeases the street mob.

I'm not a trial lawyer but there are already so many things wrong with holding it in Minneapolis that I suspect defense lawyers are already having someone prepare appeals of current issues while the defense lawyers prepare the defense. They're having a trial where there were already riots and the government buildings have barricades because of their fear of residents rioting again if the defendants are found not guilty. Not sure how anyone could get a fair trial when all the jurors are intimidated before the fact.

No. The first challenge was finding an unbiased prosecutor, and the State of Minnesota failed miserably.

The Fentanyl China sends US through Mexico is strong stuff. George Floyd should not have swallowed those pills after his arrest. They cause lung edema, difficulty to breathe, and at that dose death. I will have to say in favor of Saint George Floyd that his porn movies, which I have seen, showed an endowment that puts most American males to shame.

Remember that the jerk Hennepin County Prosecutor, Blowhard Showboat Freeman, Democrat, immediately announced in a presser that he intended to prosecute the case himself, but had the rug jerked out from under him by the larger Blowhard Showboat, the brave wifebeater, MN Attorney General Keith X. Muhammed Ellison, whom has never prosecuted a murder case in his life. What could possibly go wrong?

If the prosecutor goes for the charge of 1st degree murder and not manslaughter he could lose. It's predetermined Chauvin is a 'murderer' so there is blood in the water already. Get your velvet portraits of Saint George Floyd while you can. I'm glad I'm nowhere close to Minneapolis for this railroading circus event.

A significant provision making any student loan forgiveness tax-free has been included in the $1.9 trillion federal coronavirus stimulus package that’s working its way through Congress and will likely soon be signed into law. Currently, any student loan debt canceled by the government can be considered taxable and levied at the borrower’s normal income tax rate. For example, if someone earns $50,000 a year, and was at a 22% tax rate, and received $30,000 in student loan forgiveness, they might be slapped with a $6,600 bill from the IRS. Soon, borrowers may be off the hook from these payments. What

Hennepin County Judge Peter Cahill postponed the start of Derek Chauvin's trial in the killing of George Floyd on Monday, after an appeals court ordered him to reconsider his original decision to dismiss a third-degree murder charge against the former Minneapolis police officer. The decision came as a pool of potential jurors waited to start the selection process. The delay comes as Chauvin's defense attorney, Eric Nelson, said he is finalizing an appeal asking the Minnesota Supreme Court to review the question of whether Cahill should consider reinstating the murder charge. "We're prepared to try this case. It is not

As KABC-TV reported, Willia and Charles Bruce's property was taken away when the city council used eminent domain in 1924. As we reported two days ago, Joe Biden completely made no sense when he was trying to explain the Wuhan coronavirus relief bill. It was really bad and it explains why they’re afraid to have him deliver an address to Congress or do any kind of a real solo press conference, because at this point they have to be afraid this is all going to fall apart if he does anything live and this all becomes too obvious to the American people. I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.
