New York—Americans who own stocks are pulling further away from those who don’t, as Wall Street roars back to record heights while much of the economy struggles. And Black households are much more likely to be in that not-as-fortunate group that isn’t in the stock market. Only 33.5% of Black households owned stocks in 2019, according to data released recently by the Federal Reserve.(Snip) Many reasons are behind the split. Experts say chief among them is a longstanding preference by many Black investors for safer places to put their money—the legacy, some say, of decades of discrimination and fear.

Twenty twenty has introduced several dynamic young Republican candidates who use eye-catching, powerful campaign videos to challenge incumbent Democrats. Joe E. Collins III, a naval veteran from South Los Angeles, is the latest entrant in this category. He's running as a Republican and challenging Rep. Maxine Waters, who's spent 44 years enriching herself while her constituents live in the slums of South L.A. (AKA California's 43rd Congressional District).
Collins opens his video by standing in front of Maxine Waters's beautiful Southern California mansion, worth a hefty $6 million. It's not in her district, though.

Breonna Taylor was a 26-year-old emergency-room medical technician. It is obvious from Joe Biden telling voters that they don't deserve to know if he plans to pack the Supreme Court that he and his handlers are terrified of a negative voter reaction to the plan. Biden's remarkably stupid comment came in response to a reporter's question at an interview where no teleprompter guidance was feasible:
On Friday, a KTNV reporter asked him again about whether he backs court packing, saying, "This is the number one thing that I've been asked about from viewers in the past couple of days."
"Well, you've been asked by the viewers who are probably Republicans,

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ refusal to answer the question of whether a Democrat victory would lead to the packing of the Supreme Court is troubling. It suggests they do indeed intend to pack the court. That would be a threat to our republic, made all the worse because the press is asleep/
Here's why:
If President Trump threatened to pack the Supreme Court there would be 24/7 news coverage with Democrat wailing and gnashing of teeth about Trump’s threat being an extinction event for democracy, blah, blah, blah. But when it’s the Democrat party making such a threat, all you hear from the media is crickets.

People are noticing the missing crowds when Joe Biden and Kamala Harris visited Phoenix on Thursday. Not a single person turned out to cheer on the Democrat party candidates. None. Nada. Zip. That is stunning. Trump-supporters find this heartening when comparing this to the crowds who turn out for Trump. However, we may be making head-to-head comparisons between the wrong crowds. The critical metric might not be Biden crowds versus Trump crowds. It might be Trump-supporters' enthusiasm versus Black Lives Matter protesters' enthusiasm — and the latter could win.

If money can buy political votes, veteran Senator Lindsey Graham is toast. His re-election opponent, Jaime Harrison, has raised more money in the third quarter of 2020 than any Senate candidate in history, outdistancing even Beto O'Rourke, who ran in Texas, with a population almost six times larger than South Carolina. James Arkin of Politico writes:
South Carolina Democrat Jaime Harrison raised a staggering $57 million in the third quarter of this year, shattering the previous record for a Senate candidate as he seeks to unseat GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham.
The haul only increases Harrison's massive financial advantage over Graham, who is seeking a fourth term in the Senate

Was a local Denver television station hiring violent Antifa supporters to act as their personal security guards?
That's what it's starting to look like, given that Saturday, an apparent radical leftist was hired as a 'security guard' by local news station 9News/KUSA, who then got into a shouting altercation with an anti-communist group member, pulled out a gun, and opened fire on Lee Keltner, shooting him dead. It happened at dueling rallies in Denver's civic center between Black Lives Matter/Antifa/Communist Party USA supporters, and assorted biker-like anti-communist groups holding a rally called "Patriot Muster."

As a second wave of infections surged in Europe, lockdown weary populations sought another way to contain the coronavirus pandemic.

Governments across the globe are struggling to keep up with a sharp rise in infections and manage growing public frustration over a new restrictions as the pandemic enters a second wave."

Most Willie Nelson fans know at least a little about his idyllic Hill Country world headquarters, home to his ranch, his golf course, his recording studio, and his Old West movie set, Luck, Texas. But lesser known in the lore is Willie World’s gritty urban prototype, a sprawling fourteen-acre complex Willie owned for much of the eighties in the heart of Austin’s city limits.
The property ran along South Congress Avenue near the now-famous Continental Club, barely a half mile south of what was then called Town Lake, stretching east from the intersection at Academy Drive. He’d bought it on the cheap, in 1977,

It’s an article of faith among many conservatives, and some liberals, that we’re being swept by a Maoist cultural revolution destined to transform American society into a woke collective. Yet before surrendering basics like equality of opportunity, social order, and free speech to leftist authoritarians, we should consider whether they’re the ones who will wind up getting canceled.
Most Americans don’t favor defunding police or instituting race quotas; they are wary of the costs connected with the Green New Deal and of allowing Washington to control local zoning. Many are already voting with their feet, fleeing places that promote these ideas and seeking out areas aligned with more recognizable American values.

All Hail Justice Barrett!
Here she is: Mrs. America. Amy Coney Barrett rode into D.C. a few weeks ago like a Valkyrie galloping forth to vanquish foes in her Honda Odyssey minivan. Impervious to the slings and arrows of sputtering Democrats, immune to the dastardly virus someone snuck into her Rose Garden event, she smiled, presented her lovely parade of children, and introduced herself to the country.
Paparazzi video of Amy Coney Barrett caught her leaving her home in South Bend, Indiana the morning of the official announcement. I watched in awe as she shepherded her brood into her minivan, all dressed up, hair combed, dressed to kill.

You know what they do when a criminal in prison misbehaves and needs a little extra punishing?
Exactly what government officials across America have been doing to our elderly nursing home residents for over six months now – they deprive him of companionship with other human beings. It’s the most effective way to punish someone without getting your hands dirty – apart from keeping him in a relentless state of dread.
But, of course, we did that too.
Deprived of visitors and even forced to keep away from fellow residents – the frailest among them unable to even leave their beds – many were left with nothing but the TV for companionship.

With nobody visible on the street outside, the reporter said, “Pretty much all the people we saw who pulled into the parking lot about 45 minutes ago were with the Biden-Harris campaign or the pool reporters.” And she noted that because both halves of the ticket were appearing,it was “technically, a big event.”

So far, Biden has inartfully dodged the question of whether he would support adding justices to the Supreme Court. All he would say in the debate was “Whatever the position I take, that will be the issue” and in Arizona, he said, “You’ll know my opinion on court-packing when the election is over.”

Sources familiar with the situation have told Axios that the National Governors Association is looking into contingencies to replace Cuomo, 62, as chair because he would no longer be able to chair the organization if he becomes AG. According to the report published Sunday afternoon, 'the governor is being pushed for the job and Biden would consider him based on their long friendship.'

Among the threats of persecution and death we face for supporting President Trump are some that are frankly hilarious. It’s one thing for libs to try to leverage fear to intimidate their patriotic opponents; it’s another thing to try it when they think that Kevlar is a hip Indonesian spice you sprinkle over your kale, and that SIG Sauer is a happening non-binary Swedish stand-up comic who doesn’t tell jokes because laughter is racist. We recently had Chris Hayes opine that, as soon as they install a Grandpa Badfinger regime – and even before Kamala can exercise Botox Nan’s new 25th Amendment option – we Trump supporters should be hauled

The Democratic Senate candidate in Kansas came out in support of Australian-style gun confiscation during a campaign event last weekend.
When asked about adding a training requirement to the state's gun-carry permit application process, Democrat Barbara Bollier said U.S. gun-control measures do not go far enough. After noting that she has a daughter living in Australia, Bollier praised a controversial gun-confiscation program the country instituted in the 1990s.
"They have no guns. They don’t allow them. They just took them all away," Bollier said with a chuckle

Rioters toppled statues of Presidents Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt in Portland, Oregon, on Sunday night — the latest attacks on monuments in several months of left-wing unrest. (Tweet/Video) According to OregonLive.com, the statues in the South Park Block were toppled during an “Indigenous Day of Rage.” The nearby Oregon Historical Society Museum was also reportedly attacked. (Tweet/Video) Video of the toppled statues showed they had been vandalized with the words “STOLEN LAND” spray-painted on their bases. The Roosevelt statue was also vandalized with “MURDERER.”

Mr. Biden, you have a history of cultivating disturbingly close relationships with white supremacists.
As segregationists were dying off in the 1970s, you went out of your way to be pals with them, then bragged about it. You once called notorious segregationist Senator Strom Thurmond “one of my closest friends.” In 1988, when you were mounting a run for president that collapsed when your multiple acts of plagiarism came to light, you deployed a dog whistle when you bragged that the arch-racist former Alabama governor George Wallace had given you a leadership award in 1973.

Saudi Prince Bandar bin Sultan, one of the most widely recognized and respected Saudi officials in the world, gave a three-part interview to the government-controlled Al Arabiya news network and proceeded to tear down 70 years of myths about the leadership of the Palestinian national movement. Bandar spent 22 years as a Saudi ambassador to the U.S. and is known to speak for the government.
It was an extraordinary series of interviews — a brutal assessment of the numerous self-inflicted wounds by Palestinian leaders going all the way back to the 1930s.

For nearly 50 years now Democrats have plotted to annihilate the Supreme Court.
Unable to sell their dangerous, destructive — even murderous — legislative agenda to voters, Democrats instead sought to strip the judicial branch of its independence by infecting it with their own twisted partisanship.
The reigning euphemism of the day is “court packing,” which former Vice President Joe Biden openly refuses to discuss with voters until after the election. A more accurate term is “expanding” the Supreme Court by adding seats to dilute the currently sitting justices.

Most of the national polls portend defeat for President Trump in November. At the time of this writing the RealClearPolitics average shows him behind his Democratic challenger, former Vice President Joe Biden, by nearly 10 points. This lead emboldened Biden to tell a group of supporters on Saturday that the only way he could lose was through polling place “chicanery.” Why, then, do most Americans believe Trump will win? Survey after survey has found that, regardless of which candidate they support, a majority of respondents predict a Trump victory. Yet another confirmation of this phenomenon is available in a recent Gallup poll.
According to the Gallup survey, “56% of Americans

COVID cases are on the rise, or so we are told daily by a hysterical media. (snip) Is a “case” simply a positive test?
The CDC answers this question with a “case definition.” A case is not just a positive test. Instead what is needed is, “Presumptive laboratory evidence AND either clinical criteria OR epidemiologic evidence.” Notice the AND, meaning not simply a positive test.
Yet what the media trumpets as “surging cases” are only positive tests. There is no discussion of whether or not any of the individuals with positive tests are showing symptoms or are actually sick

It is worth taking a second look at Bret Stephens’s extensive takedown of the New York Times‘s egregious 1619 Project on Friday. My understanding from a longtime Times person I know is that one of the unwritten rules is that you never criticize a colleague in print—especially on the editorial pages. And yet Stephens names names and takes prisoners:
Those concerns came to light last month when a longstanding critic of the project, Phillip W. Magness, noted in the online magazine Quillette that references to 1619 as the country’s “true founding” or “moment [America] began” had disappeared from the digital display copy without explanation.

Happy Columbus Day. There, I said it. And I mean it. I don’t wish you a solemn Columbus Day, nor a mournful one, nor still a guilty one. No, I wish you a happy Columbus Day.
It’s a day to celebrate the contributions of Italian-Americans to our nation’s history. That was the original intent behind the holiday, after all, to elevate Italians at a time when they still faced marked bigotry. But more than that, it’s a day to celebrate a man whose example of courage and determination we need, as they say, now more than ever. Christopher Columbus wasn’t just the man most responsible for opening up the New World

Portland absorbed another night of violent protests Sunday that resulted in the toppling of two statues in the city and reports of numerous buildings with their windows smashed in, including the Oregon Historical Society.
The unrest was reportedly tied to the "Day of Rage," on Columbus Day eve.
Andy Ngo, a journalist who has been documenting the unrest in the city, posted images of the destruction on Twitter. The Oregonian reported that protesters managed to bring down statues of Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt.

The private security guard who has been jailed on suspicion of first-degree murder stemming from a deadly shooting on Saturday in Denver during dueling protests was reportedly not properly licensed to work in the position.
Matthew Robert Dolloff, 30, was reportedly working as a contracted security guard for 9News at the time of the shooting. The local news station reported late Sunday that he was contracted through another company to accompany its news staff to the protests.
The station reported that it later found out that it appears that Dolloff was not actually employed by the company it used and the company did not provide additional information about his actual employer.

Well, well, well, what woman wouldn't aspire to have one of these? (Snip for tweet) It's the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, with her image done up in 20,000 "sustainable and organic" tampons at a newly revamped old motel now called Hotel Zena. That's not a joke, I did a deep dive into the two artists' statements and that's what one of them, Andrea Sheehan, actually said. The entire art collection, complete with a wall of fame featuring Angela Davis, Rigoberta Menchu, Jane Fonda and other icons of the left, as well as women who married their way into money such as Melinda Gates and Michelle Obama,

Re-energized after a bout with COVID-19, President Trump has ambitious plans for the next few weeks, and more after the election. The president gave a glimpse of his agenda Sunday, starting with another round of declassifications of Russia documents before the election and more tax cuts for the middle class after it. "We're giving a middle income tax cut very soon, as soon as we win, we're giving a middle income tax cut," Trump told Fox News host Maria Bartiromo. "It'll be a very substantial middle income tax cut. And I've already done this, but you have to understand we're increasing it."
