The United Kingdom's Home Office has a national security webpage delineating the warning signs of "radicalization," and it provides a remarkably accurate description of the political left here in America. (1) Becoming increasingly argumentative. When was the last time Democrats looked happy about anything? For them, we are in a perpetual state of danger and misery.

Comments:

This article is an excellent description of exactly what's going on with the Democrats. Well worth the read!

Shurk's nine warning signs of dim radicalization are spot on. We will find out on November 3rd if enough Americans have woken up. Eligible to vote Americans, that is.

Excellent summation. Some points you knew about but had not articulated them for what they are. I would comment, however, the Communists are because they are. For 50+ years, they have been dreaming of this moment and now, they are closer than ever. I lay this at the feet of GWB. He “normalized” radical Islam (Religion of Peace) and that, IMHO, became a major impetus in normalizing every other lifestyle and worldview that is now the enemy seeking to destroy us.

Police officers dealing with the public have a fairly savvy approach to persuasion: first ask, then tell, then force. It works because it accounts for the dignity and self-respect of others. Uncertain rookie cops and bullies are the ones who forget to ask, adding unnecessary friction to encounters between citizens and the state. In the early days of the coronavirus, everyone went from being carefree and complacent to scared in the blink of an eye.

It's just a question don't attack, I've been a supporter from day one, and continue to be, but I'm surprised at how he is handling the re-opening of the country. Some of these Governors are blowing it big time, and it seems like he doesn't have any tricks up his sleeve, and is kind of supporting the way they are going about it. Just curious what everyone's take is, I wish he was advising with a more diverse group of people. Thoughts?”

The debate about “reopening the economy” is a phony debate. It’s phony because “the economy” isn’t shut down. Far from it. Walmart is still open. Dollar General is open. Amazon is open. Alibaba is open. It just so happens that the big-box mass merchandisers and online retailers responsible for flooding our country with crap from Communist China are open.

Post-virus America can be a decentralized, more accountable country in school, business, and government. My parents' generation, that of the War of 1939–45, looked forward to the peace with wistful ballads like "When They Sound the Last All Clear" and "When the Lights Come On Again." I doubt if our time will hear "When I Go Back to the Office Again" or "When We Go Back to School Again." After all, home confinement doesn't match spending nights in crowded basements or Tube stations during Luftwaffe bombings

Count me as one of a diminishing number of "coronavirus response" skeptics. My vantage point is that of a working-class person (service manager in an auto repair shop). My state of Virginia has joined the growing number of states that has ordered its citizens to remain in their homes except for essential reasons, and a shutdown of non-essential businesses until at least June 10th. The good news for me is that auto repair is classed as an essential service and I have enough diverse skills to make me the kind of employee who will be the last to be laid off.

This week, Fox News’ Laura Ingraham obtained several emails from the State Department regarding a previously unknown White House meeting held in January 2016. After watching Ingraham’s presentation of the story, Ukrainian Embassy official Andrii Telizhenko, who had attended the meeting, issued an exclusive statement and provided several documents which she presented to her audience on Friday night. On May 1, 2019, New York Times reporter Ken Vogel emailed the State Department to confirm that (State Dept. official) Elizabeth Zentos had attended the January 2016 White House meeting about “Burisma Holdings and concerns that Hunter Biden’s position with the company could complicate such efforts.”

Preparations are underway in the United States and the nations of Europe to celebrate Christmas as first and foremost a tribute to materialism. These increasingly agnostic and secular societies are choosing to ignore the existence of God as well as disdain for the moral and behavioral guidelines as established by Judea-Christian teachings. They are, as a substitute, placing more and more trust in man. The ultimate consequence for a society that chooses this misguided reliance and the reality of God's outstretched helping hand is embodied in the story of a young boy from the streets of a nameless city in an unknown country.

Schrier was awarded a $50,000 scholarship and “the job of Miss America,” succeeding 2019 Miss America Nia Franklin, a classically trained opera singer from New York. Schrier, a student in the doctor of pharmacy program at Virginia Commonwealth University, touted her science background from the start, telling judges Kelly Rowland, "Queer Eye" star Karamo Brown and "Superstore" actress Lauren Ash that she's "had people who think that what I do is not necessarily a talent."

It is the inevitable nature of revolutions that they enter a point of hysteria when, like Saturn, they turn on themselves and devour their own children. While the hysteria of the current aspiring revolutionaries, or “power grabbers,” to use Ilhan Omar’s own words, is not yet at the stage where anyone is being carted off to the guillotine or sent to the gulag, the new face of the Democratic Party is devouring its parents. Its children are yet to come.

Members of the Biden family allegedly had a specific system for distributing the money they earned through influence peddling, President Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani revealed on Wednesday. According to a smoking gun text on Hunter Biden’s hard drive, members of “the Biden crime family” were expected to give half of their profits to “pop”—aka Joe Biden. Several members of the Biden’s clan, including his brother James Biden, his sister-in-law Sara, and his son Hunter, landed lucrative positions or contracts with foreign countries while Joe Biden was a U.S. senator as well as when he served as vice president.

We live in an age of nearly limitless access to information, where nearly anyone can find the accurate definition for esoteric systems of thought. And yet, for the last few days, a succession of reporters, actors, and even lawyers have used social media to spew ignorance about “originalism” in the context of jurisprudence. Almost as one, they have rushed to Twitter to hyperventilate about handmaidens and slavery, all of it nonsense. Even presidential-election contenders who really should know better have gotten into the act.

Recently, my pastor noted during his homily that it was Respect Life week. He mentioned that President Trump had signed an executive order to protect babies born alive. The order reads: "Every infant born alive, no matter the circumstances of his or her birth, has the same dignity and the same rights as every other individual and is entitled to the same protections under federal law.” I wasn’t sure why he issued this order because President George Bush had signed into law H.R.2175 - Born-Alive Infants Protection Act of 2002. WILMINGTON, Del. -- Joe Biden's presidential campaign said Thursday that vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris will suspend in-person events until Monday after two people associated with the campaign tested positive for coronavirus. The campaign said Biden had no exposure, though he and Harris spent several hours campaigning together in Arizona on Oct. 8. Harris was scheduled to travel Thursday to North Carolina for events encouraging voters to cast early ballots. The campaign told reporters Thursday morning that Harris' communications director and a traveling staff member for her travel to Arizona tested positive after that Oct. 8 trip. Twitter locked the account of @TeamTrump, an official Trump campaign account, citing the same policy it used to ban links to the New York Post’s bombshell story on hitherto unrevealed links between Joe Biden and the Ukrainian gas giant Burisma. The English department at Cornell University has voted to change its name in an effort to distinguish English the language from English the nationality. The department at the Ivy League university in New York voted to change its name to “the department of literatures in English” during its first faculty meeting of the fall semester earlier this month, the student-led Cornell Daily Sun reported Wednesday. The change would help to eliminate the “conflation of English as a language and English as a nationality,” English professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies Kate McCullough told the newspaper.

The polls appear to be shifting in favor of Joe Biden. A commonly heard explanation from Trump supporters is many of the polls are oversampling Democrats. This is true in some cases but not all. So, is something else going on here we do not really understand? (snip) According to a recent Cato Institute poll, 77% of conservatives are now afraid to express their political views versus roughly 50% of liberals. This includes 40% of Republicans with a college degree and 60% with a post-graduate degree, who are afraid their political views will harm their careers, versus only 25% of Democrats.
