Most of the national polls portend defeat for President Trump in November. At the time of this writing the RealClearPolitics average shows him behind his Democratic challenger, former Vice President Joe Biden, by nearly 10 points. This lead emboldened Biden to tell a group of supporters on Saturday that the only way he could lose was through polling place “chicanery.” Why, then, do most Americans believe Trump will win? Survey after survey has found that, regardless of which candidate they support, a majority of respondents predict a Trump victory. Yet another confirmation of this phenomenon is available in a recent Gallup poll. According to the Gallup survey, “56% of Americans

I can't speak for anyone else but I do know this for myself. I want a working President not a politician's President. I want a President who loves this country and will work effortlessly for it. I want a President who looks at the strengths of this country and not the weaknesses. Yes, we need to take a glance at the weaknesses but only when applying our strengths to overcome the weaknesses. I want a President who loves every citizen in this country and wants to Make America Great Again. That slogan speaks volumes.

It's the same thing during every election. The left's usual tactic is to try to create that fake sense of inevitability among the right that the pubbie candidates can only lose. This is what the dim party does. It relies on the msm to do its dirty work. But, you know, lefties, it will be your own base that doesn't show up. What's more, a good portion of your base will actually vote for Trump. Have a nice day, lefties.

All the media misdirection, rigged polls, and dem pontifications will all lead to defeat for the dems. "the prevailing atmosphere in the community", i.e. the true feelings of the American People, who are quite aware that Trump has been a good President and good for them. Coincidently, it indicates that the American People KNOW that the dems/media/Left are all lying and the People are discounting them.

I hope so. The Republican party has a history of screwing up a "sure thing." Usually, only when strong leaders (think Trump, Reagan, Eisenhower) lead the party beyond its "RINO, establishment" thinking, the party wins. I am cautiously optomistic for President Trump's re-election, but remember, his 2016 win was due to 70,000 vottes in three states (0.005% of all votes cast). That's a rounding error that worked in our favor. Can we count on that in 2020? I think that's enough votes that the Dems can steal. As some one said, if Pres Trump wins Penna. by 250,000 votes on election night, the Dems won't be able to steal that many.

There are two reasons the polls are skewed. First: post-election claims that massive Democrat voter fraud occurred will be discredited because, after all, the results concurred with the poll numbers. Second: if Trump overcomes the Democrat cheaters, then they will claim that he cheated - with their claim justified by the disparity in poll numbers.

President Trump signed an executive order on Tuesday to make his pledge to help plant, restore, and conserve a trillion trees a reality. The executive order puts some federal government muscle behind Trump’s announcement in January that the United States would help plant a trillion trees as part of a World Economic Forum initiative designed to address climate change. Trump has avoided mentioning climate change when touting his announcement, but he and Republican lawmakers have used the trillion trees effort to tout their environmental bona fides. “Promoting healthy and resilient forests in the United States has been a top priority for President Trump and his administration,” a White House official said.

Due to the irrational impulses Donald Trump brought out in his opponents, a sensible, moderate, pragmatic record in foreign policy is in danger of being jettisoned simply because he initiated it. Yet the consequences of such knee-jerk rejection will be a return to past policies that demonstrably failed. It is alleged that President Trump has destroyed European relations, which until he became president were based, conventional wisdom has it, on respectful dialogue among the NATO allies. Like much conventional wisdom in foreign policy, this is a bit of a legend. There always have been tensions in NATO, which nevertheless saved Europe from total domination by Soviet imperialism. And it is worth noting

On the opening day of the Senate Judiciary Committee’s Supreme Court confirmation hearings, Democrats seemed to want to avoid talking about nominee Amy Coney Barrett. Evidently, polling showed Democrats that their scorched-earth tactics against Brett Kavanaugh backfired in the 2018 Senate races. And they got the memo that the attacks on Barrett’s religious beliefs that they deployed during her appellate court confirmation hearings were likely to go over about as well as a Yankees parade in South Boston. Furthermore, they cannot question the credentials of Barrett, who is widely respected by lawyers regardless of their ideology and earned the American Bar Association’s highest “well qualified” rating.

ALBANY, N.Y. — Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo had barely finished a fairly routine coronavirus briefing earlier this month when he got word that the New York City mayor, Bill de Blasio, had just blindsided him. The mayor unexpectedly announced that he intended to close down schools and nonessential businesses in parts of Brooklyn and Queens, where the coronavirus was surging in communities with large Orthodox Jewish populations. Mr. de Blasio asserted that he had been in contact with the state, whose approval was needed. It took less than 24 hours for Mr. Cuomo to fire back. He halted the mayor’s plan to shutter businesses, calling it imprecise

Add up everything we know about the ongoing violence in America’s cities, and you get a troubling picture. It has nothing to do with law-abiding, peaceful demonstrations in favor of civil rights and police reform. No, the violence that exploits these well-intentioned activities — which often occurs after night falls and demonstrations have ended — is part of an organized effort to implement a radical political agenda. For starters, the violence is organized criminal activity. The same destructive activists have been identified at different times in different cities around the country. For example, in August eight members of the Seattle-based group Riot Kitchen were arrested after wreaking havoc in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

It would be great if the President was an icon of virtue and goodness, but he isn’t. As much as my Democratic friends want to parse otherwise, neither was Bill Clinton, but we overlooked Clinton’s repugnancy because we loved his booming economy. When you strip away the media noise, the fundamental question is: do you want a Trump or Biden economy in 2021 and beyond? Thankfully, both men have records in leading the country so the question isn’t a speculative one. Additionally, given that the states are experiencing dramatically different post-pandemic economic recoveries, we can see what a Trump economy is doing under conservative leadership

Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee devoted their opening statements on the Supreme Court nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to repeating a shameless lie. Why can’t they share their real reasons for opposing her? The Democrats, one after another, claimed that confirming Barrett would result in ObamaCare being overturned when the court takes it up Nov. 10, with Americans dying as a result. It’s plainly false: Several conservative justices clearly don’t buy the arguments made for striking down the law in this case. And Barrett, based on her overall philosophy, is likely to agree with them.

Joe Biden was quick to dismiss voters who say they are better off now than they were in 2016. A recent Gallup poll taken Sept. 14-28 made headlines after it revealed that 56 percent of voters said they were better off now than they were four years ago. Just 32 percent of them said they were worse off. During an interview with Cincinnati's WKRC Local 12 on Monday, reporter Kyle Inskeep cited the Gallup poll and asked the Democratic nominee, "Why should people who feel that they're better off today under a Trump administration vote for you?" For nearly 50 years now Democrats have plotted to annihilate the Supreme Court. Unable to sell their dangerous, destructive — even murderous — legislative agenda to voters, Democrats instead sought to strip the judicial branch of its independence by infecting it with their own twisted partisanship. The reigning euphemism of the day is “court packing,” which former Vice President Joe Biden openly refuses to discuss with voters until after the election. A more accurate term is “expanding” the Supreme Court by adding seats to dilute the currently sitting justices.
