Former Vice President Joe Biden called Cincinnati the "starting gate" to winning Ohio during the second of his two stops in the Buckeye State on Monday. /snip/ A group of about 50 President Donald Trump supporters rallied outside the entrance to Union Terminal about two hours before former Vice President Joe Biden planned to speak there Monday. Close to the same number of Biden supporters countered the Trump crowd.

The lack of visible support is what baffles me. The Obama, Clinton campaigns would pad the house with free food or concerts. These guys not so much. Are they saving the cash to mess with the ballots?

Yes, Joe will probably get the City of Cincinnatti.
The city.
The county? Hamilton County? That county is going to give Joe the middke finger.

Was this the stop where Biden said he was running for the Senate?

The same all over - small groups of people - likely hand picked. Truly Hillary had small hand picked crowds too. Ms. Harris said the campaign was limiting stops to small groups of under 50. So did they invite 50 people? And is this all who showed up? I guess they are fearful of the China virus? The MSM is obviously messing with the polls - over sampling Democrats to give XVP a 10 point lead on paper. A caller to Rush Limbaugh said today 'good' polls for Biden were a ruse that would confuse the mail in ballots (and a crooked count) with a 'at the ballot box' landslide for Trump. How many lawyers do the Dems have?

Biden doesn't have the cognitive processing to be able to handle more than a few people at a distance from him which is why all his events have crowds of 2 figures and distanced. Noise throws him. He can only speak from a teleprompter and unreliably from short remarks on cards. Even in that NBC town hall he was distanced from people who were silent and the lights tend to block seeing a crowd. On an ongoing basis, he can't sustain more than 20 minutes and makes mistakes (e.g. running for the Senate) even then. (For the debate, he was rested for days then juiced with God knows what stimulants, but still faded in the last 30 minutes. And he's not going to debate again.)

i had a call from an old friend, professor colleague this afternoon. He is skilloed at political polling, taught it in a Political Science department, and his girlfriend is a retired pollster with a major poll.
i asked him if he could explain Biden's lead in the polls, but the lack of visible support for Old Jo. (My friend is a liberal democrat.)
His answer, in brief, was this.
Pollsters are unable to reach people., who are screening calls, or refusing to participate/answer questions/lying. So the pollsters are supplementing telephone polls with on line polling. but that breaks a cardinal rule of polling - allowing self selection in participation.
my friend says he doesn't see any accuracy in the current polling, and thus, ignores it.
i concur with the conclusions of my friend.

To further #9’s comment, my sister in law has early onset Alzheimer’s diagnosed when she was 55. She is now 63 and cannot deal with more than 2 people at a time. More than that and she becomes completely lost and panic stricken. Fingers must be on one heck of a cocktail to be able to speak at all.

His speech was his typical mix of stale meandering irrelevances. The room had an audience of about ten people. Whoopi doo -- this guy will sure be hard to beat!
