Seven of 10 Democrats in the new USA TODAY/Suffolk Poll say it is important to them that presumptive nominee Joe Biden picks a woman of color as his running mate on the Democratic presidential ticket this fall. A third of Democrats, among both Black and white Americans, call it "very important." The potential contender who generates the most enthusiasm as a vice presidential nominee among those surveyed is California Sen. Kamala Harris, followed by former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren. Many of the other possibilities reportedly being vetted by the Biden campaign aren't familiar

Couple of things -
First, I believe that it is not legal for the DOJ to prosecute a person who is a candidate for the presidency. I remember Bill Barr saying something about that. So, I suspect Biden will choose Susan Rice, since the recently released Peter Strzok notes indicate that both were involved in the phony prosecution of Michael Flynn. They need their A's CYed right now.
Second, although I like Mike Pence very much, I would be pleased as anything if Trump chose South Carolina Senator Tim Scott to be his running mate.

Might I add why is it so important?
Whoever is his running mate will more than likely end up as President.
Shouldn't it be more important to get someone with some idea of how to run the country?
At best demented Joe might have 2 years in him before he starts drooling so badly he can no longer carry on.

Why didn't they pick a person of color for the #1 spot? Person of color=second best?

Affirmative action means disaster 99% of the time, the last guy proved that. And this is too important for that idiocy if by some miracle Trump loses. Not racist, but not one of the "women of color" that Biden is considering is even close to qualified for the presidency.

I'll say it again -- the most appropriate woman of color that Biden could pick is Cory Booker.

Does it really matter? Neither Biden nor his Veep will ever make presidential decisions or choices.
They will be made by their DNC overseers/masters (racist terms?)
It is why there are GOP never Trumpers - he is in control, not them.

Had I been polled, I would have voted for a woman of color as well. When experience, qualifications and temperament count, pick the person based on the color of their skin, not charater. Isn't that what Martin Luthers Kings said?

Qualifications not necessary. Just two points for black and female. You know, we have too many cities and towns with bored housewife Democrats as mayors. Yeah, I said it! There's not enough money in it to attract men because they need to earn money to support a family. Unless of course you are open to another source of income, not in a small town but in a big city.

It seems to me pretty obvious that:
It is Racist to pick a candidate based on their Race, just as
It is Sexist to pick a candidate based on their Sex.
People SHOULD choose their leaders based on the Good of the Nation.
Ability, Character, and does the person want to lead the nation in the Right, or the Wrong, direction.
In reality, many people vote as if it is a popularity contest, based on what they have seen for the last few days on TV and Online Media.

I'm actually shocked it's that low. From my experience, it is more like 98% for the party of the KKK!!!
