'Social Distancing' is Snake Oil,

Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York says that it’s “shocking” to discover that 66 percent of new hospitalizations appear to have been among people “largely sheltering at home. We thought maybe they were taking public transportation,” he said, “but actually no, because these people were literally at home.” (Snip) There’s a reason that “social distancing” wasn’t a buzzword common to the American lexicon prior to 2020. There’s very little science behind “social distancing” at all.

Comments:

No joke: The science of social distancing was confirmed by a high school science project.

The real goal of social distancing is not health related all. It is an economic and political agenda. Period. The Democratic governors making their nonsense dictats don't give a rat's behind about your health or your economic well being. In fact the more that die or go broke then needing government assistance the more to blame on the bad orange man. All to make the argument he should not be re-elected.

All social distancing does is kill jobs and wreck the economy. It is not sustainable. Anyone that is a proponent of social distancing should be asked if they would continue to support it if it cost them their job or business. If they say they would, they are a liar. Politicians like Cuomo support it only because they think it will damage Trump. Its no surprise NYC has been hit so bad. All the people live on top of one another.

Its just another cutesy little phrase thats easy to remember and repeat. Most of the herd is repeating it all day every day. I'm to the point that I get really sick of the words and phrases the media tells us to repeat forever. It was collusion for a while. Then quid pro quo. Things we are never going to get any "data" on are social distancing and masks. That is because it is a political control device, and the data they get is seeing the people walking around in masks, and keeping back. Now they know how easy it is to control you with anything they make up. The Democrats are gleeful at their orchestration of the people, and they are feeling how much power they have.

So people wearing masks also have to keep 6 feet apart from those little devil droplets, even if all by themselves with only trees for company. Those people carted from home were already exposed either from within their limited travel or people like family or home health aides. Many of them were high risk already.

Don't know. Social distancing appears to work with leprosy. Am looking forward to a football game in which the player are required to social distance. Every play will be a touchdown unless they just fall down. I wear a mask when I go out because it's expected. I'd love to social distance but the other folks won't cooperate.

Saint Cuomo is spewing BS demonrat loving talking points. He's not surprised. He's doing everything he can to extend the outbreak and kill off people. First came the baby killings; then came onerous shut downs by picking his personal favorites on which businesses live and which ones die; then came his killing stay at home or be arrested; then came his purposeful nursing home killings; then came 5 bullet points on what needs to happen before a business can reopen, which miraculously turned into 9 criteria now. Next week, it'll "unexpectedly" turn into 18 criteria. Saint Cuomo is a flaming loser on all counts.

SFgate has been running a story about previous plagues and pandemics in the 1700s and 1800s, showing how masks and social distancing were employed against them. Still no real science to demonstrate that 6-feet of distance does any good stopping the transmission of something that is orders of magnitude smaller than the grains of pollen or dust particles that routinely float in the air for hours and waft for miles on a slightly breezy day, or that cloth masks do an ounce of good at stopping a virus that's orders of magnitude smaller than the gaps between the threads (or huger gaps around the edges) of most masks. Snake oil.

Ronald Reagan famously said, "The trouble with our liberal friends isn't that they're ignorant. It's that they know so much that isn't so." This might be the only thing our friends on the left have in common with yesterday's liberals. The earlier breed at least gave lip service to the value of free speech and vigorous debate. [Snip] Newsrooms and classrooms eagerly ban words that give newly discovered offense. Inevitably, the ideas the words conveyed disappear. Libraries and retailers ban the books they're found in. For Charles Vavruska, it was nothing short of a miracle cure. Days after the 53-year-old City Council staffer arrived at New York Presbyterian-Queens hospital barely able to breathe and tested positive for COVID-19, doctors started him on the controversial drug cocktail of hydroxychloroquine, an anti-malarial, and azithromycin, an antibiotic. Although Vavruska said he felt almost immediately better, he wishes the urgent-care doctor he went to see in the early days of his flu-like symptoms in mid-March could have prescribed a similar treatment before he grew progressively worse and ended up in a hospital room, hooked up to an oxygen tank and fighting for his life.
