A McKinney man accused of storming the U.S. Capitol was given away by his mobile phone, which placed him at the scene, giving agents clues they needed to identify and arrest him, federal court records show.
Kevin Sam Blakely, 55, was captured in video footage standing inside and outside of the Capitol building during the Jan. 6 uprising and riot, according to an FBI complaint.
Google location data has helped the FBI make numerous arrests of other alleged rioters across the country.

Video footage showed him standing inside and outside of the Capitol. Since when is standing "rioting?" When one is a Trump supporter, apparently.

The DoJ and FBI are currently holding about 300 political prisoners without bail to be processed through the D.C. Federal Judiciary grinder. BLM goes free without bail after all, 275 riots. Lucky Communists. There are two systems of justice and the Supreme Court is a joke. The USA is the laughingstock of the world since elections are stolen so easily. Donaldjtrump.com

How can anyone be accused of "storming" the Capitol, if the Capitol police were waving them inside?
Where do the attorneys in the Department of Justice and, I assume, the Federal Bureau of Investigation get their law degrees?

How creepy of Google to follow everyone who has a GPS on their phone or watch and then snitch. Not to mention the pervasive CCTV or video surveillance used. That political campaign funding is not 100% transparent but lawmakers can follow private citizens on their daily rounds and then have them arrested for wrongthink is exactly the sort of abuse of power our founders warned about. Google = gulags.

How many who are burning and rioting in Seattle and Portland are being tracked by their phones.
How many who were arrested are still in jail?
What is going on here? This isn't Justice. The FBI has become the Luca Brazzi of the Democrat party.

"Storming"? The Capitol police removed the barriers and held the doors open for the protestors. I saw the video.

To bad the FBI didn't put as much effort into investigating the fraudulent election as they are chasing down these so-called rioters.

Next time you riot, leave the phone home or send it on a trip through some post office. FBI kids know how to play with cell phones but can't figure out who looted and burned a building or who shot Ashli Babbett.

Google was recruited by Obama to be an assistant to the NSA and CIA. The FBI was corrupted long before that.

As soon as I got my smart phone and iPad, I removed everything Google from both of them. If you have their apps they can track you even when your phone is turned off.

It doesn't take GPS, just cell tower triangulation. And, a phone doesn't need to be on to return a ping.

So, the FBI is relentless in capturing all those Trump Domestic Terrorists, continuing to hunt them down almost 3 moths after they peaceably entered the Capitol and imprisoning them without bail, as though they have committed capital murder.
Meanwhile, what of John Sullivan, the BLM organizer from Utah that was standing next to Ashli Bobbit in the Capitol Building when she was murdred by Law Enforcement? RELEASED...Probably with charges dropped.
The FBI can be diligent and persistent in hunting down a conservative "criminal," but not so mush for the assassin of Seth Rich, or "Snort" Biden.

Storming? That was a guided tour led by capital police. They were then guided to a bottle neck so a death could happen to blame on Trump and his supporters. The shooter of Babbitt was told to shoot someone that day and was instructed to that's why the secrecy. The fence, barbed wire and barricades are Pelosi props along with the 'palace guard' (NG).

I swear I'm going on Shark Tank with my Rent-A-Burkha kiosk idea. Just think about it. If this guy had been wearing a burkha he could go anywhere and stand without being hunted down by some crazed Google person. And nobody would know if he's white or purple, male or female, gay or straight, old or young, a cop or a robber. Of course I'm reducing this issue to the ridiculous but it would be one way to put an end once and for all to social justice issues.

When Google removed it's motto "Don't be Evil" they seem to immediately started to be evil.
It's as if the place is a place of Demons and couldn't stand a positive motto before doing Evil.

Walking, standing, looking......MIGHT conceivably be trespassing. But unless they can prove some breaking, or some actually damage that he did.....seems like at the very worst it could be some kind of trespassing or unauthorized entry.
Stupid, fascist thugs running this like the Gestapo.
Who murdered Ashli Babbitt?
Why isn't he in prison?

The only way to "shut down" a cell phone these days (since many/most do NOT have removeable batteries these days) is to put it into an RFI protected pouch (lined with a metal mesh) or wrap it in several layers of aluminum foil, without any gaps or holes. That will keep any radio wave signals from getting to the phone, or the phone sending any.
Turning off GPS (location) makes the location less precise, but the phone can still be located by triangulation from cell towers.
You have bugged (they can listen any time they want) yourself and put a tracker on yourself when you have a mobile phone, it's just that simple.

The FBI has proven he was at the Capitol, and brought up a 2016 misdemeanor. But the FBI has provided nothing to say he did anything wrong, instead self congratulating themselves on proving that he was in DC. The FBI did not provide us with a copy of any warrant, approved by any judge, or the evidence they have any probable cause for their interest in this man. Nothing but he was in DC. Pelosi was also in DC. Maybe the FBI should get a warrant on her.
