(Snip) "The ruling says if you have an immediate threat to your life due to climate change, due to the climate emergency, and if you cross the border and go to another country, you should not be sent back because you would be at risk of your life, just like in a war or in a situation of persecution," Grandi said. We are preparing. We are building a tall, strong wall on our border.

So when this mini ice age advances, I can just move anywhere south to where it is warm and take someone's job and government benefits? Oh, then all is fine with the world. Happy Day.

You can’t lecture people about “climate change” if you flew to Davos in a private jet.
Morons.

I am genuinely concerned that one-half of the political spectrum has gone stark-raving mad.

So much BS. This means there would effectively be no borders. Countries are defined by language, culture, and BORDERS. Respect the BORDERS.

Why would anyone have to move? I though it was a global thing?

That horse is dead. You can flog it all you want. It's not getting up, no matter what the climate brat says.

Of course, the UN would have to manage all the money forked over from the U.S. and other countries. Only they have the corruption, er, experience to use it properly.

You couldn't be sent back home if your home was under water so the problem is self-correcting. Refugees will use this excuse just like they have been using the old danger to their families mantra just to get a free ride from another country.

Chicken Little is still big in Davos. When the sea level rises, what in the world will the residents of Miami and Lahaina do? Convert garages to boat docks.

NIMBY, but yes, poster... Georgetown, Upper West Side, Cambridge, Boston, any tony Los Angeles suburb and up the coast... Nob Hill, The Presidio... and anywhere next to Feinstein and Pelosi's pads. And don't forget Kalorama where Douc... I mean the ex-president Obama lives. An extra few low/no income highrises there...

I imagine that within the next few centuries, or millennia, there WILL be a lot of climate refugees.
When the next Ice Age starts, a lot of people are going to move South.

The immediate object is to flood and destroy Europe and the USA with refugees. Following that there will not be much left, and you can bet your boots that China and Russia are not about that to happen to their countries.
In the USA this UN proposal will be greatly welcomed by the Democrat socialists who only see visions of millions of new foreign born socialist voters useful for the Democrats to maintain political power indefinitely, and to transform the USA into a socialist utopia.

Gosh, this is the first I’ve heard about this Climate Change thing. Is it real? Are we all going to be "done for" in ten years or so? Do I have to lie awake worrying all night tonight? How come we haven’t heard about it before? Please, spread the word to the dozen or so who haven’t been warned. The End is Near!

At which point they'll pile up in Mexico where the climate doesn't change. Or Germany where apparently it does.
