Revelle Mast wanted to be an architect when she was a kid. She changed course in high school, deciding to pursue chemical engineering to address the threat of climate change. But, last year, she made another life decision: to go into politics. “I realized about a year ago that was not feasible on the time scale that climate change is happening,” Mast said. “Nine months ago, I quit my engineering job and went full time into political work.” As global warming – the gradual increase in temperature of the Earth's atmosphere –accelerates, people are grappling with the idea that disastrous

Prattle About Climate Change is Shaping Lifestyles Fixed the headline. You can not show any cause and effect. It is all mumbo jumbo, and "Climate Change" is redundant. The climate always changes.

Been living in central Texas 50 years and it has always been just like this. People frying eggs on the sidewalk in August is not new! Frankly I like the warmth, not fond of freezing cold, both due to GW of course. It is such a shame that the data can be so obviously falsified yet all the politicians still believe it all.

Absolutely true. Every January I am stressed to the max battling cold and then each summer I am besides myself when the climate changes in the other direction. I still blame W Bush for not signing the Kyoto accords. Single-handedly with pen in hand he could have healed the planet and saved my mental health.

Responsible people have always wondered if they should bring children into the world. So about sixty plus years ago, liberal queen bee Margaret Sander and a scientist Gregory Pincus hit upon an idea. Instead of killing minorities by giving them smallpox covered blankets, they would find a way to keep minorities from even being born. Tada. Now birth control pills end up in the water supply. That helps the liberals looking for a way to emasculate all males. Voila; zero population growth. That'll teach those pesky Christians not to breed.

Many of us remember the school drills for the threat of nuclear war, essentially hiding under our desks, and that some neighbors built fall-out shelters. Still, those fears seem more rational than this hand-wringing about climate change. Shame on Al Gore and his minions.

I'm just reading a bio of one of my favorite poets, Denise Levertov (d.1998). Sadly, the last years of her life were beset with depression/anxiety because she believed the doom of the Earth was imminent because of, yes, Global Warming. It's hard for me to fully express my contempt for the agitprop "scientists" and political hucksters who make the live of millions of people miserable because of their dystopian fantasies.

The first I heard about climate change (nee global warming) was during the first Clinton Administration. Countries were pledging to reduce their carbon emissions back to levels of a previous time. However, countries would get no credit in meeting their pledge to reduce carbon if they did so by converting to nuclear power generation. I knew then and there that the Left was using the issue to achieve an agenda other than reducing carbon. Warmists today will tell us the world will end in 12 years and that the Earth will be a literal Hell. But they will not even consider using nuclear power generation to avoid such dire consequences. They are interested in gaining government power over everything in our lives, not in generating non-carbon producing electrical power.

fta: "Mast, who is a trans woman, had to make her decision on having kids when transitioning. She decided against it, and so she didn’t bank sperm. “That was a decision I made when I was 24 that I'm not having kids because the climate can't take it,” said Mast, who's from the San Francisco Bay Area. “By not having kids, I can devote that much more of my life toward fixing this crisis.”" I think the above quote pretty much sums up the mental state of adherents to this cult. Some folks, especially those with crippling mental illness, should not have children.

Years of unrelenting hyperbolic fear-mongering about 'climate change' has imprinted mental and emotional distress patterns onto impressionable young minds. Climate propaganda has already outlasted its natural lifespan, bolstered by stuff just like this piece (of ****), the lede of which promotes the lie (to wit, "As global warming – the gradual increase in temperature of the Earth's atmosphere –accelerates, " -- portraying a lengthy period of flat or cooling temps as accelerated warming, and doing so in a way so nonchalant that it implies it's universally accepted fact.

Don’t be lulled by a quiet June and July, the real Atlantic hurricane season is about to kick off. The hurricane season runs from June 1 to the end of November. But the next six weeks -- “the season within a season” -- is regularly the most dangerous and active time for storms to develop in the Atlantic, said Dennis Feltgen, spokesman for the National Hurricane Center in Miami. Only two named storms have developed in the Atlantic so far this year. Dry, dusty air from Africa’s Sahara robbed potential storms of moisture, and wind shear spurred by the El

Some 80 years ago, on Aug. 23, 1939, Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union signed the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, formally known as the Treaty of non-aggression between Germany and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. The world was shocked — and terrified — by the agreement. Western democracies of the 1930s had counted on the huge resources of Communist Russia, and its hostility to the Nazis, to serve as a brake on Adolf Hitler’s Western ambitions. Great Britain and the other Western European democracies had assumed that the Nazis would never invade them as long as a hostile Soviet Union threatened

Tuesday on MSNBC’s “The Rachel Maddow Show,” former Georgia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams accused the Republican National Committee of planning to send off-duty law enforcement officers into minority neighborhoods to “scare voters, particularly voters of color.” Abrams said, “We know that we also face foreign influence that is being denied by the White House, by the would-be tinpot dictator of Donald Trump, but also that Moscow Mitch is stopping voter rights legislation and election security legislation.
