Revelle Mast wanted to be an architect when she was a kid. She changed course in high school, deciding to pursue chemical engineering to address the threat of climate change. But, last year, she made another life decision: to go into politics. “I realized about a year ago that was not feasible on the time scale that climate change is happening,” Mast said. “Nine months ago, I quit my engineering job and went full time into political work.” As global warming – the gradual increase in temperature of the Earth's atmosphere –accelerates, people are grappling with the idea that disastrous

Prattle About Climate Change is Shaping Lifestyles
Fixed the headline. You can not show any cause and effect. It is all mumbo jumbo, and "Climate Change" is redundant. The climate always changes.

Been living in central Texas 50 years and it has always been just like this. People frying eggs on the sidewalk in August is not new!
Frankly I like the warmth, not fond of freezing cold, both due to GW of course.
It is such a shame that the data can be so obviously falsified yet all the politicians still believe it all.

Absolutely true. Every January I am stressed to the max battling cold and then each summer I am besides myself when the climate changes in the other direction. I still blame W Bush for not signing the Kyoto accords. Single-handedly with pen in hand he could have healed the planet and saved my mental health.

Libtards who claim to have PTSD from fear of the climate need to be locked up. Those who have served in combat know what PTSD actually is, and these sissified morons don’t have a clue.

Responsible people have always wondered if they should bring children into the world. So about sixty plus years ago, liberal queen bee Margaret Sander and a scientist Gregory Pincus hit upon an idea. Instead of killing minorities by giving them smallpox covered blankets, they would find a way to keep minorities from even being born. Tada. Now birth control pills end up in the water supply. That helps the liberals looking for a way to emasculate all males. Voila; zero population growth. That'll teach those pesky Christians not to breed.

Many of us remember the school drills for the threat of nuclear war, essentially hiding under our desks, and that some neighbors built fall-out shelters.
Still, those fears seem more rational than this hand-wringing about climate change. Shame on Al Gore and his minions.

Too bad but my suspicion is that this nitwit wasn't smart enough to become a chemical engineer. Politicians don't need brains or ideas on how to solve problems just big mouths and the ability to paint a poster.

One finds the search for new ways to win a Darwin Award to be a never ending quest. All one can do is drop to their knees each night and give thanks that people this irrational are choosing to eliminate their genes from the human race.

I am totally in favor of leftist not having kids over climate change fears. This is a laudable decision and should be encouraged.
I dont care what they, as individuals, DO, I only care when they deign to tell me what to do.

Liz and Ellie from the McPaper need to get WITH it! We don't call it climate change anymore.
It's called "Climate Disruption" , now - as that is even more difficult to quantify.

If these kids are all so concerned about climate change, maybe they should demonstrate their commitment to reducing carbon emissions by walking to school instead of being taken there in their parents' SUV.

I'm just reading a bio of one of my favorite poets, Denise Levertov (d.1998). Sadly, the last years of her life were beset with depression/anxiety because she believed the doom of the Earth was imminent because of, yes, Global Warming.
It's hard for me to fully express my contempt for the agitprop "scientists" and political hucksters who make the live of millions of people miserable because of their dystopian fantasies.

The first I heard about climate change (nee global warming) was during the first Clinton Administration. Countries were pledging to reduce their carbon emissions back to levels of a previous time. However, countries would get no credit in meeting their pledge to reduce carbon if they did so by converting to nuclear power generation.
I knew then and there that the Left was using the issue to achieve an agenda other than reducing carbon. Warmists today will tell us the world will end in 12 years and that the Earth will be a literal Hell. But they will not even consider using nuclear power generation to avoid such dire consequences. They are interested in gaining government power over everything in our lives, not in generating non-carbon producing electrical power.

fta: "Mast, who is a trans woman, had to make her decision on having kids when transitioning. She decided against it, and so she didn’t bank sperm. “That was a decision I made when I was 24 that I'm not having kids because the climate can't take it,” said Mast, who's from the San Francisco Bay Area. “By not having kids, I can devote that much more of my life toward fixing this crisis.”"
I think the above quote pretty much sums up the mental state of adherents to this cult. Some folks, especially those with crippling mental illness, should not have children.

And so another hand-wringing snowflake looks at the storm clouds in the sky and joins the ranks of the mentally ill. The move from engineering to politics is especially telling. I question the timing though, you must be mentally ill BEFORE you swallow the climate change fishhook.

When will another Jim Jones turn up to take these Climate Wackos off somewhere for their own final solution?
Settle down. Stop listening to the crazed, whether they be trying to sell a paper or trying to be elected to posts in DC or trying to keep the already unearned ones they have. This is not the time to turn the asylum over to the inmates, no matter how loud and shrill their siren calls…
Reveille is either mentally disturbed or she realized that a kid doesn’t know squat about being an architect, it just sounds lofty. It takes a lot of years to get there. And chemical engineering probably turned out to look like a hard row to hoe. So she will do what all the lawyers who aren’t good enough to practice law do: Go into politics. Power, baby!!!

Years of unrelenting hyperbolic fear-mongering about 'climate change' has imprinted mental and emotional distress patterns onto impressionable young minds. Climate propaganda has already outlasted its natural lifespan, bolstered by stuff just like this piece (of ****), the lede of which promotes the lie (to wit, "As global warming – the gradual increase in temperature of the Earth's atmosphere –accelerates, " -- portraying a lengthy period of flat or cooling temps as accelerated warming, and doing so in a way so nonchalant that it implies it's universally accepted fact.

In the 70's, it was Environmental Studies that was the rage. Students quickly realized that no building permit could be issued without a payout to secure an Environmental Permit.
Climate change is just the newest shakedown scam.

Funny; I live in the SoCal desert -- which is pretty much like living on the sun these days -- and I feel fine.
But then, I'm not a pussyhat-wearing pantywaist.
Long-time bad boy Palm Springs guy crashes his Mercedes and instantly finds himself in hell, surrounded by millions of souls crying out in torment because of the unbearable heat.
“Lightweights,” he says to himself, and kicks back.

#18, wrong on both points. Sad to be you.
To the climate change cult followers, answer these questions:
Do you ride a bicycle or walk everywhere? Why not? Are you a hypocrite?
Do you use air conditioning in the summer and heat your house in the winter? Why? Are you a hypocrite?
Do you grow your own food? Why not? Are you a hypocrite?
Do you have children? Why? Are you a hypocrite?
Do you have a yard? Why? Are you a hypocrite?
Do you use electronic devices? Why? Don't you know how much energy the manufacturing and data centers take? Are you a hypocrite?
I'm sure others can supply more questions....
