If you were shocked by the images of the Mexican flag flying over an Aurora, Colorado, immigration detention center this weekend, you'll be appalled at an even more disgusting spectacle:
One of the top promoters of the so-called Lights for Liberty nationwide protests by Trump-hating, ICE-bashing radicals was a

Lutheran Pastor here (though not of the “variety” that created LIRS), and I ditto what the author said. LIRS is a shameless waster of taxpayers funds and a disgraceful misuser of the name Lutheran.

Without question, most Lutherans are no doubt as outraged as Michelle Malkin about the reprehensible activism of LIRS in nationwide protests against the American government’s immigration laws.
Due to the seriousness of the activism, it is appropriate to point out that what began in 1939 as a response of American Lutherans wanting to help the needs of Europeans displaced because of World War II, actual roots go back to the 1860s when “the New York Ministerium and the Pennsylvania Ministerium joined together to help and protect Lutheran immigrants in the US.” Since that time, services have expanded to include “any refugees entering the US, support asylum seekers and migrants, and services to unaccompanied children (UACs).” It remains a faith-based organization with strong collaboration with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

For the record, there are three main Lutheran Synods in the States: Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod (LCMS), Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). The ELCA is a liberal synod; LCMS and WELS are conservative synods. A newly formed Lutheran Church group, The North American Lutheran Church (NALC), was constituted in August 2010 after having split from the ELCA. Sweeping statements about “Lutherans” or “Lutheran Churches” do a disservice to Lutherans not belonging to the liberal ELCA.
Over time, leadership of LIRS has changed, along with management and purpose. In decades past, other Lutheran synods were members of LIRS in a missionary effort to help people in need. Currently, according to their website, they are partnered with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and the Latvian Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

Lutherans, of whatever branch, Catholic Charities, and the pope who donated half a million fo move illegals into the USA, are all wrong! They work against our current laws, and are guilty of subterfuge, if not treason.

All of the federal funds going to churches to coddle illegals should be stopped. Not many remember Obola also offered Americans several thousand a month to take illegals into their homes. Nobody tracked that money either.

Don't understand #5's posting of Bible verses without an explanation. If I surmise or assume what is being said, there are just as many Bible verses to support #4's reasoning, too.

#8- #4 declared ALL Lutherans, Catholic Charities, and the pope wrong. Matthew 7:1-5 and James 4:11-12 are self-explanatory in make clear that being judgmental is inappropriate. Not ALL Lutherans or ALL Catholic Charities are wrong in the reality that not ALL members of these organizations are willing participants in violating the laws of our country. Most certainly those individuals and/or organizations violating the laws of our country should be held accountable.
As for Bible verses supporting #4’s sweeping judgmentalism, identifying specific chapters and verses approving judgmentalism would be interesting to contemplate while keeping Matthew 7:1-5 and James 4:11-12 in focus.
