Democratic New York Rep. Americans who think that the political climate in the United States is tumultuous should be aware of the disarray in its principal ally. On the heels of the evaporation of the Trump–Russia collusion scam (on which the Democrats had placed almost all their bets), the personnel changes at the Department of Homeland Security and the indisputable gravity of the numbers of illegal entries has fragmented the Democrats’ backup argument that the border was a “crisis manufactured by the president.” Attempted unauthorized border crossings of over 100,000 per month, and the opinions of senior Obama-administration officials, including the former secretary,

Washington- Well, I guess I have been right all along. Others have been saying that special counsel Robert Mueller was going to be swept up by the Kultursmog and become a tool of Hillary’s conspiracy. She said Russian hackers were the cause of her defeat — see page 395 of Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton’s Doomed Campaign — and she ordered her media to investigate. Hillary’s explanation for her defeat has been that the Russians colluded with the Trump team in fashioning her defeat. After all, she has been a lifelong enemy of Moscow, almost a member of the John Birch Society.

Though they were excruciatingly obnoxious to William Barr at Tuesday´s House Appropriations subcommittee hearing, Democrats would be well-advised to lay off the attorney general, maybe even treat him with kid gloves, because he holds a good deal of the future of their party in his hands. In fact, he is positioned to make that party bleed as perhaps no one in history. And it only makes it worse that he is clearly such a straight shooter. The big story from Barr´s testimony then before the subcommittee was not that the AG plans to release a redacted version of the Mueller report

American media have come full circle. Newspapers, among the only media in Colonial times, were highly partisan, and truth was not a priority. Today, newspaper and TV media have returned to that point. Before the Revolution, in many towns, one man with a printing press published a paper, venting his own opinions. If that stirred up anyone else, the offended one was likely to start his own paper. Competition made up for the lack of objectivity. In the 1800s, the rise of political parties and the invention of high-speed printing presses caused a spurt in circulation, and many papers blossomed. In

A couple of days before Beto O’Rourke kicked off his campaign for president, two of his former student staffers, Bryant Young and Autumn Lanning, were reminiscing about those heady days during the Texas race for U.S. Senate when it seemed they had Republican Ted Cruz on the ropes. The federal government on Tuesday raided dozens of locations belonging to doctors and medical equipment companies suspected of taking part in a massive telemarketing scam that targeted Medicare recipients and cost taxpayers nearly $1 billion. The scam relied on telemarketers scattered throughout the Philippines and Latin America who sought out elderly patients eligible for Medicare, the federal health insurance program for older Americans. When I recently discussed (in these pages) the degree of responsibility for the current catastrophic flooding that should accrue to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), I clearly stated that the entirety of flooding could not have been prevented by the Corps or any other organization. However, the severity and frequency of flooding throughout the Missouri River basin — most specifically, what has resulted in all but nine of Nebraska´s 93 counties being under a federal disaster declaration — has increased dramatically due to one reason only, and it ain´t climate change.

Some of those who gathered at the San Pedro Sula bus station said they can’t support their families with what they can earn in Honduras and are seeking better opportunities. Most boarded buses before dawn that would carry them to towns on the Guatemalan border. Others walked through the rain, some pushing strollers or carrying sleeping children in their arms.

With the wall still in the works, President Trump isn´t sitting idle as 1.5 million illegal migrants prepare to storm the U.S. border this year. He´s moving swiftly to get some kind of handle on the migrant surge by strengthening the U.S.´s loophole-filled system of laws that have made immigrating here illegally more attractive to would-be migrants than following U.S. law. He´s pulling up the drawbridge. OANN reports that Trump´s new package of measures, which should be complete by this summer, may just be the invisible architecture to deter illegal immigration as effectively as a wall.

President Donald Trump congratulated Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu on Wednesday for apparently winning a fifth term. “I’d like to congratulate Bibi Netanyahu. It looks like that race has been won by him,” Trump said. The president acknowledged that his congratulatory message might be early but commented that it looked like Netanyahu was the victor. He also praised the prime minister for continuing to be a great ally with the United States.

Scientists on Wednesday revealed the first image ever made of a black hole, depicting a fiery orange and black ring of gravity-twisted light swirling around the edge of the abyss. Assembling data gathered by eight radio telescopes around the world, astronomers captured a picture of the hot, shadowy lip of a supermassive black hole, the light-sucking monsters of the universe theorized by Einstein more than a century ago and confirmed by observations for decades. It is along this edge that light bends around itself in a cosmic funhouse effect. “We have seen what we thought was unseeable. We have seen

After taking a brief sabbatical from front page controversy, perhaps just to catch her breath, Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., is back and as filled with hate as ever. Not only has the freshman Democrat returned to bashing Jews, a video has come to light of Omar, one of the first two Muslim women elected to Congress, denigrating the 9/11 terrorist attack at the hands of Islamic extremists — an attack that claimed nearly 3,000 lives. Speaking at a Council on American-Islamic Relations fundraiser last month,

Democrats in the House of Representatives canceled a scheduled vote on a two-year budget bill Tuesday as the more moderate members of the party are clashing with the progressive members. HERE’S WHAT YOU’RE MISSING … Many members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus pushed back against the budget bill, saying the bill is too focused on funding for the Pentagon instead of funding for domestic programs, according to Politico. More moderate members in the Blue Dog Coalition also are coming out against the bill, but for different reasons, saying the bill is too expensive.

Georgia Democratic Rep. Lucy McBath was the target of some creative trolling by the Republican Party over her widely disputed claim that she actually lives in Georgia, after receiving and signing for a gift basket the GOP sent to her address -- in Tennessee... The state’s Cobb County Tax Commissioner’s Office ... confirmed last month that McBath didn’t meet the requirements to call her Cobb County home her primary residence for the three tax years leading up to the election, meaning she was a Tennessee resident when she was elected to Congress.

An estimated 500 protesters gathered at the steps of the Sacramento Capitol Building on March 28 to protest explicit sex education, including gender fluidity lessons, being taught in the state’s elementary schools. The protest was organized by the Informed Parents of California (IPCA), which was established following the enactment of the California Healthy Youth Act in January 2016. That legislation was initially called the California Comprehensive Sexual Health and HIV/AIDS Prevention Education Act and was designed to provide “comprehensive sexual health education and HIV prevention education” to California kids in grades seven through 12. “They want to teach our children how to

In the movie Escape From New York, the island of Manhattan was walled off and mined. For its fortieth anniversary, New York City will try to recreate its plot by walling off parts of Manhattan with toll booths. The walls of toll booths to impose congestion pricing on the locals will fulfill the dream of former Mayor Bloomberg whose wildest ideas now seem downright tame to the new Dem radicals. You could try to bypass the toll booths along 61st Street by taking an Uber, but good luck.

Astronomers have captured the first image of a black hole, heralding a revolution in our understanding of the universe’s most enigmatic objects. The picture shows a halo of dust and gas, tracing the outline of a colossal black hole, at the heart of the Messier 87 galaxy, 55m light years from Earth. The black hole itself – a cosmic trapdoor from which neither light nor matter can escape – is unseeable. But the latest observations take astronomers right to its threshold for the first time, illuminating the event horizon beyond which all known physical laws break down. It’s never fun to lose. That’s true if you’ve been bleeding red and black since childhood, suffering through the bad years, and enjoying every second of Texas Tech men’s basketball’s performance in this year’s NCAA tournament. And it’s true even if you just hopped on the bandwagon in the final week of the team’s improbable journey to the national championship game. By Monday, seemingly the entire state was on board—as far from Lubbock as San Antonio, highway signs were adorned with “Go Tech” messages, while in the city itself, scooter companies removed their devices from the streets,

The Big Three networks averaged 35 percent "more liberal" and about 20 percent "no political lean." Count on the

According to holier-than-thou, sanctimonious Progressives and their protester surrogates, President Trump’s a “white nationalist”, a “misogynist”, a “homophobe”, an “Islamophobe,” a “patriarch of privilege”. We can add to the same old, same old tiresome list, and a most convenient how to get elected or reelected ‘FillI-in-the blank” space. Google created an “XPA news blacklist” to suppress “fake news, hate speech [and] conspiracy theories” in its search results, the Daily Caller’s J. Arthur Bloom reported in an exclusive Tuesday. This practice, approved by Google’s Trust & Safety team, contradicts congressional testimony by Google CEO Sundar Pichai, who denied that the company manipulates its search results. At the time, it didn’t occur to me that perhaps he should not have been close enough to me that I could smell him at all. It was Sept. 19, 2014, and I had just introduced then–Vice President Joe Biden at a White House event.

A second onetime aide to Sen. Maggie Hassan is implicated in former IT staffer Jackson Cosko’s massive data-theft scheme that was ultimately used to “intimidate” Republican senators by “doxxing” them during a confirmation hearing for Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, prosecutors said. Samantha G. DeForest-Davis, at the time a staff assistant to Hassan, was the aide who allegedly helped Cosko conduct his scheme, a source with knowledge of the situation told The Daily Caller News Foundation. Court records show a case naming her has been opened, and the source confirmed it relates to her alleged role in the data theft.

The likelihood that Prime Minister Netanyahu will be given the mandate to form the next government in Israel is a remarkable achievement. It ratifies not only his own leadership but also the historic shift to the right in Israel over the past generation. It augurs well for Israel’s relations with America, which has been one of the bright spots in the eras of both Mr. Netanyahu and President Trump. Mr. Netanyahu’s victory — if it holds — is all the more remarkable for the fact that it was achieved while he is facing a likely trial

NEW YORK - A measles outbreak in Brooklyn, primarily among Orthodox Jewish children, prompted New York City on Tuesday to declare a public health emergency, requiring unvaccinated people in the affected areas to get the vaccine or face fines. The city’s largest outbreak since 1991 of the once virtually eradicated disease has mainly been confined to the Orthodox Jewish community in the borough’s Williamsburg neighborhood, with 285 cases confirmed since October, Mayor Bill de Blasio said at a news conference. That’s up sharply from only two reported cases in all of 2017.

If you want to know why the Democrats are frightened of Candace Owens, watch the video of her Tuesday morning testimony before the House Judiciary Committee. For example, early in the proceedings, Owens chastised Chairman Jerrold Nadler for misrepresenting her biography: “You reduced it to one sentence, calling me a conservative activist. It wasn’t what I submitted to your office last night and I think that you opened with anti-black bias.” Having demonstrated that she is no shrinking violet, Owens debunked the ostensible purpose of the hearing — that it was convened to examine white nationalist hate crimes:

Democrats in Congress want to turn back the clock. In 1947, amid a period of labor unrest so extreme that the public had taken notice, Congress passed the Labor-Management Relations Act, better known as the Taft-Hartley Act, over the veto of President Harry S. Truman. The bill was an effort to strike a reasonable balance in labor relations where the decade-old Wagner Act had failed. Among Taft-Hartley´s critical reforms was that it permitted states to adopt what are now known as right-to-work laws. These laws make it illegal for employers to discriminate against nonunion workers. In right-to-work states,

Hillary Clinton spent nearly her entire adult life on a desperate quest for power and money. She stood by as her horny husband achieved both, and longed to escaped his crooked shadow, to step into the spotlight on her own, to make history. Political success was insufficient. Overcome with rage and class envy — at having so much raw power and prestige yet still having to debase herself before the altar of America´s financial elite — she vowed to abandon all shame in her crusade to join their ranks.
