Though they were excruciatingly obnoxious to William Barr at Tuesday´s House Appropriations subcommittee hearing, Democrats would be well-advised to lay off the attorney general, maybe even treat him with kid gloves, because he holds a good deal of the future of their party in his hands. In fact, he is positioned to make that party bleed as perhaps no one in history. And it only makes it worse that he is clearly such a straight shooter. The big story from Barr´s testimony then before the subcommittee was not that the AG plans to release a redacted version of the Mueller report

FTA: Is it an accident Judicial Watch was finally able to uncover "422 pages of FBI documents showing evidence of ´cover-up´ discussions related to the Clinton email system" just the other day? Or does it have something to do with the installation of Barr? I
No, release due to Judicial Watch, which has been having to force the FBI to release material that the FBI Director Wray has been withholding in order to avoid indictments of Comey, McCabe and other officials. Once PDT finds competent replacements for Homeland Security and the Secret Service, he needs to replace Director Wray as FBI head. And until AG Barr actually indicts Obama officials for incredibly obvious crimes, he too is not to be trusted. Better than Sessions is not enough.

No one is fleeing the country. No one is scared. Nothing will happen. The Uniparty has already won. All this is just a show to make us think justice will happen but it won´t.

Tick, tick is right. There is something called the Statute of Limitations. Title 18 United States Code, Section 3182 imposes a 5 year limit on the government’s ability to indict someone for most, if not all, of the offenses that could be relevant to the conduct of the corrupt leadership of DOJ that hatched this plot to fix the investigation of Hillary Clinton Clinton and undermine Trump’s candidacy and/or Administration. Tempus Fugit.

"it was the suborning of justice in our country at the highest level that drove him to volunteer for this onerous task"
IF, IF this is true it will be worse than a nightmare, it will be a nuclear strike against the dems as their sleazy schemes are laid bare and the involvement of BO´s "scandal free" administration are exposed.
We will not know until events unfold. Investigations may indeed be carried out. We have had them in the past. Not much came of them? Will there be transparency? Will names be named? Will big players be held accountable? Will people be fired? Will people be charged with crimes. Will be there be some prison terms?
Will there be justice?

Totally agree with #1, Barr will receive the Kavanaugh treatment and then some.
Go after Hillary first because she doesn´t have much time left and I want to witness the orange pantsuit before she leaves us.

This is the second "ah s**t" moment of this whole debacle for the deep state. The first was when Clinton lost and the entire hoax risked exposure. The second came yesterday when Barr testified that he assembled a team to investigate the the Russia hoax from its beginnings.
Now the deep state will be exposed and, being the rats that they are, they won´t be going down alone. I expect there will be several instances of Arkancide before the smoke clears. Let´s see the left wing media try to keep Hillary and Obama´s name out of this scandal.

I am confident in Barr because I believe it was Joe diGenova who advised Trump to hire him. diGenova says he is the best.
He has done more in two weeks than that runt Sessions did in two years. Sessions is a Benedict Arnold, plus plain stupid.

Really? Barr is the "Elliot Ness" to the Democrat loving Deep State? I´ll believe it when Hillary Clinton is perp marched up the U.S. Federal courthouse steps. Is Barr ready and willing to form
Grand Jurys to present the already well-known evidence of collusion, bribery, money laundering against the Obama Administration goons who tried their coup against our national government? That would be the "Democrats´ worst nightmare". I suspect Barr will do more headline gathering threats and rhetoric than actual prosecutions.

When Carter Page, George Papadopoulos and General Flynn are completely remunerated and those responsible, ALL of those responsible for illegally and criminally destroying their lives are tried AND convicted of their crimes, then the Dems will have a worse nightmare. Until then, my turnip truck wounds healed LONG ago and Barr is merely a fairy tale deep state garden gnome.

The Deep State has always stood by and protected its own. There is nothing here that gives one any confidence that this could change. The best bet is go to the polls, get your friends to do so and vote the bums out. They will never pay anything more than loss of power. Be happy with that if you can achieve it. In today´s toxic atmosphere no one talks politics with friends or family. But, take courage and do it!

I suspect that once this is all laid bare which I think Barr needs to pinch someone in the middle like Ohr his wife Nellie, Stokz, Brennen, Clapper, Comey one of these birds will sing. All roads lead to Clinton and Obama but get the conspirators first. Time will take care of Clinton and Obama, well, Obama just might stay in the tall weeds and keep quiet.
I also think some cannons should be pointed at the British intelligence agency that worked with Clinton´s Fusion GPS racket.

I hope AG Barr is serving out of love for our nation, as founded, and is able to present this mess to the American people in an understandable way. I think more people are going to be receptive to hearing the truth since the Mueller investigation has ended, and as Peter Son-of-Satan Stzrok (whatever) predicted, "there´s no there, there."
I´ve felt a change in atmosphere, even here deep behind blue lines. There seems to be less tension in the air, people are less worried and more relaxed. Its more than just spring on the way. Its the day-to-day reality of the Trump economy and his dedication to the security of our country.

The Dems are walking on thin ice and Nadler and Schiff will be demoralized in the process.
Barr will administrate his position as AG by the book and will not disappoint. This will be his legacy in saving the DOJ and upholding the law.

Given what we all witnessed in the first week of Barr taking on the AG job, I have this feeling that Barr is one of those rare birds in Law. He may have friends in the swamp, but I hope previous posters noticed how fast those democrat friends backed down, and shut down their investigations when Barr quietly let them know he is Trump´s hired gun. Not their´s.
No more impeachment talk, no more Mueller investigation. I am cautiously optimistic that we finally are on the way to what Trump intended all along in his first two years. Pay attention to actions, not just words.
I also think that they will try to smear him, but this is not the old war horse´s first rodeo. Trump knows his legal talent, knows how to hire the best legal minds. He was mentored by Roy Cohn after all, who helped McCarthy fight the commies in our government. Barr, along with Stephen Miller, might just be the junk yard dogs that Trump needs to get a jump start on his programs. The main problem I have is Javanka. How much interference will those two try to create?

Doubtful at first, I now like Barr.
The big story was the affirmative answer he gave to a question about whether he was planning to investigate the provenance of the Russia probe itself. That would, of course, include the FISA court scandal and the Steele dossier, not to mention strange--let´s call them spooky-- occurrences in the UK well before the election. Barr noted he also would look at the eight criminal referrals of DOJ personnel and others coming from Devin Nunes. He further noted we could expect the inspector general´s report on these matters in May or June. He was filled with such news, much of it spontaneously given. Perhaps even John Huber will surface.
In other words, Barr´s obviously been paying attention to the larger situation and that is bad news indeed for Democrats. This is particularly true because the Mueller probe did not come up with any crimes connected to Russia collusion, but even the beginnings of an investigation of what prompted the probe in the first place has already come up with several.
We understandably want action, but first there has to be hard prosecutable evidence. And I believe this is going to cast a wide net. They want to be sure everyone is snared and that the snaring sticks...

If Trump now has a 53% approval record, Barr will have a great deal of public support. You can feel movement happening, and no concern by Barr over the Dems nastiness.

Comey seriously overstepped as a LE official when he went further than the investigation and became judge and jury, clearing Hillary.
Barr has the authority to prosecute. None of the other investigators has that.

The Democrats (and probably some Republicans) as well as the media are likely in a panic over this. The Trump takedown was no rogue operation, and its big enough that it would/should require Obama´s approval. There were so many dishonest interested parties that wanted to be Trump gone that many would be dumb enough to let themselves to get sucked into it.
Wait and see where it goes. Its Washington so its most likely just for show. The only difference is its Trump now pushing it, and he would want to see it through to an conclusion which might include convictions.

I know what should happen. William Barr should bring the dark state players, who tried to overthrow Trump, to justice and send them to prison.
I will not hold my breath until this happens. I do hope the pure nastiness of House Appropriations subcommittee Democrats gives Barr the incentive to do so.

I´m not very astute, so please bear with me: If, as stated in above replies that Barr won´t do anything to bring the deep staters, etc. to justice, then why did President Trump choose him as his Attorney General? Does this mean that Pres. Trump isn´t serious about bringing all involved to justice?

From his comments, I sense that Barr is highly interested in restoring the public sense of integrity in the FBI and the federal intelligence agencies. I don´t think he´s out to indict Hillary or Smidgen.
I would love to see Comey and the assorted dirty cops in the FBI charged, as well as Brennan, Clapper, et al. I´m hopeful that may come to pass. If that Yates gal can be indicted, I´ll be thrilled.

A couple of months ago, after listening for three solid days to smug chortling from professional associates that Trump was going to jail, I finally spoke up. “Trump isn’t going to prison but I’ll tell you who is, Hillary Clinton,” I said.
They laughed and demanded to know where I got my information and insisted it was surely FOX News. “Lucianne.com,” I told them and they scoffed.
Well now I wonder what they and people like them are thinking. Obviously, neither Trump or any of his family will be charged or tried. But worse for the nitwits, the top tier of Obama’s DOJ and other officials likely will go to prison. If true justice prevails, Hillary and Obama will hear prison doors slam behind them.
