In looking at that picture I´d say the Taliban has learned a few things about fake news from our left wing media.
That aircraft looks like it was sitting at the end of a runway, no trail of debris, etc.
Smells like 5 day old goats milk if you ask me.

Where is the USA news media on this? You would think that the media would be reporting this as “bombshell” news if such a crash actually occurred in Afghanistan.
From looking at the photo it really looks like the aircraft crashed short of a runway on an airfield where it clipped the airfield landing lights before impacting the ground. It is doubtful that the entire crew would have been killed in such an incident as the front of the aircraft, the cockpit area is still intact and that’s where most of the crew would have been when the crash occurred.
B-52s operating over Afghanistan fly at high altitudes and the Taliban would not have any capability to shoot down such a high flying bomber that is protected by high-tech defensive measures. Chances are the photograph relates to an incident that occurred long ago someplace other than Afghanistan or is completely fake. Remember this is a report from Iran for whatever that is worth.

The photo in the article is of the B-52 that aborted a takeoff in Guam in 2016.

Epic Fake news FAIL. Not even a good fake. This was not a crash of an airplane that was in flight. and the runway markers are BEHIND the aircraft. It therefore did not ´crash on approach´. Clearly this airplane attempted to abort a takeoff, and could not be stopped on the runway. It stopped on the overrun and then caught fire. Fuselage destroyed, cockpit, wings and empennage largely intact.

Just a glance at the photo, it is obvious that the B-52 ran off the runway at low speed, and then had a fire. Almost certainl an aborted takeoff, but just a touch too late. They almost got it stopped, because it only went a couple hundred feet past the end of the runway. Low speed, not broken up, all pieces in correct positions. The approach light stanchions are broken and damaged, probably ripped open fuel tanks and caused the fire that consumed it.
A LOT can be learned from just looking at the picture, and it does NOT fit at all with the lying Iranians´ story.
Of course, more info is available, but my point is that even without that information, the picture tells a good story all by itself.

Yes, you can go here to see the same basic damage to the bomber - it is the Gaum crash of May, 2016.
