Herman Cain is in deep trouble. And he hasn’t yet even been formally nominated to the Federal Reserve. Senate Republicans are warning the White House that the 2012 presidential candidate will face one of the most difficult confirmation fights of Donald Trump’s presidency and are making a behind-the-scenes play to get the president to back off, two GOP senators said. “There are concerns that are being voiced to the administrations about qualifications,” said Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.), the Republican whip. “They’re probably going to hear from a number of our members about concerns

I´m all out 100% for Herman Cain, because Donkey Face Romney is against him.

Being a previous member of the Fed disqualifies him?

As an America-loving patriot, I would have enjoyed a year or two’s break between McCain and Romney.

Stand strong, Mr. President! I remember another president who stood behind his conservative black Supreme Court nominee and gave us the gift of Clarence Thomas.
Instead of conspiring against Cain’s nomination, the RINOs should be hitting the demonrats with the race card and shouting it to the heavens.

Powerful black conservatives scare the crap out of the left. Narrative destroyed.

Anyone else notice that after he dropped his run for President all the women who accused Mr. Cain of harassment disappeared? Talk about racism. A black conservative runs for President and Gloria Allred leads the charge against him for the dems. But that opens up a different can of worms--considering the AG in wherever that´s being accused of rape and it´s a resume enhancement.
Mitt...Sit down and shut up. You´re a sore loser--nothing more.
Mr. Cain, I trust you can take your place at the Fed because you probably have more expertise in the financial field than the rest of the lot put together!
MAGA!!! KAG!!! Make the Fed responsible again! Mr. President, nominate this man!

We have concerns about the validity of Congress so if Herman Cain is ready for the upcoming barbecue let it begin. The Left needs another good distraction to keep them off target.

Herman Cain is a fine man. He is quite knowledgeable in finance. The rinos would like for Mr. Trump to withdraw Cain´s nomination for this reason: if he were to drop a black man´s from this high position it would only make Trump look bad. The rinos have no love for Trump and this act would come across as a racist one. With that, Trump would surely lose favor with the blacks that are coming over to supporting Trump.
This isn´t about Cain, this is about putting up a roadblock to the re-election of Mr. Trump.
Darn dirty rinos!! and then there are the dems......
This is my opinion only.

This article is Politico at its propagandist worst. FTA:
But more troubling to some in the Senate is that Cain founded pro-Trump group America Fighting Back.
“Do you seriously want a guy on the Fed that has a whole organization, the only purpose of it is to encourage Republicans to do whatever the president says he’d like you to do?” said one Republican senator distressed about the nomination.
Who is this one mewling Republican Senator? Does she (or he) have a name?
Earlier:
While Cain did serve on the Kansas City Federal Reserve Board, Senate Republicans say he now largely appears to be a Trump surrogate.
#7 above is right, it would´ve been nice to have some space between McCain and Romney, but Romney at least uses his name, and doesn´t hide anonymously under the skirts of liberal media darlings like Politico.
And shame on Politico for that sly, by-the-way mention of Cain´s service on the Fed in KC. It´s a part of why I called this article propagandist.
Meanwhile, the personal courage required of black conservatives facing the establishment maw is stunning. The grit and character of people like Candace Owens and Clarence Thomas puts most of us to shame, including the unnamed Republicans above, and should be an inspiration to us all.

When you dig down through the manure, it’s Romney who is objecting:
“I don’t think Herman Cain will be on the Federal Reserve Board, no. I’m reviewing [Moore’s] writings and I’ll make a determination when I have done so,” said Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah), who ran against Cain in the 2012 presidential race and seems confident Cain will either be derailed or not officially nominated.
“I feel that we can’t turn the Federal Reserve into a more partisan entity,” Romney added. “I think that would be the wrong course.”
And on and on. But the truth that comes later is that although Cain endorsed Romney, Mittsky "is not fond of Herman”.
So the fed should be full of people Mitt is fond of?

The Senate has 52 Republican Senators. What is the problem getting the President´s nominee confirmed? It takes 51 votes. The Senate rules have been changed to speed up Trump appointments. (I certainly hope so, as Trump will be finishing his 2nd term without 75% of his appointments confirmed at the present rate). Mr. Thune, you need to go back to your office and examine yourself, and ask yourself why you cannot get the job done, and perhaps consider resigning, as it appears you are not suited to getting the job done, so should find some other line of work.

Thune is a loyal member of McConnell’s “posse”, the group who stand around McConnell at every mic/camera appearance. Presumably leaders. Thune seems very wishywashy.

The harder they push back, the more certain I am that Cain is a great choice.
He has run one of the Federal Reserve regional banks, he is well qualified.
Romney is a jerk. I am more and more pleased that he was never President.
