Former secretary of state John F. Kerry responded in disbelief when a Republican congressman challenged his credentials on climate change, prompting the veteran politician to ask, “This is really happening here?” Kerry, who helped broker the 2015 Paris climate accord that President Trump pulled out of, returned to Capitol Hill on Tuesday to serve as a witness for a House Oversight Committee hearing on the need for leadership to combat climate change. Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), who has two engineering degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, began his line of questioning attempting to undermine Kerry’s authority

How could anyone question Kerry´s credentials on global warming, at least the scamming expertise at which he is a master equal to Al Gore.

JohnF. Kerry, who served in Vietnam, was auditioning for a remake of Dumb & Dumber. Like all liberals who lack facts he brought “good intentions” to the hearing along with his moral superiority. Glad he got worked over. Did he ask the committee if the had a phone number for Jeff Bezos’ ex-wife?

Poor little Colby has no clue as to why Massie was correct and Kerry is a phony blowhard. Little Colby has a degree in ´journalism´ and no education in science. He does know for sure that 98% of all Climate Scientist agree that man-made whatever they are calling today will kill us in 12 years unless we give trillions to the UN and 3rd world countries and destroy capitalism and our economy in the process.

I finally figured it out! The climate change people think they can control the weather if they control the behavior of people.
Just as abortion is denying the sovereignty of Gd, claiming to have the ability to control the climate is also denying the sovereignty of Gd.

Engineers have to be qualified to design and oversee the construction of buildings and systems. Qualifications are based on knowledge and experience (i.e., data put into action over time). If engineers are not qualified, buildings and systems fail. Qualified engineers pursue credentials -- documentation that gives credence to the claim that the engineer really knows what he/she is doing.
Representative Massie is asking a reasonable question. What makes Kerry qualified to speak on so-called climate change? Is Kerry a scientist? What research has Kerry done? Or is Kerry stepping out in faith on climate change?
One could ask the same question of Al Gore -- the guy who flunked out of seminary!

If the lower 48 of the United States were to suffer a cataclysm equal to the destruction of the continent of Atlantis...if the continental United States were to disappear beneath the waves, from Maine to San Diego...the effect upon the amount of hydrocarbons and particulate matter polluting the atmosphere would be statistically inconsequential. Russia, China, Europe, The Middle East dump almost all the pollutants. And none of them is prepared to give a damn about it. All John Kerry can do is LIE. And then lie some more. It´s what the Democrats do. It´s ALL they do.

John Kerry (B.A. Political "Science") and Al Gore (B.A. Journalism) are not scientists and don´t know squat about climate science, computer modeling, or meteorology. Why anyone should listen to them is beyond me.

Good job by Congressman Massie. Kerry responded like the pompous blowhard he is. And it all went over the WaPoo writer´s head.
The exchange reminds me of a Robert Heinlein guote:
Never attempt to teach a pig to sing - it wastes your time and annoys the pig.
This is usually true. Here the pig (Kerry) was annoyed, but this particular discussion was NOT a waste of time, since it might open some readers´ eyes, even if the dopey reporter missed it all.

Actually, #7, he has shown some skills turning tiny scratches into Purple Heart awards....but of course, he had to file his own paperwork as nobody else took his bandaid "wounds" seriously.
Kerry is a liar, and a fool. No kind of expert on any science.

AOC´s "leadership" re: the Green New Deal is akin to her being the first Lemming over the cliff.
Kerry doesn´t like being told that he´s a blazing idiot, which he knows is true. Where is Thereza these days? Sitting by the grave of her ate husband asking, "What have I done?"

Massie is exactly right. There is zero science in a political science degree.
I had never heard of it when I first went to college. One guy in a dorm room on our floor was a real screw-off party guy, and was majoring in Political Science, literally the first time I had heard the term. I was baffled, knowing that politics has as much to do with science as as turnips do to opera. I asked him about it, and he laughed and admitted,"It´s all BS, easy stuff, that´s why I am taking it!" with a huge grin.
I lost track of Chuck after that year, didn´t see him again until about 2007, at the Sun-N-Fun Fly-In in Lakeland, Fla. I went to buy some sunglasses at a little trailer business which sold sunglasses. Behind the counter was old Chuck, recognized his booming voice and ugly mug right away, well over 40 years later. I asked if it was him, and he recognized me, seemed embarrassed and I let it go with a "Good to see you, man!" After buying some $10 sunglasses.
That is where a lot of Poli-Sci majors wind up, or similar jobs. Like selling MMGW snake oil.

Thank you, #8. Your post is the reason why I have commented here before that, if this pope believes in global warming/climate change caused by man, then he doesn’t have much faith in God. Which easily explains the rest of his actions.
