Obama’s Hijacking of ‘Juneteenth’

Obama, whose roots are African rather than African-American, rose to power by hijacking the racial resentments and guilty left behind in America after a history of slave and segregation he was never part of. Now, the one trick pony is at it again, announcing the opening of the grim fortress of a museum in Chicago, on ‘Juneteenth’, trying to link his time in the White House as a notable event for black people up there with the end of slavery. This is a nothibgburger hikuday, "On September 22, 1862, President Abraham Lincoln announced that the Emancipation Proclamation would go into effect on January 1, 1863, promising freedom to enslaved people in all of the rebellious parts of Southern states of the Confederacy including Texas.[31][32][c][d] Enforcement of the Proclamation generally relied upon the advance of Union troops. Texas, as the most remote state of the former Confederacy, had seen an expansion of slavery because the presence of Union troops was low as the American Civil War ended; thus, the enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation had been slow and inconsistent there prior to Granger's order.[9] In all June 19, 1865, was 900 days after the Emancipation Proclamation went into effect, 71 days after Robert E. Lee surrendered to the Union on April 9, 1865, and 24 days after the disbanding of the Confederate military department covering Texas on May 26, 1865" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juneteenth Slavery was long over. It just took a while for word to get to Texas. Joe's autopen made ir a natrional holiday in 2021. Obama was probably steering it.

Obongo sure did transform this country. It will take another generation or two to recover from the damage he did. And Juneteenth is a stupid and divisive idea. Yet we are told we are intolerant if we disagree. So be it!

As far as Juneteenth goes, no history has been hi-jacked since this made up holiday is just one more obnoxious relic of the Democrat Party riots of 2020. Scorn should be heaped upon the spineless Republicans who voted to enact this pseudo holiday.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is pulling back the curtain on a 22,000 square-foot replica town on its Huntsville, Alabama campus that it built to train law enforcement in simulating and investigating real-world cyberattacks. The aim is to teach investigators in a secure environment beyond the classroom by getting hands-on with some of the latest consumer and enterprise technologies, many of which are frequently targeted by malicious hackers. The numbers put the training into context. The FBI’s 2025 Internet Crime Report, drawing on more than one million complaints, logged a record $20.9 billion in U.S. cybercrime losses, a 26% jump over the prior year, with ransomware ranked

Democratic Utah congressional candidate Liban Mohamed has mobilized a nationwide community of Somali-American supporters to drive donations for his campaign to represent Salt Lake City. Donors with names originating from Somalia or East Africa account for around 85% of Mohamed’s unique donors, and roughly the same share of his total donations, according to FEC filings for April and May. An identical percentage of his donors are from out of state, as the 27-year-old son of Somali immigrants has toured the country, seeking donations from areas with large Somali-American populations. In late May, he attended a fundraising event for Somali-Americans in Minneapolis with progressive Minnesota Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar, who endorsed him in April.

U.S. House Republicans passed their No Aid for Ghost Students Act of 2026 on June 10, marking the end of a 3-month effort to pass the bill through the House of Representatives. The bill, originally introduced to the floor by Congressman Burgess Owens of Utah in March 2026, seeks to crack down on criminals who pocket financial aid. These criminals — “ghost students” — are thieves who impersonate higher education students to enroll in courses and receive federal financial aid that they can steal. The problem has grown since 2019, prompted by an increase in online courses being offered. The No Aid for Ghost Students Act would require

A mock-up for a new memorial on the National Mall drew criticism from Republicans and veterans after it was revealed by the Global War on Terrorism Memorial Foundation on Thursday. Sen. Jim Banks (R-IN), who served in Afghanistan, called the proposal a disgrace. “Thousands of heroic Americans sacrificed everything in service to our nation during the Global War on Terror,” Banks said. “These were real people with real stories. They deserve to be honored with dignity, not disconnected abstract art.” The memorial honors the fallen service members who served in the global war on terrorism. Standing in the National Mall, the memorial is positioned to align directly with

It's certainly not what the Founding Fathers intended. Now, one House member may have the answer to this dilemma. Republican Rep. President Barack Hussein Obama wanted a monument in Chicago, and Chicago gave him parkland, patience, tax breaks, years of disruption, and now a tower that looks less like civic memory than self-regard poured into granite. The Obama Presidential Center opens to the public June 19 in Jackson Park, a historic South Side park once shaped by Frederick Law Olmsted's vision. The Obama Foundation calls it an “awe-inspiring 19-acre campus.” Many Chicagoans can look at the same structure and see something colder. The building matches the man's politics. Obama, the 44th president, sold hope in polished speeches while leaving the country more divided than he found it. My criticism of Obama has

Leaving it in place only ensures that it will dig its hooks in even deeper -- especially after President Donald J.
