Protest at Stanford University graduation
as Google CEO Sundar Pichai takes the stage

A group of graduates walked out of Stanford University’s commencement ceremony Sunday moments after Google CEO Sundar Pichai began delivering his keynote address. Videos circulating on social media showed more than 100 students leaving their seats at Stanford Stadium while chanting, “Free, free Palestine.” The protest was organized by far-left groups including Students for Justice in Palestine and No Tech for Apartheid. They have previously posted images mourning the death of influencers in Gaza who have openly celebrated the Oct. 7 attack on Israel.

Comments:

A stupid gesture by immature children who someday might wonder why they ditched one of the most important ceremonies in their lives.

While diplomas have been earned, I'd post pics online of the behavior with names attached. Employers might think twice about hiring problem children and loans won't be repaid working at McDonalds.

We shouldn't forget the key censorship and propaganda roles Google played during the Biden administration. The reasons for this particular protest are despicable, but that doesn't make Google any less despicable.

These alums are destroying the reputations of elite institutions. Many businesses are shunning them because they bring their social issues with them into the work environment. Not only that, most won't have a high enough income to pay back their loans nor donate to their alma mater.

Probably none of them would have graduated without using Google to look up the answers to the questions in their college courses. They should have been giving Pichai a 'standing O'.

For years, Denver was one of America's great success stories. Drawn by its snow-capped mountain backdrop, thriving economy and coveted outdoor lifestyle, thousands of Americans flocked to Colorado's capital during and after the pandemic. Home prices surged, cranes filled the skyline and developers raced to keep up with demand. Today, the picture looks dramatically different. Downtown office towers sit eerily empty. Storefronts remain vacant.

A Texas man was sentenced to 40 years in prison for executing a mechanic over a $500 repair bill before he warned his victim’s family that he would “be out someday.” Raudel Orozco, 25, unleashed his chilling outburst on Tuesday when he learned his fate in the 2022 killing of Luis Manuel Casillas, a father of two who was shot in the head outside his north Houston auto shop days before Christmas, WFAA reported. Orozco had pleaded guilty to felony murder while his brother Rolando has also been charged with murder and is scheduled to appear in court May 26 for a pre-trial conference.

DENVER (KDVR) — An attempt to save Denver’s only lesbian bar has failed only days after the community raised more than $80,000 in donations to keep it open as infighting among owners and staff led to the business’s immediate dissolution. The Pearl, one of just a few dozen lesbian bars in the U.S., on Saturday announced it would close at the end of the month after falling behind on paying staff and performers as well as building costs to maintain its location in the historic Mercury Cafe. The Pearl had only been open for a year and had more than a couple past problems during its existence.

BOSTON — In the summer of 2020, after the death of George Floyd and the protests that followed, the far left decided cops were the problem. Their theory? Armed officers escalate mental health crises. Send social workers and clinicians instead, and people would stop getting hurt. On Saturday in Boston, one of those clinicians was attacked with a sword. The clinician was knocked to the ground inside an apartment building on Hemenway Street, steps from Northeastern University's campus. A police officer was stabbed in the arm.

Say what you want about Democrats, but they sure know how to stick to their talking points. When the IPO for SpaceX made Elon Musk the world’s first trillionaire, Democrats were primed. Almost in unison, they cried about how “Americans are struggling to pay for groceries and gas,” how the economy “is rigged,” and how the rich “don’t pay their fair share of taxes.” It’s all out of the politics-of-envy handbook. But the latter claim is particularly galling, especially when it’s being made by lawmakers who know better. Ohio Democratic Rep. Greg Landsman, for example, penned an op-ed complaining about how
