Spencer Pratt has done it again. Everyone not living under a rock the last few months knows the onetime reality star turned politics on its head with his spirited insurgent Republican candidacy in the Los Angeles mayoral “jungle” primary. The outside-the-envelope element of his effort: the gloriously gobsmacking, galvanizing use of crazily creative and enormously entertaining social media ads — both by Pratt’s team and independent influencers. The vignettes leveraged artificial intelligence and Hollywood-level production values to lay bare the devastation and decline delivered by decades of Democratic depravity

ICYMI: The Dems’ Anti-ICE Campaign Was
An Epic Fail

Democrats put everything they had in their effort to shut down President Donald Trump’s border control plans. And what exactly have they achieved for their often-infantile antics? Well, let’s see. This week, the House passed a bill that funds ICE for three years. Deportations are near all-time highs. Oh, and it looks like Trump’s border wall will be completed next year. On Tuesday, the House passed a “budget reconciliation” bill that provides enough money ($38 billion) to fund ICE for the rest of Trump’s term, plus $28 billion for the Border Patrol, and another $5 billion for border security technology and screening.

Despite his attempts to jettison Joe Biden’s EV mandates, President Donald Trump might have inadvertently set the stage for one of his own. Welcome to the upside-down world of federal government fuel economy standards. Amid the government-created “energy crisis,” a Democratic Congress passed, and President Gerald Ford foolishly signed, a law in 1975 that dictated the average fuel economy automakers must reach for the passenger cars they sell in a given year. Failure to meet that standard meant paying huge fines. The energy crisis is long gone, but the federal “Corporate Average Fuel Economy” (CAFE)

Do you know who Willis Havilland Carrier is? No? Maybe you should. He’s the engineer who, way back in 1902, invented what we now call air conditioning. His invention has been cooling American houses and businesses ever since. But it’s also done something even more important: Saved hundreds of thousands of lives. Think that’s hyperbole? It isn’t. As America prepares for yet another long, hot summer, most of us will stay indoors to work and relax. Why? When the torrid weather arrives, we simply turn on our air conditioning and immediately feel cool air filling our rooms and making us comfortable. But comfort is a bonus to AC’s real impact: saving lives.

Earlier this year, there was a frenzy about the Reflecting Pool between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument. President Donald Trump wanted to clean up what was mostly a fetid swamp, and decided to paint the bottom of the pool a royal blue, in part to help seal cracks but also because, why not? “Critics” went beserk, saying, as CNN reported, that “the Reflecting Pool will look more like a swimming pool, with the shine of a country club, like the president’s Mar-a-Lago club in Florida … — and that the pool will actually be less reflective.” “It’s not supposed to look like you’re going to dive in

Once upon a time, Americans truly understood the meaning of wartime sacrifice. World War II rationing – not simply price hikes, but actual deprivation of goods – encompassed basic foods such as meats, butter, cheese, coffee, sugar, and canned, bottled, and frozen fruits and vegetables. Purchase-restricted necessities included clothing and shoes, metal goods and tires (hence scrap and rubber drives), and yes, gasoline. Such selflessness was universally accepted as the price of ridding the world of the evil and disruptive influences of fascism and militarism as represented by the Third Reich and Tojo’s Japan. Today?

A majority of Americans see Iran as a serious threat to the Mideast and are deeply concerned about its nuclear ambitions, but also don’t trust Iran’s ruling Islamist regime to abide by any nuclear agreements it might sign, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows. As the U.S.-Iran conflict continues to unfold amid ongoing talks and threats of further possible military action, the national online I&I/TIPP Poll asked 1,589 voters several questions about Iran. The survey, taken from May 26 to May 28, has a margin of error of +/- 2.7 percentage points. The first question: “How much of a threat do you believe Iran poses to stability in the

Another media global warming team has been terminated, this time the National Public Radio climate desk. This is what happens when “journalists” keep reporting about a dead horse. Eventually, the public realizes the horse has perished, and there’s nothing left to talk about. Or that there was no horse to begin with. NPR is the third media outlet to rein in its diehard band of Democratic Party scribes dedicated to exaggerating climate fears, following the Washington Post and CBS News. The former was sawed roughly in half while the latter was, to our grand delight, “gutted.”

President Donald Trump has been having a field day with the agonizingly slow vote count in California’s primary. “The Dumocrats are at it again!” he posted Thursday on Truth Social. “They are trying to STEAL THE GOVERNOR OF CALIFORNIA PRIMARY, AND THE MAYOR OF LOS ANGELES, PRIMARY, AWAY FROM TWO GREAT REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES.” Which, of course, set off a frenzy of “Trump lies” responses from Democrats and the press. But even if Trump is wrong about fraud, he’s right to complain about this laughably inept process.

Last week, we wrote about how euthanasia has become one of the most popular and easily accessible healthcare “treatments” available in Canada’s socialized medical care system, thanks to the country’s embrace of medically assisted suicide. We noted that, “From a government bean counter’s perspective, the more suicides the better.” (See “Canada Shows The Gruesome Side Of Socialized Healthcare.”) This week, we came across a study published in the OMEGA — Journal of Death and Dying that “explores the potential economic savings from expanding medical assistance in dying (MAID) in Canada.”

It’s “expected to officially run out of money in mid-August.” The best part is “the United States is a big reason why.” “The United States owes roughly $2 billion to the organization’s regular budget on top of another $2.2 billion for peacekeeping

This isn’t normally the time when voters are asked whether they are better off than they were four years ago. That’s the question that tends to come around in presidential election years. But as the midterms approach, it’s what everyone should ask themselves as they decide who controls Congress for the next two years. Because the answer is obvious. Let’s turn the dial back to June 2022. Joe Biden had been occupying the White House for a year and a half. Democrats controlled Congress, handing him his $2 trillion “Build Back Better” spending extravaganza. The economy had more than recovered the ground

Sunday on “This Week,” former President Barack Obama said the United States could not bully or bomb its way to a solution when asked about the Trump administration’s actions in Iran. Reporter Robin Roberts asked, “You spent a lot of time wrestling with the threat of a nuclear Iran. How do you think things are being handled right now there?” Obama said, “It is doubtful that any agreement that arises is going to be significantly different or a significant improvement from the deal that we had in the first place. And had worked for, for a long stretch of time, before we, the United States, pulled out of it.

President Barack Hussein Obama wanted a monument in Chicago, and Chicago gave him parkland, patience, tax breaks, years of disruption, and now a tower that looks less like civic memory than self-regard poured into granite. The Obama Presidential Center opens to the public June 19 in Jackson Park, a historic South Side park once shaped by Frederick Law Olmsted's vision. The Obama Foundation calls it an “awe-inspiring 19-acre campus.” Many Chicagoans can look at the same structure and see something colder. The building matches the man's politics. Obama, the 44th president, sold hope in polished speeches while leaving the country more divided than he found it. My criticism of Obama has

The 84-year-old former Senate GOP leader has long suffered from a string of health-related issues even as he has continued to ask sharp questions during committee hearings as he serves out the remainder of his seventh term. The Kentucky Republican was previously hospitalized in February with flu-like symptoms.

Concern is mounting that taxpayers could be left holding the bag if the Obama Presidential Center runs into financial trouble, as the foundation behind it has yet to establish a promised $470 million safety net to guard against a public bailout. Under its agreement with the city, the Obama Foundation pledged to create the fund, known as an endowment, as part

Obama, whose roots are African rather than African-American, rose to power by hijacking the racial resentments and guilty left behind in America after a history of slave and segregation he was never part of. Now, the one trick pony is at it again, announcing the opening of the grim fortress of a museum in Chicago, on ‘Juneteenth’, trying to link his time in the White House as a notable event for black people up there with the end of slavery. It’s another cynical and despicable hijacking of American history to serve his own vanity and ego. The reality, as most black people will admit, is that

Former Interior Secretary Deb Haaland last week won New Mexico’s gubernatorial primary, with a 2-to-1 lead over her opponent. She’ll be up against Republican nominee Gregg Hull in November’s general election. A lot could happen between now and then. But considering the state's political history, there's a good chance Haaland could get elected governor. On the American energy scene, New Mexico is the second-largest producer behind Texas, pumping out 2 million barrels of oil per day. Two counties in south-east New Mexico account for 78% of all onshore federal oil production, according to the American Petroleum Institute. The Land of Enchantment is a key player in the American energy landscape.
