Reparations advocates spoke at Kennedy King College in Chicago, Illinois on Tuesday, arguing the "moral" responsibility of the federal government to compensate Black Americans for slavery. One of the attendees was waiting for the event to begin in the hallway with dozens of students outside the college theater auditorium. Grace, a student at Kennedy King College, told Fox News Digital that she was eager to see her professor, Dr. Daniel Davis. "I'm studying African American 101 with Professor Dr. Davis," Grace said. As soon as the "advocates" that want money for nothing can resurrect all the Union soldiers that were killed while trying to eliminate slavery, then I'll be for reparations. Besides that, my ancestors didn't even enter the US until the 1890s. Stop wasting print on stupid stories like this.

Considering it was Democrats that were the slave owners, only Democrats should pay reparations. Let's see how many Democrats change party affiliation if that ever becomes law. Oh, and today's American blacks (purposefully not capitalized) are much better off than their black African cousins. One more thing, other African blacks sold their captives to the slave traders (British were also slave traders, Amazing Grace was written by a British slave trader).

Looking at the photos, it is obvious to me that the persons pictured are mixed race. Are they going to pay reparations, on behalf of their slave-owning ancestors, to themselves as descendants of slaves? The decades of supporting blacks on welfare have been more than enough "reparations".

What is the value of the lives given freely to end slavery, and what is the liability of Americans for the slavery no one is trying to do anything about, in Africa? Do these reparations advocates have any consciousness of other slavery besides what involved them and which they hope to sue for? Any awareness of what was done to save them, by people who didn't have to, and as proof of that consider the fact that these reparations advocates aren't doing anything about slavery in Africa that continues? People do not have to die to set others free. Those enslaved cannot in actual fact free themselves, and didn't. It was an ocean of blood.

I agree. Find all the remaining living freed slaves. Find all the remaining living former slave owners. Let the former slaves petition the former owners, and then the courts can settle it. Until then? Sit down and shut up. Nobody owes you anything, at all, for any reason.

I thought we fought a war that ended slavery over 150 years ago. The youngest person who was born into slavery would be 161 years old. By all means give reparations to any former slave over 161 years old. Any slaves under 161 years old should be paid by their enslavers in the Democrat party.

These people are still slaves to their own delusions of their importance and impact on the overall growth of the nation. They have their own imaginary facts and figures. It is their truth. Nothing will ever convince them otherwise because they want their slavery myths and made up black history to be true. What about all the mixed race couples? Does the white partner owe the black partner? What about the honest, hard-tax-paying working blacks who will also have to pay. And when do we get repaid for all the welfare and extra crime per capita that blacks commit. Prison costs? Court costs? Do I have to pay Tiger Woods or other millionaire blacks? The federal government never owned slaves. Federal soldiers died and some had fewer arms & legs to stop slavery. The federal government owes nothing to today's ingrates who may or may not have descended in part from the unfortunates of 150 years ago. :Let the real victims speak for themselves. No one alive can claim to speak for them. Move along, people. Or else some people will once again will be hobbling around missing a leg or an arm. . .

The U.S. Embassy in London issued a security alert on May 1, 2026, urging American citizens in the United Kingdom to remain vigilant after the UK government raised its national terrorism threat level to “SEVERE.” The alert follows the April 29 stabbing attack in Golders Green, a north London area with a large Jewish population, which authorities declared a terrorist incident. The threat elevation signals that a terrorist attack is now considered highly likely, per Counter Terrorism Policing. On April 30, the UK’s Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre raised the national threat level from “substantial” to “SEVERE.” Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood confirmed the change,

A senior Iranian military official warned Saturday that a “renewed conflict” with the United States is “likely” after President Donald Trump said he is “not satisfied” with Tehran’s latest proposal and signaled military options remain on the table, saying he “can’t imagine” the offer would be acceptable given Iran has “not yet paid a big enough price” for its actions over the past 47 years. She was rushed to the hospital and later died of her injuries. Cops later received reports of two more victims who had managed to walk into a nearby hospital for treatment. All four victims are believed to have been shot at the same property, a short-term rental where a post-prom party was being thrown.

In a 2023 video, former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg was seen bragging about how the Department of Transportation (DOT) was getting involved in opposing a merger between Spirit Airlines and JetBlue Airlines. In a video from an interview in 2023 with CNN, posted to X, Buttigieg expressed that it was “important to make sure that passengers have choices” and that they “have access to low fares.” “Our department, the Department of Transportation has generally not gotten involved in these merger cases, but that’s changing today,” Buttigieg said at the time. “It is so important to make sure that passengers have choices,
