Washington — Maine Gov. Janet Mills announced Thursday that she is suspending her campaign for Senate, all but ensuring Graham Platner will get the Democratic nomination to take on incumbent GOP Sen. Susan Collins of Maine in one of November's most important Senate races. (Snip) Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer had recruited Mills, the only Democrat to have won statewide in Maine in 25 years, to challenge Collins. How pathetic. She quits weeks before the vote ceding the race to a truly radical candidate. If you liked the Soviet Bloc you'll love the new Democrat party.

FTA: and said he had unknowingly gotten the tattoo while stationed in Europe, and later covered it up..................... Well, Graham Platner is certainly qualified for the job. He has no problem lying at the drop of the hat.

Not much difference between a Democrat radical and Collins who voted with Democrats. Just the numbers game in the S and who will be the minority party although with Senator Thune leading that isn't much different either. Trump will just have to get out his veto pen.

Hey, but he apologized for his remarks about women (without mentioning what those comments were) and he had no idea it was a tattoo that "resembled a Nazi insignia" (more like his tattoo IS a Nazi insignia). Nice job CBS, you paint him like a candidate we should all support when he is a self admitted commie (oh, you did not mention that)..

Apparently Senator Van Hollen (D-MD) defended the tattoo and some of Platner's offensive comments by saying that Platner blamed it on his PTSD from "serving his country." Yeah... right...

Former Rep. Barney Frank, a liberal icon who was a key architect of the landmark Wall Street regulations Democrats enacted in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis, has entered hospice care at his home in Maine. And as one of his last acts, he is preparing to release a book repudiating his party’s left flank. A champion of liberal causes during his 32 years representing Massachusetts in the House, Frank says progressive Democrats have “embraced an agenda that goes beyond what’s politically acceptable.” “Until we separate ourselves from that agenda, we don’t win,” he said in an interview Tuesday.

A flood of misinformation, conspiracy theories and false claims about the shooting at Saturday night’s White House Correspondents' Association dinner spread online at a notable and concerningly speedy rate, mostly about the baseless theory that the incident had been staged. (Snip) This time, it was less than two or three hours. The response highlights how conspiracy theories and a knee-jerk skepticism of current events have become the default response for a growing number of Americans, deepened by the loss of trust in institutions and supercharged by starkly partisan politics. “I would have been surprised if they hadn’t developed because we’re

WASHINGTON — First lady Melania Trump savagely criticized ABC late-night host Jimmy Kimmel as a “coward” Monday after he referred to her as “an expectant widow” two days before Saturday’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting. “Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family isn’t comedy- his words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America,” Trump, 56, wrote in a post on X. The comic is facing severe backlash after the attack on the gala dinner, in which a Secret Service agent suffered minor injuries after a gunman charged a checkpoint

It’s time for Congress to finish the job and enact a nationwide prohibition.” Marriage between close family members is legal, with few or no restrictions, in 18 states and the District of Columbia. Self argues that blood‑related marriages are common in certain ethnic and cultural groups, with rates reaching

Do you ever wonder why so many Blue states refuse to hand over their voter rolls to the federal government? After all, there is a federal law that requires certain measures to ensure ballot integrity, passed in the wake of the 2000 Florida debacle. It requires, among other things, that states clean their voter rolls of ineligible voters. But these states refuse to do that, and they refuse to show that they aren't breaking federal law. Of course, every sentient person knows exactly why they do both of those things: they cheat, and want to make it as hard as possible to detect the cheating, and almost impossible to audit elections

For decades, the mental health industry and its allies in media, government, and education have operated on a simple assumption: the more mental health awareness we spread, through campaigns, school programs, social media, and public service announcements, the better. Raise awareness, reduce stigma, encourage help-seeking, and mental health will surely improve. New evidence shows the opposite is happening. Well-intentioned awareness efforts are actively backfiring, manufacturing distress, inflating diagnoses, and turning normal human emotions into chronic “disorders.” The shocking result is that these campaigns are turning mentally fit people into self-diagnosed mentally ill patients, with symptoms effectively “contracted” from the awareness messages themselves.
