Democratic voters in Utah’s 1st Congressional District will still have a long ballot come June. Four candidates are headed to the primary after party delegates chose their picks on Saturday. It took five rounds of voting for Liban Mohamed to eke out a majority. He managed to secure 51.5% of the delegate vote at Jordan High School in Sandy. “A majority of Democrats in Utah have made their decision, and their decision is that it's our time to lead,” Mohammed said after results were announced shortly before 8 p.m. “It's progressives’ time to lead. Galatians 1:8 reads "But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse!" Who preached a different gospel to Muhammad? An angel (supposedly Gabriel). Who preached a different gospel to Joseph Smith? An angel (aptly named Moron i). So why wouldn't Mormons feel kinship to Muslims?

Calm yourselves, people. Your ignorance is on prominent display. Saturday’s vote (by/for Democraps) is largely meaningless. Mohamed will still be just one of four candidates facing off in the Democrap primary in June. And then the winner still has to win again in November. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has banned polygamy since the 19th Century. And thank goodness the evil practice was never authorized by God in biblical times! /s

Post away. I was simply surprised by the dramatic responses to a genuine head-scatcher of a must read. If I understood correctly, we’re doomed, because Utah hopped on the Islamic bandwagon to Hell, because of an affinity to Joseph & Mary, er, I mean Muslims, leading inevitably to burqa-clad women for being imbecilic enough to elect one to a position of influence. I thought, perhaps, that it meant that they didn’t know that the said Muslim took several rounds of ranked-choice ballots to ultimately become one of four candidates to compete in the Democrat primary. My bracket doesn’t have him winning in June OR November.

A flood of misinformation, conspiracy theories and false claims about the shooting at Saturday night’s White House Correspondents' Association dinner spread online at a notable and concerningly speedy rate, mostly about the baseless theory that the incident had been staged. (Snip) This time, it was less than two or three hours. The response highlights how conspiracy theories and a knee-jerk skepticism of current events have become the default response for a growing number of Americans, deepened by the loss of trust in institutions and supercharged by starkly partisan politics. “I would have been surprised if they hadn’t developed because we’re

A fast-moving burglary spree is unfolding across Los Angeles, with thieves targeting some of the city’s most affluent neighborhoods and striking multiple communities over the past week — even as police flood the area with patrols. Virginia’s redistricting referendum, which could net Democrats a 10-1 House seat advantage, is spurring Republican legislation that would expand the borders of Washington, D.C., and cost the state Democratic voters. During a press conference held shortly after an armed gunman ran through a security barrier at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner with the obvious intention of shooting President Trump and other members of his administration, Fox News reporter Peter Doocy asked this question: “Respectfully, why do you think this keeps happening to you?” Trump answered, “The people who do the most, the people who have the biggest impact, they’re the ones that they go after.” And by “they,” Trump meant Democrats. He has, for obvious reasons, studied presidential assassinations and knows that all but one of the victims were Republicans.
