“How about offering an award for being an illegal immigrant? No sane country would do that.” That is not a quote from President Donald Trump or Justice Sam Alito; it is a quote from the late Democrat icon Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nevada) back in 1993. Some of the same Democrats aggressively defending the modern warped definition of birthright citizenship were opposed to it a few decades ago, before it became Democrat Party dogma that cheap labor and illicit votes were more important than anything else, and that illegal immigration was therefore sacred. Leaving aside all of the many reasons to criticize Harry Reid’s career, he laid out the case against

The Trump Administration has requested $152 million in its fiscal year 2027 federal budget proposal to refurbish and reopen Alcatraz as a prison.
President Donald Trump first broached the idea of reopening the prison on Alcatraz Island in the San Francisco Bay in May 2025, but with the administration’s release of its budget proposal to Congress he is looking to put his plan in motion.
Alcatraz was closed in 1963 after 30 years as an active prison that has become famous for its former inmates and stories of attempted escapes, but has long been a popular tourist attraction that sees more than one million people per year visit the island,

Steve Friess, whose late father bankrolled some of the biggest names in conservative politics, jumped into the Republican primary for Wyoming’s lone U.S. House seat.
The 59-year-old Teton County resident told Cowboy State Daily that his conservative roots run deep. He said he was instrumental in generating the initial $1 million raised by Tea Party Patriots during the early 2000s and played a key role getting Turning Point USA off the ground alongside Charlie Kirk. Friess holds degrees from the University of Virginia and the University of Southern California and has spent his career in the investment world, according to the outlet. His father, Foster Friess,

Democrat officials from 23 states and the District of Columbia announced Friday they’re suing to block President Donald Trump’s recent executive order regulating mail-in and absentee ballots.
The suit was slated to be filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. A copy of the lawsuit wasn’t available as of press time.
Trump doesn’t have the constitutional authority to control elections, California Attorney General Rob Bonta told reporters during a news conference Friday morning. Bonta, a Democrat who’s co-leading the coalition of plaintiffs, noted the authority rests with states and Congress, not the federal executive branch. “The framers of our Constitution made sure that how we

A New Jersey Township is being sued by the Department of Justice over a law that bans new natural gas hook-ups, with prosecutors claiming the town is "illegally" interfering with the federal government's energy policies.
The lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in New Jersey, alleges that Morris Township’s natural gas ban "denies consumers reliable, resilient, and affordable energy, as well as the use of commonplace gas appliances for cooking, heating, and other household needs" and "weakens our nation’s energy dominance."
"The Township’s gas ban is not only bad policy, it is also unlawful."

The parents of the suspects connected to the foiled explosive attack outside MacDill Air Force Base in Florida last month are illegal immigrants, the Department of Homeland Security announced, adding that the case underscores the dangers of birthright citizenship.
ICE agents took the parents, identified as Qiu Qin Zou and Jia Zhang Zheng, into custody on March 18, days after their son, Alen Zheng, allegedly planted an explosive device outside the base.
Officials said the parents illegally entered the United States and applied for asylum in 1993, but an immigration judge denied those claims and ordered both Zheng and Zou removed from the US in 1998.

Drivers 75 years old and over would face testing to keep on driving under a bill proposed in the Michigan Senate.
The proposal from Democratic state Sen. Rosemary Bayer means that, if passed, every four years a driver of 75 would need to pass a vision exam, a written driving rules test, and a driving skills test to get a license or renew one, according to Click on Detroit.
At the age of 85, those requirements kick in annually. Many seniors did not like the concept.

She’s got Seoul!
South Koreans have found an obsession other than K-Pop — White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.
Koreans are learning English by studying Leavitt’s daily briefings, thanks to a wildly popular YouTube channel that slices up her appearances into free bite-sized English lessons — translating her expressions and colloquialisms into their native tongue.
What drew hundreds of thousands of fans after last year’s launch was her phrasing –delivered with a smile or occasional scowl — and the methodical pace she keeps while delivering President Trump’s messages for a TV audience, say fans.

In a development raising red flags across the Atlantic, Britain’s Labour government has appointed the UK’s first “anti-Muslim hostility tsar” and adopted a new definition of anti-Muslim hostility — reframed from “Islamophobia” — as part of its £4 million social cohesion strategy.
The definition describes such hostility as “a type of racism” targeting “expressions of Muslimness or perceived Muslimness,” including prejudicial stereotyping that could incite hatred.
Officials claim it addresses record-high anti-Muslim hate crimes while protecting free speech. Critics, however, see it as a potential censorship tool that could limit scrutiny of Islamic extremism, grooming gangs, or integration challenges.

Attorneys in Colorado are claiming that the state's court e-file system is requiring them to certify they won’t share personal information to assist ICE or federal immigration enforcement. Multiple attorneys on X reported an electronic notification citing the Protect Civil Rights Immigration Status Act, a state law passed in 2025 that prohibits collection or disclosure of information pertaining to immigration status in health care, education and government.
Covenant Law founder Ian Speir posted screenshots of an alleged electronic form that he was required to accept to access Colorado’s court filing system. The page in question is not public-facing and appeared to be only accessible by attorneys registered in Colorado,

President Donald Trump on Friday proposed to begin privatizing airport security operations handled by the Transportation Security Administration, in an effort to save money.
The White House budget proposes cutting funding for the federal agency created after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks by $52 million and would require small airports to enroll in a program in which TSA pays for private screeners.
TSA has about 50,000 federal employees who handle screening at nearly all U.S. airports. Budget documents released on Friday said airports currently using the privatization program have demonstrated savings compared to federal screening operations.
In recent weeks, major U.S. airports suffered massive disruptions after TSA security officers went unpaid since mid-February
