The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has issued new guidance concerning the detention and re-screening of resettled refugees who have filed to adjust to lawful permanent residence (LPR) status as required under U.S. immigration law. The adjustment process allows immigration authorities to conduct a second round of vetting before granting permanent residence status. It wasn't exactly news to me because I was also spied upon by the FBI while I worked on the 2024 Trump effort. In fact, the Bureau started surveilling me soon after Joe Biden was inaugurated in 2021. An Air Canada flight arriving at LaGuardia Airport crashed into a rescue truck on Sunday night — leaving two pilots dead and two Port Authority cops seriously injured, according to sources.
