Something pretty big just went down behind the scenes in the federal government, and it could end up changing the entire illegal immigration game. According to a new report, the Department of Homeland Security appears to be stepping in and taking a more aggressive role in investigating illegal employment inside the United States.
And no, they’re not politely coordinating with the IRS. They basically just told them to “take a seat.”
DHS is reportedly bypassing the IRS and using its own investigative team to dig into the relationship between employers and illegal workers. For years, everyone avoided this tactic. Why? Because the uniparty knew it would actually break the pipeline,

I'm glad to see Secretary Noem stepping up. We're likely never going to see any meaningful action out of the dynamic duo at the DOJ.

FTA: ''If DHS is shifting toward direct investigations of illegal employment networks, the focus will move away from the workers and straight toward the companies, and you will see a change happen so fast, it’ll make your head spin.''
Naturally, this should have been done years ago, some of these companies nailed with huge fines or maybe some jail time for the owners, things would change. Let's hope that is exactly what happens, it's certainly due.

FTA —- “ We’ve always been focused on the illegals themselves. While employers, who are the real engine behind illegal immigration, have been humming along.”
That’s right. Without a crackdown on employers who hire illegal aliens, the invasion won’t stop.

FINALLY!
The IRS has always been perfectly aware of all the bad SSN in use and who their employers are but has never lifted a finger to fix it.
If employers are held accountable a huge percent of illegals will be fired ex yo go home and others won't come to add to the problem.

And someone needs to shake up the Social Security Administration. The creation of SS and your SS number was NEVER meant to be used as a general across the board ID. It was simply a way to tie your "contributions" to your SS account for eventual withdrawal upon retirement. The SS number has been so perverted for away from its original use; have to have a SS number just to open up a utility account, etc. And this misuse of the SS number has opened up every American to ID theft, fraud, etc.
Hey Congress - why don't you do something about that?

Well the States have been issuing illegal aliens regular and commercial drivers licenses in huge numbers, and the Biden crew has been issuing illegal aliens social security number cards. Bu making a false claim to US citizenship and using information from a drivers license and a social security card, illegal aliens can easily beat the so-called Form I-9 process that all employers are supposed to fill out anytime they hire anyone in the USA. Once the Form I-9 is filled out, employers are “off the hook” so to speak, as far as the US Government being able to prove that the employer “knowingly” hired an illegal alien, unless there is evidence of other criminal activities. Most employers do the minimum in those respects as they do not want to be sued by the leftist Democrats alleging some type of discrimination, and besides many employers are happy to hire as much illegal alien cheap labor as they can possibly can.

While this is great, there may be consequences of absence of sufficient labor in some industries. We may need to expand the visa programs that companies use to staff their operations. Americans First, but sometimes there will still be a deficit of labor.
Also, if the jobs are filled by Americans, there will probably be an increase in prices. That's OK, within reason. But excessive labor costs need to be managed to economic realities. If the cost of crops doubles, for example, that's a non starter.
There a lots of moving parts. It's good that we will really investigate this. What to do about what we find is TBD.

The owner of the SS number gets charged for the tax bills, while the fraudster using the number claims 19 exemptions on the W4 withholding form.

This is good, but there is another area that needs revision -- illegals sending money back to their country of origin. Not only should the US clamp down on the amount that can be sent, but also stop the government programs that facilitate that transfer -- often at no expense to the illegal.

I have advocated for this approach for years., glad to see it coming into use.
SS numbers are required to pay workers, since FICA taxes must be withheld and matched by the employers, and sent to the IRS.
Illegals have to steal a SS number, often many illegals use the same stolen or fraudulent number. This is a solid paper trail to the illegals AND to the employers. Deport the illegals and massively fine the employers.
If Tyson or other meat packers, or the roofing companies got a $10,000 per day, per illegal fine....they'd stop hiring illegals. And they can't claim that tgey didn't know that tgey were sending their matching FICA funds for 63 employees to the SAME SS number!

Re #6, I have been very successful in refusing to give my SS number for any purposes other than Medicare and SS. I have, for decades, just refused to give the number. Fifteen or twenty years ago, this caused some consternation in the folks collecting the info, but in tge last ten years, they apparently have seen it enough to just say, "OK", and go on without it. Their systems just assign a number.
I also don't use it on my gun purchases in the 4473 forms.
Just say "no".
Except for SS or Medicare.

Cut off the jobs.
Cut off the welfare.
Cut off the medical care.
61% of illegal immigrant/alien households are on welfare.
You cut off all those things and ICE can take a vacation. They'll self deport.

The prime reason IRS Managers are worthless POS' is simple. They are highly political and think they own the world.
