Virginia judge granted the Republican National Committee a temporary restraining order that halts Virginia Democrats’ gerrymandering efforts to redraw the state’s congressional districts ahead of the upcoming midterms. The Republican National Committee brought a lawsuit Wednesday to stop what the organization describes as an unconstitutional last-minute power grab by Virginia Democrats. Filing a motion for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction, the RNC asked the court to block the implementation of the proposed constitutional amendment. According to local media, Tazewell County Circuit Court Judge Jack Hurley Jr. granted the RNC motion on Thursday.

I hope this can be stopped. When the party in power tells you they are going to re-draw the map so that 10 of the 11 districts are majority Democrat, that tells me they are rigging the elections and don't care that almost all of the Republicans in the state have no representation from Virginia in Congress.

#1 - California already did the deed. You know how it is; California is the trend-setter for the rest of the country's Dims. Breaking the Dim hold on California will greatly assist the rest of the nation. I sure wish we had all the conservatives still here that abandoned our state in her time of need. I'm not judging, but I am disappointed.

The left only obey judges when the granting affects Republicans. While the temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction are in place, dems will be lining up their dirty deeds to deploy once they get a judge to overrule in their favor. In GA, the Fulton County folks are trying to overrule the judge who took away "their" voting records (even though the records were not in their possession) by getting another judge to say bring the records back and give them to the criminals being investigated so they get off scott free from stealing an election. What a demon-twisted world these folks exist in.

The article lists all of the reasons why the Democrats redistricting power grab is illegal per the Virginia constitution, legislature rules, and other laws. Yet some higher appeals judge will surely ignore all if this and rule that the redistricting is okay.

California is giving the blue states a free history lesson on what long-time democrat rules, policies and overspending can do to a state. Newsom is in Europe trying to get himself elevated to the presidency so he can show the entire country how to fail. Mamdani and Bass are doing it at the city level. Who will pay attention?

Forlesia Cook, a grandmother who lost her grandson to violence, delivered a brief and powerful testimonial supporting President Trump. Many naysayers, beyond just the DHS security issues, would be well-served to listen to her advice. Mrs Cook spoke during a Black History Month reception at the White House, pushing back on claims that President Trump is racist. As noted by this passionate grandma, President Trump gave her a voice when others ignored her. Cook’s 22-year-old grandson, Marty William McMillan Jr., was brutally murdered in cold blood in 2017 after meeting someone online. He left home to meet a woman he connected with on the Plenty of Fish dating app.

Few have had as profound an effect on modern scientific understanding as Sir Isaac Newton. Many people are familiar with the story of how a falling apple first inspired Newton to investigate the force that would come to be known as gravity, and as he later concluded in his seminal scientific treatise, “Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy,” it is this same force that pulls a fruit to ground that keeps the planets in orbit. While Newton undoubtedly possessed a keen sense of observation and an insatiable curiosity that enabled him to make some of the most influential mathematical and scientific discoveries in recorded history, his prolific notes and writings—especially the vast

CNN legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin has never been one to show good judgement. When he’s not getting caught conducting “personal business” on a staff Zoom call, he’s accidentally admitting that there’s an ongoing leftist-led judicial coup designed to stymie President Trump’s agenda. The serial self-pleasurer let the proverbial cat out of the bag in his Monday opinion column for The New York Times. Titled, “The Plan for a Radically Different Supreme Court Is Here,” the article purports to roll out a blueprint for countering conservative appointments of originalist judges to the bench but inadvertently discloses the existence of leftists’ efforts to weaponize the judicial system against Trump.

Dr. Oz, the Administrator at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), has been laser-focused on combatting Medicaid waste, fraud, and abuse. Over the past month, he has travelled to Minnesota and California to highlight egregious home health and hospice schemes. One often overlooked scheme is the abuse of intergovernmental transfers (IGTs). CMS should put a stop to how states use IGTs to favor government-operated providers at patients’ and taxpayers’ expense. Congress created Medicaid to help America’s most vulnerable access health and long-term care services. Both the federal government and the state were always meant to share financing responsibility. Democrat Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker unveiled his suburban Section 8 plan during his annual State of the State address, which he gave Wednesday. Taking aim at single family homeowners in the Chicago suburbs, Pritkzer said their “shameful” opposition to taxpayer-subsidized Section 8 apartments are responsible for driving up the cost of Illinois housing. Community zoning laws “have made it too difficult and costly to build new (Section 8) housing,” Pritzker said, chiding suburban Illinoisans who oppose high-density, subsidized apartments as old-fashioned and behind the “times.”

US President Donald Trump’s withdrawal of support for the UK plans to give up sovereignty over the Chagos Islands in the Indian Ocean — which includes the key Diego Garcia airfield — stems from the British refusal, reports the UK paper. According to the report, US plans included the use of Diego Garcia and the RAF Fairford base in England, both of which can only be used to strike if the UK government agrees.
