Virginia judge granted the Republican National Committee a temporary restraining order that halts Virginia Democrats’ gerrymandering efforts to redraw the state’s congressional districts ahead of the upcoming midterms.
The Republican National Committee brought a lawsuit Wednesday to stop what the organization describes as an unconstitutional last-minute power grab by Virginia Democrats. Filing a motion for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction, the RNC asked the court to block the implementation of the proposed constitutional amendment. According to local media, Tazewell County Circuit Court Judge Jack Hurley Jr. granted the RNC motion on Thursday.

I hope this can be stopped. When the party in power tells you they are going to re-draw the map so that 10 of the 11 districts are majority Democrat, that tells me they are rigging the elections and don't care that almost all of the Republicans in the state have no representation from Virginia in Congress.

#1 - California already did the deed. You know how it is; California is the trend-setter for the rest of the country's Dims. Breaking the Dim hold on California will greatly assist the rest of the nation. I sure wish we had all the conservatives still here that abandoned our state in her time of need. I'm not judging, but I am disappointed.

The fact that they do it right out in the open with no shame or embarrassment says it all. They have no honor and are bad Americans.

The left only obey judges when the granting affects Republicans. While the temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction are in place, dems will be lining up their dirty deeds to deploy once they get a judge to overrule in their favor.
In GA, the Fulton County folks are trying to overrule the judge who took away "their" voting records (even though the records were not in their possession) by getting another judge to say bring the records back and give them to the criminals being investigated so they get off scott free from stealing an election. What a demon-twisted world these folks exist in.

The left has been running out of other people's money, and now they're running out of voters, too. Desperate measures are obvious power grabs.

People who boarded the Titanic's lifeboats were not abandoning the ship in its time of need. Some things cannot be saved.

The article lists all of the reasons why the Democrats redistricting power grab is illegal per the Virginia constitution, legislature rules, and other laws. Yet some higher appeals judge will surely ignore all if this and rule that the redistricting is okay.

California is giving the blue states a free history lesson on what long-time democrat rules, policies and overspending can do to a state. Newsom is in Europe trying to get himself elevated to the presidency so he can show the entire country how to fail. Mamdani and Bass are doing it at the city level. Who will pay attention?

Yet enough so-called Republicans in Utah and Indiana defeated their own party efforts to play the game as Democrats do.

Gerrymandering, ballot harvesting, and outright fraud are all tools Democrats use blatantly to rig elections. They can always shop a friendly liberal judge to help them and shield them from any consequences. This battle needs to be fought with hand to hand combat on the ground - not from the 40,000 feet of the federal government. Virginia Republicans are doing this and I wish them God speed. May His will be done.

Sorry #2 Timber Queen we left California because we could no longer afford a $2,000 mortgage when we took an early retirement due to health concerns. Even if that weren't the case, we were sick and tired of the local and State govt. controlling our every move. We moved for freedom! And after much prayer, the Lord led us to Idaho where we bought our home without a mortgage from the sold equity.
