300 Virginia high school students who
ditched class for anti-ICE walkout get suspended

A Virginia high school suspended more than 300 teens who ditched class and stormed off campus during a student-led anti-ICE walkout last week, according to reports. Woodbridge High School handed three-day suspensions to 303 students who walked out of class last Friday to “express their views” and protest federal immigration enforcement, principal Dr. Heather Abney told parents in a letter obtained by 7 News. The demonstration, which was not backed by Prince William County Public Schools, eventually spilled off school grounds and onto the streets, forcing local police to manage traffic and oversee the hundreds of rebel students involved.

Comments:

Suspended? What kid wouldn't want a 3 day vacation. How about 3 days of sitting in study hall with nothing to do. No phones.

No doubt those unknowing students who were demonstrating against ICE were no doubt taking that action because of the recent mass propagandizing that has been thrust upon them against ICE by the leftist, progressive, and socialist Democrats along with other domestic and foreign origin groups and anarchist supporting organizations that have been out to essentially sabotage Trump’s political agenda, and in general to undermine the USA in anyway possible.

Teachers classes should be monitored and recorded and then made available to parents to see what their children are being taught. I have no doubt these kids are being prompted by their ‘supposed’ teachers.

They should get suspended, as well as any teachers or school administrators who supported their plans prior to the event.

These kids were protesting ICE, which means they support murderers, human traffickers, drug smugglers and dealers, as well as rapists, etc, and all they got was a three-day vacation from school. Hope their parents kept them home and made them study all day, every day, and took their phones away. Also, every illegal alien is a lawbreaker because they break the law just by entering the country illegally. A lot of the illegals already have final removal orders which means their cases don't have to be adjugated. They are eligible for immediate deportation. No ifs, no ands, and no buts. They are gone.

This was probably a social media put-together that sounded "cool" until it wasn't. As for high school teachers,, they may propagandize but I don;t see them putting their tenured jobs on the line for something like this. All risk; no reward.

Notifying parents won't do a damn thing. If the kids are ever at home, the parent(s) are spouting the same anti-ICE drivel. The kids will get a medal.

It should be 3 days policing trash on the school's grounds; and no sharpened stick or grabbers! This might help them to understand the importance of 'picking up trash'.

I'm glad to see the school taking action of some kind. I'm going to bet most of those kids walked out just to be a part of something, or to get a free day off. They didnt know or care what it was about. With unexcused absences and suspensions on their records college will not be nearly as sure, nor scholarships.

Three day vacation?? How about three weeks of Saturday School?? Three consecutive Saturdays spent sitting in the school study school. No phones, no music, nothing to do but sit there and study or read or do homework. Or stare at the walls. My old high school instituted this after Breakfast Club was released. The students straightened right up because NO ONE wanted to waste a Saturday at school!!

Three days!!!. I once got suspended for three weeks for a small food fight in the my HS cafeteria and wasn't even a major participant. The principal was actually a great guy and we ended up good friends in later years but he put up with no shenanigans in his high school. If these walk-out idiots got three months instead three days then they wouldn't try that stunt again.

Make it a week long suspension and tell the teachers to just keep on teaching. When the students return, they will have lots of material to catch up on or risking failing grades.

Even many of his allies warned that imposing import duties under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act was legally dubious;
