After weeks of waiting, the Supreme Court ruled against the Trump administration in a decision addressing whether President Trump had authority to impose sweeping tariffs without congressional approval. At the heart of the issue was whether President Trump had such authority under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), a law that allows presidents to take economic actions during a national emergency and to impose broad tariffs without Congress passing tariff laws. In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court ruled that President Trump exceeded his authority

I've never been a fan of economic tariffs - - although they are useful as a political bludgeon to achieve foreign affairs goals. President Trump's economy is so successful and vibrant - - and his negotiating skills are so amazing - - that he doesn't need this particular tool to make America great again. This ruling won't change a thing about our future unlimited success.

The disintegration of our Republic and takeover of our country by the communist, Islamist death democrats continues via a judicial coup by their comrade judges, who have destroyed our Justice System. More and more it appears, unfortunately, that a hot civil war now appears inevitable. Hope for the best and prepare for the worst my fellow Americans.

The financial markets and political pundits are jubilant at what they perceive as a victory over President Trump's use of tariffs. The SCOTUS has taken away Trump's ability to efficiently protect US workers from predatory market attacks by China, India, and other countries that exploit slave labor to gain market share. It was never about raising prices to consumers, since the tariffs have been largely absorbed by the suppliers. The SCOTUS has disarmed the President in the middle of an economic war and given China the green light to steal American jobs through currency manipulation and slave labor. This, along with removing illegal low-cost foreign laborers, was the heart of MAGA, and the SCOTUS just cut it out.

Nothing has changed (unless, perhaps it's gotten worse) since Trump's first term. The Swamp is still the Swamp and has, will continue to do, everything in its power to hamstring MAGA. If America's enemies succeed in flipping an already tenuous "majority" in the coming midterms, then I believe our "Great Experiment" may well be on its death bed. Everything ends, everything dies eventually. While something always follows. But please, dear God... not now, not in our children's lifetime.

The Judges failed to actually LOOK AT THE LAW. Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962, which allows the president to impose tariffs if imports threaten national security, and Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974, which permits retaliatory tariffs against unfair foreign trade practices. It is quite clear the Judges are POLITICAL HACKS doing their normal LYING!

So I just heard Tom Basile on Newsmax say that there are three co-equal branches of government and although Trump may not like it - that is how our system is set up. However, Tom - Congress has abdicated its responsibility for making laws - deferring to the Administrative State aka unelected bureaucrats to make law via statuary regulations. No one voted for these bureaucrats or regulations. Congress cannot even pass the SAVE Act but they're going to impose tariffs on how many countries? Also, how many member of Congress are receiving campaign donations from the the countries Trump has imposed tariffs on? Hmmmm... So it's okay with Congress and Tom Basile that other countries tax our items that we sell to them but we can't tax the items they sell to us? That's not free or fair trade. And speaking of co-equal branches of government, Tom - so you're okay with some district court judge in tiny RI or Mass stopping nationwide an EO issued by Trump or federal law they don't like such as immigration enforcement?

What is the GOP Congressional plan to pass a law for Trump's tariffs? This possibility has been known for a year. The GOP Congress has, and will do nothing. Trump has had to do everything by himself. The Republican primaries are here. Get rid of the Rino's that the Republicans have allowed into our party with open primaries, and back bending. Thune needs to get a backbone. Three of the Justices who were in the majority of this decision were appointed by republicans: Roberts (G W Bush), Barrett (Trump), and Gorsuch (Trump). You have to hand it to the justices appointed by the democrats--they remember who put them on the court. Republican appointees--not so much.

FTA - "The decision does not strike down all of Trump’s tariffs, only those that were imposed under the IEEPA. The president imposed tariffs on steel and aluminum using different laws, so those tariffs will remain in place." After reading the article, this quote gives a clearer picture of the SCOTUS ruling.

The bad news is that they ruled against him. The GOOD news is that there are legally rock solid other ways to accomplish exactly the same thing, but it takes a bit more work. But, it WILL happen, and SCOTUS, according to legal experts, can't touch those routes.

In the second term of Donald Trump’s presidency, few homegrown political controversies have been as tedious or corrosive as the prolonged Jeffrey Epstein scandal. Among right-wing media figures, precious few bear more responsibility for fanning the Epstein flames than Steve Bannon. This was not because Trump’s administration was part of some cover-up. I purely believe it was because Bannon chose provocation over truth, spectacle over resolution, and self-preservation over honesty. By early 2026, the factual record was no longer ambiguous.

There are no signs that Democrats want to de-escalate political tensions in the United States. On the contrary, at least since community organizer Barack Obama became president, escalation -- including verbal harassment, stalking, physical intimidation, and outright violence -- has been a key component of Democrats’ political strategy. Scaring political opponents into silence or subjugation is now standard operating procedure for the Democrat Party.
