Federal Judge Just Blocked Another Trump
Administration Immigration Policy

Original Article

Posted By: ladydawgfan, 2/6/2026 6:22:39 PM

A federal judge in Massachusetts on Thursday blocked the Trump administration from using taxpayer information to help Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) track down illegal immigrants. U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani ordered the IRS and Social Security Administration to stop sharing data with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and ICE. She also prohibited the agencies from using the data to target illegals as the case proceeds. Talwani rejected the government’s argument that noncitizens do not have Fourth Amendment protections against unreasonable searches and seizures. The judge argued that using this method is “ripe for abuse”

Comments:

APPEAL!!! The SCOTUS has already ruled that these rogue judges don't have jurisdiction!!

This harpy has ruled similarly before and been reversed on appeal. Seems like there ought to be a limit on the number of reversals in, say, a 3 year period, before the judge is automatically suspended.

This is wrong. Please see: https://www.congress.gov/crs-product/R47325 "The Computer Matching and Privacy Protection Act of 1988 (CMPPA) provides the requirements and processes by which agencies may, for certain purposes, conduct a matching program using individuals' data. Congress passed the CMPPA to increase the administrative controls and oversight of matching programs. The CMPPA amended provisions enacted by the Privacy Act of 1974 and operates within the Privacy Act's statutory framework. The CMPPA covers how agencies may conduct a computerized comparison of automated records to administer federal benefit programs or to use federal personnel and payroll records. A matching program may involve two or more federal agencies or a federal agency and a state or local government agency."

Friday on MS NOW’s “The Weeknight,” Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) argued Republicans would vote for her in the general election for U.S. Senate. Co-host Michael Steele said, “Do you think Republicans, when you get to a general election, can be convinced that you are the representative they need in Washington?” Crockett said, “Oh, absolutely. Now, Michael, you can maybe talk about this a little bit more because I think the Democrats have a perception of what Republicans want. And I think that, you know, what the real is. I think that Republicans aren’t looking for somebody that is Republican lite. They can just go and get the real thing.

What some truckers believed were going to be routine stops at weigh stations in January led instead to thousands of violations and failed English tests amid a three-day national crackdown by federal safety authorities. The latest version of Operation SafeDRIVE (Distracted, Reckless, Impaired, Visibility Enforcement) from January 13th through the 15th on trucking corridors in 26 states and the District of Columbia removed nearly 2,000 unqualified truckers and other drivers from the road, the U.S. Department of Transportation, (USDOT) told Fox News Digital. Mike Pence is siding with wealthy donors over victims of the East Palestine, Ohio, rail disaster, earning a cacophony of outrage from conservatives and prominent MAGA voices. Pence, who like Democrats reflexively opposes Trump on issue after issue as he woos establishment corporate donors to enrich himself through his non-profit and stake a claim in the narrowing establishment lane for the 2028 Republican nomination, is fighting a bill first championed by then-Ohio Sen. JD Vance — and Pence’s likely 2028 primary opponent — to implement safety regulations for trains carrying hazardous materials. Those regulations could have prevented the toxic spill that upended the lives of thousands in the East Palestine area

At one point in the press conference, Mamdani cited Islam to push an open borders agenda. He claimed Islam was built on a narrative of migration and noted that Muhammad was once a stranger too.

The video, which has gone viral on social media, shows the frustrated mom, Rachel, pulling up to the protest site and ordering her son to get in the car, only for him to refuse, insisting it’s his “right” because the school permitted it. In the footage, the mother can be heard saying, “You’re not skipping school for this (expletive). Get in the car.” Her son retorts, “No, it is my right,” before walking away.

Respect is nothing more than an abstraction until somebody refuses to show it; that's when symbols clarify moments. Flags matter because they represent authority, sacrifice, and ownership. The World Health Organization (WHO) crossed that line when it decided to keep the United States' flag after President Donald Trump withdrew from the organization. That decision led to a rare action on the world's political stage: Somebody acted. President Trump pulled the U.S. out of the WHO because of decades of mismanagement, compliance with hostile governments, and repeated failures during global health scares. There are consequences resulting from the withdrawal: legal, diplomatic, and symbolic.

And shockingly, they are proud of it. “They’re the first generation in modern history to score lower on standardized academic tests than the one before it,” Dr. Jared Cooney Horvath, 43, told The Post. “And to make matters worse, most of these young people are overconfident about how smart they are. The smarter people think they are, the dumber they actually are. “They underperformed on basically every cognitive measure, from basic attention, memory, literacy, numeracy, executive function and general IQ.”

For too long, America’s retirement system has worked for the few, not the many. Wall Street insiders, wealthy elites, and big public pension funds have built wealth via the private markets – private equity, private credit, and real estate. Meanwhile, hardworking Americans are told to stay in their lane. If you work a regular job and save through a 401(k), you are effectively shut out from greater choice and investment access for your well-earned money. That’s not an accident. Elites – like Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) – don’t want this change because it erodes their interests and your opportunity for wealth creation.
