Trump wants to attack cartels. Many Mexicans

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has repeatedly insisted that she will not allow the U.S. military to fight drug cartels inside her nation’s borders. “It’s not going to happen,” Sheinbaum said last month after President Trump yet again threatened such an operation. “We don’t want intervention by any foreign government.” But while Sheinbaum passionately defends her nation’s sovereignty, recent polls and interviews from across Mexico show that a significant number of people here in fact welcome having U.S. boots on the ground. Slightly more than half of Mexicans surveyed by polling firm Mitofsky said they believe “U.S. authorities should enter Mexican territory to fight organized crime and arrest its leaders.”

I'm sure American pilots are tired of the same old bombing ranges day after day. Maybe it would help break the monotony if they practiced on cartel assets like mansions, factories and warehouses. Mexico might object as their politicians are just as crooked as ours, but what are they going to do? Stop polluting our culture? Stop sending drug smugglers and illegals? Cut off the drinking water? Maybe they could send their navy to blockade Florida.

I'm not in favor of putting US lives at risk over foreign soil. International waters with a Navy that can back our servicemen and women is one thing. It's another thing over another country's soil. I'm not against saber rattling but would hope the Administration could find a more covert action to disturb Sheinbaum's employers.

The President of Mexico knows she cannot control the Cartels but refuses help. her police Department is corrupt, her government is corrupt, they are just a figure head for the Cartels. Of course she doesn't not want our help, the economy of her country is based on American money, what is sent there by workers here sending money to their families and also on the drug money sent to the cartels. She doesn't want to upset the apple cart. If Trump does not get this done in his term it won't get done. If the Democrats return to power America is done for.. The democrats will destroy it in their next time at bat. Get the job done----------------NOW.

"she will not allow the U.S. military..." Was a successful threat for nobody, ever. The only people who can defeat the US Military is the US Government. I don't like having boots on the ground in foreign countries but many more people will be killed by allowing Mexican drug operations to continue.

The drug cartels are now in control of Mexico, a narco-state. With as much money and manpower as they have, I don't see an honest political system emerging from all the spilled blood. Honest pols have been left far behind, outnumbered and outspent. It would require an ocean of blood to dislodge the drug cartels. The best thing we can do is to keep disrupting their supply chain, and not allowing the poison or the smugglers to cross our border.

If Trump were to attempt take out cartel leadership, he would need to hide his entire family. I recall when W threatened to do the same thing, W received intel that the cartel leaders were hatching a plan to kidnap his two daughters. After that the whole matter just evaporated into thin air.

Trump is trying to get a handle on illegal immigration and massive drug smuggling. Mexico is no help and if we don't do something soon, we will become a third world s***h*** with the massive invasion of criminals and welfare seekers now flooding our country. Enough is enough or our children will live in a dystopian world that rivals Haiti. Apparently, this is all fine with the Democrat Party.

Mexico is going to get bring its narco cartels to heel or else it will be annexed... maybe not soon, but sometime this century. And since it now appears that Mexico's political class is compromised by the cartels, I'd say annexation is a near certainty as it will be the only way to smash the cartels.

The Justice Department will no longer pursue civil rights lawsuits based on “disparate impact theory,” the Trump administration announced Tuesday. The move comes after 50 years of government policy that encouraged lawsuits against “race neutral” policies without showing evidence of actual racial discrimination, the department said. Disparate impact theory is a framework that often assumes discrimination when there are different outcomes for different groups of people, even if there is no explicit discriminatory practice in place. “For decades, the Justice Department has used disparate-impact liability to undermine the constitutional principle that all Americans must be treated equally under the law,”

What is it about the National Defense Authorization Act that makes it a dumping ground for every dumb liberal pet project? First the Trump administration pushed an AI data-center amnesty that would have stripped states of authority over massive, power-hungry facilities. Then lawmakers tried to slip in Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s housing bill, a package built to subsidize Section 8 tenants and builders and to fuel the very forces driving the current housing bubble. After a backlash, both provisions came out of the NDAA. Now congressional leaders plan to pass the Massachusetts Democrat’s housing bill on its own.

The Wisconsin judge presiding over a politically-motivated case against attorneys who represented President Donald Trump in 2020 should be removed from the case on grounds of “judicial misconduct,” alleges a motion filed late Monday afternoon. Exactly what Dane County Circuit Court Judge John Hyland did is not clear from the succinct motion, but something sure stinks in the leftist hive that is the Dane County Court. Jim Troupis, a former conservative judge in that hive and the target of far-left Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul’s political prosecution, filed the motion via his attorney. Apparently Hyland’s conduct was so atrocious that Troupis is looking to clear the bench.

"This message applies to all illegal aliens — regardless of where they entered, how long they’ve been in the U.S., their current location, or any ongoing immigration proceedings," Banks wrote.

A University of Oklahoma student’s final grade won’t be affected after she controversially flunked a Bible-based essay on gender that was assigned by a trans instructor — triggering widespread backlash. Samantha Fulnecky, 20, filed a discrimination complaint with the school last week after she was given an F for arguing in her psychology class paper that “belief in multiple genders” was “demonic.” The school has since revealed the failing grade will have no bearing on Fulnecky’s academic standing after the course’s professor, Mel Curth, was placed on leave and administrators launched a probe into the junior’s complaint. The controversial assignment was supposed to account for 3% of Fulnecky’s final grade.

Ohio elections officials reached a data sharing agreement with President Donald Trump's administration that will help clean up and maintain the state's voter rolls. Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced the new agreement on Monday, saying it guarantees Ohio access to enhanced federal records for at least 20 years. The deal refers to the federal Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) database, which previously had limited and costly availability to state election officials. LaRose says Monday's agreement with the Department of Homeland Security guarantees Ohio the capability to obtain verifiable data supporting each citizen verification as well as the ability to perform bulk verification requests.

For as little as $1, you can dim the sun — just a tiny bit — to save the world from climate change. At least, that’s the promise sold by a California start-up called Make Sunsets. Your dollar will pay for founder Luke Iseman to drive a Winnebago RV into the hills half an hour outside Saratoga, California, to release a balloon loaded with sulfur dioxide, an air pollutant normally spewed by volcanic eruptions. He and his 1,000 paying customers hope the balloon will burst in the stratosphere, releasing particles that will block sunlight and cool the planet. The companies are currently scoping out demand and seeking commitments from customers in what is known as an “open season.”

Rumors and reports of fraud in Minneapolis, primarily within the city’s exploding Somali community, have been circulating for at least a decade, but criticism of the fraud has been largely dismissed by elected Democrats as "racist" or being underpinned by animosity toward foreigners. News stories focused on Somali fraudsters in recent years were shot down as "racist."

As Secretary of Homeland Security, he presided over the most chaotic period at the southern border in modern American history. It's not even close. There were record crossings, overwhelmed cities, and steeply climbing fentanyl deaths, thriving cartels, all with governors begging for help. Yet as the Trump administration continues to settle back in power, Mayorkas has barely been mentioned: When was the last time you heard his name mentioned? Silence follows a man whose fingerprints are all over a still-broken — but rapidly repairing — system.
