A University of Oklahoma student’s final grade won’t be affected after she controversially flunked a Bible-based essay on gender that was assigned by a trans instructor — triggering widespread backlash. Samantha Fulnecky, 20, filed a discrimination complaint with the school last week after she was given an F for arguing in her psychology class paper that “belief in multiple genders” was “demonic.” The school has since revealed the failing grade will have no bearing on Fulnecky’s academic standing after the course’s professor, Mel Curth, was placed on leave and administrators launched a probe into the junior’s complaint. The controversial assignment was supposed to account for 3% of Fulnecky’s final grade.

Won't count against her grade? Was it a good paper deserving of an 'A'? It seems here she still hasn't been made whole.

Question. Besides the students religious comments (which were correct), how was the rest of the essay. There has been so much focus on the religion part and no focus on the quality of the rest of the work. The other focus is on the Trans instructor. While the religion stuff may have hurt their feelings, was their assessment of the work wrong? This was a psychology class, not a religion class. Bottom line is did she respond to what was asked in the assignment or just use her religious beliefs? There is a difference. Answer the question and add your personal beliefs at the end or interwoven throughout the essay working with what is taught..

"Trans" people are seriously, potentially violently, mentally deranged. How can anyone hire them for any job? There are multiple cases of 'trans' nutcases doing mass shootings.....for no rational reasons, apparently anger at the world for their insanity.

I learned very early in college that the non-science courses were a matter of finding out what the professors wanted and giving it to them. Once the grade is in, disregard everything.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has repeatedly insisted that she will not allow the U.S. military to fight drug cartels inside her nation’s borders. “It’s not going to happen,” Sheinbaum said last month after President Trump yet again threatened such an operation. “We don’t want intervention by any foreign government.” But while Sheinbaum passionately defends her nation’s sovereignty, recent polls and interviews from across Mexico show that a significant number of people here in fact welcome having U.S. boots on the ground. Slightly more than half of Mexicans surveyed by polling firm Mitofsky said they believe “U.S. authorities should enter Mexican territory to fight organized crime and arrest its leaders.”

Harvard placed Gouvea on administrative leave days later, and on Nov. 13 he pleaded guilty to illegally using the air rifle.

Ohio elections officials reached a data sharing agreement with President Donald Trump's administration that will help clean up and maintain the state's voter rolls. Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced the new agreement on Monday, saying it guarantees Ohio access to enhanced federal records for at least 20 years. The deal refers to the federal Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) database, which previously had limited and costly availability to state election officials. LaRose says Monday's agreement with the Department of Homeland Security guarantees Ohio the capability to obtain verifiable data supporting each citizen verification as well as the ability to perform bulk verification requests.

For as little as $1, you can dim the sun — just a tiny bit — to save the world from climate change. At least, that’s the promise sold by a California start-up called Make Sunsets. Your dollar will pay for founder Luke Iseman to drive a Winnebago RV into the hills half an hour outside Saratoga, California, to release a balloon loaded with sulfur dioxide, an air pollutant normally spewed by volcanic eruptions. He and his 1,000 paying customers hope the balloon will burst in the stratosphere, releasing particles that will block sunlight and cool the planet. California has long been a “fuel island” — a state whose gasoline and diesel markets are isolated from the rest of the country — but that could soon end under a proposed plan to build the first-ever pipeline to bring refined products directly to the West Coast. Known as the Western Gateway Pipeline, the project from oil major Phillips 66 and global pipeline giant Kinder Morgan would deliver gasoline, diesel and jet fuel to Arizona and California from as far east as Missouri by 2029. The companies are currently scoping out demand and seeking commitments from customers in what is known as an “open season.”

In 2018, as California was laying the groundwork to build a new 911 system for the state, a massive fire ripped through Butte County, decimating several Northern California communities and killing over 80 people. The devastating Camp Fire, which wiped out cell towers and hampered emergency communication during critical hours, was on everyone’s minds as the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services worked to design the state’s future emergency communication system. Between 2019 and 2025, California paid four technology companies over $450 million to build out its Next Generation 911 system, But when the time came to turn that system on, it didn’t work.
