For as little as $1, you can dim the sun — just a tiny bit — to save the world from climate change. At least, that’s the promise sold by a California start-up called Make Sunsets. Your dollar will pay for founder Luke Iseman to drive a Winnebago RV into the hills half an hour outside Saratoga, California, to release a balloon loaded with sulfur dioxide, an air pollutant normally spewed by volcanic eruptions. He and his 1,000 paying customers hope the balloon will burst in the stratosphere, releasing particles that will block sunlight and cool the planet. A better-funded competitor, Stardust, has raised $75 million

I remember this commercial like it was yesterday. Chiffon Margarine - "It's Not Nice To Fool Mother Nature!" (Commercial, 1977) If a margarine company is smart enough to figure it out why can't these guys? Stupid nonsense. I have 5 inches of snow and a temp of 21 degrees. Not feeling the heat.

If it actually worked, it would start a disaster like the Little Ice Age and people would be begging for some heat.

#2: I have 5 inches of snow and it is 21 degrees.
Don't you know that is a result of Climate Change? Yes, the climate changes every year about this time, and it goes from being warm to being cold. And, I will bet it is getting hotter in Australia as well.

I remember a cartoon from the late 60s or early 70s. Humans travel to another planet and discover giant aliens. They are shocked to discover that the aliens have a plan to extinguish the sun. They intend to launch a rocket that will explode spreading a glue-like substance all over the sun causing it to go out. Why are the aliens doing this? Because the sun is too bright. What do the humans do? They introduce the aliens to...sunglasses. Problem solved!
It's a child's story. It's preposterous. What is shocking there are humans considering something similar. They call this 'science'. Notice who wrote this article? The liberal Washington Post! Some of them must be getting cold feet fearing their green allies will do something really stupid and suicidal.

Luke may want to consider hiring some private security. When word gets around that he's polluting the air we breathe and messing with the planet we all live on because he's a liberal retard, a lot of people may not take too kindly to it.

And just like that, air pollution becomes popular.
P.S. One of these days, the survivors are going to look back at this and say, "Well, THAT was a stupid idea!" (All of his here are just ahead of the curve.)

And when another "year without a summer" with its attendant crop failures comes about do we get to exterminate "unproductive eaters" like the air heads promoting this? Enquiring minds want to know. /sarc off

Or, they could just turn off the scrubbers at coal fired power plants that cost ratepayers billions of dollars. Sulphur dioxide was bad back then.
