More than 24 hours of peaceful protest outside the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement field office in Durango culminated Tuesday with pepper spray and rubber bullets being used against protesters.
Protesters gathered at the site Monday morning after a man and his two middle school children were arrested that morning on their way to school. Protesters formed a human chain in front of the field office gates Monday night to block federal agents from removing the family from the facility.

I don't understand why they used physical force against us. All we did was impede their ability to do their lawful duty and refuse to move when given a direct order by Federal agents. Why can't they just give in to our demands?

Use whatever force is necessary against the violent protestors, including lethal ammunition

After reading the first sentence I saw no reason to read any more. If the protest was truly peaceful, the government agents would not have used pepper spray and rubber bullets. One thing that the left has forgotten, the Civil Rights protesters of the 1950s and 1960s, expected the government to use violent actions against them. They thought that the government should act that way to enforce the law. They also thought that by showing that they were willing to suffer, people would choose to alter the law. These protesters are not seeking to alter the law, they are seeking to get the government to stop enforcing it.

Fire hoses work pretty well too.
I miss the days when grey haired old women worked in their gardens and played with the grandkids. Protesting dressed like a homeless person really isn't a good look.

Why was Peter spray and rubber bullets deployed against protestors? Usual that level of non lethal force is used for those threatening the security of the officers or others or interfere with the execution of the officers duties. Either way, they are not protesters once they cross the line of speech to illegal action. But then again, what moron believes that 'journalism' exist in this country anymore?

re Illegals: Just arrest them and remove their government benefits - A 1996 law prevented migrants from getting welfare — it’s been ignored for 30 years https://nypost.com/2025/09/21/opinion/a-1996-law-prevented-migrants-from-getting-welfare-its-been-ignored-for-30-years/
If you riot or commit a crime or harm anyone the gov’t has the RIGHT to CANCEL YOUR CONTRACT WITH THEM FOR any government money. CUT OF THEIR welfare, food stamps, section 8 OR any GOVERNMENT $. Every government program you accept comes with CONDITIONS. If you break the CONTRACT you LOSE. The rioting will stop. Soros does not pay enough to the paid rioters for them to lose their government $. CUT THEM OFF GOV'T TAX $. No Police - No Court giving DUE PROCESS - Just "you broke the contract we are ENFORCING the consequences".

Definition: "Jane"
A "Jane" is a septuagenarian criminal, often female, guilty of violating existing laws using physical violence for the express purpose of extreme, anti-establishment political advocacy.

Before Durango was overrun with lefty Californians and the Austin Texas lefty crowd, it was a real nice town to spend time in. Not anymore. Lefty politics more obvious there these days. This "protest" was well-planned.
