Today is a day of despair, and it would be futile to tell those who fear and grieve for what is to come in America that they will be OK. It would also be dishonest: many of us, in truth, will not be OK. Donald Trump has decisively won the American election. He and his Republican allies have promised mass deportations that will ruin lives and sunder families; they have threatened to dismantle the Affordable Care Act and appoint the anti-vaccine conspiracy theorist Robert F Kennedy Jr to a position of authority on public health. They have pledged vast cuts to social security and Medicare, .

If Moira Donavan is so worried about the millions of illegal aliens that Biden-Harris allowed to gain entry to the country by mischaracterizing and violating portions of the immigration laws passed by Congress, in order to gain a future voter demographic advantage for the leftist and progressive Democrats, what this liberal writer should do is arrange for them to be admitted to some socialist country like Ireland.

FTA: Today is a day of despair, and it would be futile to tell those who fear and grieve for what is to come in America that they will be OK. Forget their future in America. Sadder for them is that more important future in eternity, if they persist in living lives of abomination to God, or support of it. This is actually a day of opportunity for them to open their eyes to the wickedness of rejecting and opposing God’s ways in favor of their own misguided ways. I pray that happens, before it’s too late for them. But, I pray especially for those young people who have had their lives irreversibly altered by their horrific influence.

Isn't the Guardian a British newspaper? Anyway, she is an idiot. Those deportations she is lamenting about are people who are criminals. They ame here illegally. Many are hard core criminals or enemies of out country. If she wants to cry about this do so to Harris who allowed them to come here in the first place. We don't want to be another UK that is overrun by foreigners who are destroying the country and their culture.

Moira Donegan, I feel bad for you because to paraphrase Ronald Reagan, so much of what you know just isn’t so. You are melting down today in fear of things that are never going to happen. Congress is not going to enact a national abortion ban. No one is going to die because Donald Trump is our next president. Congress is not going to take her and Social Security away from anyone. You are the victim of the fear-mongering done by Democrats and the mainstream media, and for some reason you do not seem to have time and effort to discover the truth about the things that you are so worried about. I will be a better place now, and almost everyone will be better off than they were the past four years.
