Is John Fetterman Running For President?

Original Article

It is by now blindingly obvious to any rational observer of American politics that the Democratic Party is circling the drain. Depending on which poll you believe, its favorability rating among U.S. adults is somewhere between 23 percent (CNBC) and 34 percent (CBS). Nor is it difficult to divine what has led to this dismal state of affairs — the party has lurched so far to the left that most of its iconic leaders would be regarded as too conservative to win the Democratic presidential nomination.

As far as I'm concerned, CNBC is just another 4-letter word. Fetterman has made a most remarkable comeback, it would seem.

Fetterman is an interesting character, but I doubt he will ever be a candidate for President. He is too logical and rational for that. Remember his history. He was mayor of a tiny suburb of Pittsburgh, and his wealthy father put him on a 50,000 per year allowance - his mayor pay was less than 100 dollars per month. He wears those hoodie outfits for comfort, and because of the unavailability of regular clothes large enough to fit his football player frame. Finally, I believe it was Edmund Burke who said that when his constituents were split down the middle on an issue, he would vote his mind. That may be the case with Fetterman, Pennsylvania, once one cancels out the crooked Philadelphia votes, is about a 50/50 state. Pa tolerates deviations from the left, and the right. We had two republican senators-Arlen Specter and John Heinz - both moderates. Then we were stuck with Bobby Casey, who defeated an over extended Rick Santorum from the conservative right. It would be fun, though, to see Fetterman as Vance's running mate. That would take leftist loons to the brink.

NO. Let's not start rumors. I'm from Pennsylvania and the local politicians are garbage. We have a legislator running for County Common Pleas Judge with 63 cases he handled against a professional outstanding attorney that had 807. Attorneys that know both are scratching their heads wondering why is this clown (Ecker) running for judge. All I know is that the republican party is backing this clown. Someone told me that you would have to draw a map for Ecker where the court house is. This county is a mess.

I hope not for his sake. If he shows he has a good chance the Democrat Establishment would back his move, and once he'd won, would demand to control the decisions. If he disagreed, they would kill him - like they did Kennedy - and attempt to control his Vice President. There aren't that many ethical Democrat politicians out there, that we can spare. The actual decision making process in the Democrat Party amounts to a terror campaignin the interests of people that never ran for office, but love to pull the strings.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) defied the advice of its own drug safety experts to warn pregnant women about Tylenol for nearly a decade, internal reports and presentations obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation reveal. FDA rank-and-file scientists repeatedly recommended the agency release information about Tylenol in pregnancy across three scientific reviews conducted in 2016, 2019, 2022 and two memos, one from the FDA’s maternal health division in 2016 and one from the FDA’s urological health division in 2017.

Muslims are blasting Zohran Mamdani’s association with controversial Imam Siraj Wahhaj, warning that legitimizing the former terror suspect could fuel radical extremism. “I am particularly concerned to see mosques used as political rallying platforms in the free and democratic United States,” said Dalia Ziada, a Muslim scholar and fellow at the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy. “By embracing Wahhaj, Zohran Mamdani is sidelining moderate Muslims and normalizing an extremist ideology that once inspired terror on American soil and still fuels radicalization within segments of the Muslim community today,” she told Fox News.

It’s difficult to think of a more effective way to illustrate the moral and intellectual emptiness of the American left than to have them march around demanding an end to an institution our founding fathers abolished 250 years ago. This is how the official “No Kings” website described what happened on Saturday: “On October 18, more than seven million of us rose up at more than 2,700 events in all 50 states, DC, and cities worldwide to say: America has no kings, and the power belongs to the people.” These folks are a little late to the party.

Mikie Sherrill can’t keep her story straight. The New Jersey Democratic gubernatorial nominee keeps changing her account of her involvement in an infamous 1990s US Naval Academy cheating scandal — and alumni don’t believe her latest explanation. “I don’t buy it, and I’m kind of speaking on behalf of actually a lot of classmates that reached out to me,” Brent Sadler, who graduated from the academy in 1994, the same class as Sherrill, and serves as a senior research fellow at the Heritage Foundation, told The Post.Sherrill last month confirmed she didn’t walk during her class’s commencement and claimed she was penalized because she “didn’t turn in some of my classmates.”

Last April, Paul Krugman wrote the following about the reciprocal tariffs President Trump had just announced: “This is a much bigger shock to the economy than the infamous Smoot-Hawley tariff of 1930.” Krugman trotted out that trite analogy not because he really believed Trump’s tariffs were comparable to Smoot-Hawley, but because he knew his Substack subscribers would vaguely recall reading about the latter in high school and feel intelligent. Six months later it’s blindingly obvious that Trump was right about the tariffs and Krugman’s portentous predictions were utterly moronic.

The list is staggering, really. And one need not go back to January to compile a collection of the most anti-democratic behavior and positions possible, all to save muh democracy. I can fill out this column with stuff just since Friday. In June of this year, The United States Supreme Court issued a 6-3 decision in Mahmoud V. Taylor, in favor of parents objecting to sexually explicit LGBT material being used in school on religious exemption grounds. The case overturned the decision against both the rights of parents and the 1st Amendment's freedom to practice religion by a district court judge nominated early in Joe Biden's term.

Remember how many Democrats called in vain for the resignation of former Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam when his penchant for performing in blackface was discovered in 2019? Among the most vocal was Abigail Spanberger, who then represented the Commonwealth’s 7th District in Congress. Now, as the Democratic candidate in Virginia’s 2025 gubernatorial contest, Spanberger is oddly reluctant to call for the withdrawal of her party’s vile nominee for Attorney General — Jay Jones. Evidently, musing about the murder of a GOP lawmaker is not as disturbing as a Halloween get up.

Wind power has been sold to us as an environmental utopia, with lower costs, but ends up being nothing of the sort in practice. With the aid of government subsidies, we are putting up electric generating windmills all over the place. Such subsidies include the Production Tax Credit (PTC), which, according to the Institute for Energy research (IRER), provides a per-kilowatt-hour tax credit for electricity generated by qualified wind projects; and the Investment Tax Credit (ITC), which provides a tax credit based on the investment made in renewable energy projects, including wind. According to IRER, trillions are being invested here. The United States, under the Biden-Harris climate bill,

Gun control in America’s northern neighbor has moved into confiscation phase, as Nova Scotia, Canada’s east coast province, kicked off a pilot program of “voluntary” gun buybacks in September, while the western provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan say they will not comply.
