The Ridiculous No Kings Protest

It’s difficult to think of a more effective way to illustrate the moral and intellectual emptiness of the American left than to have them march around demanding an end to an institution our founding fathers abolished 250 years ago. This is how the official “No Kings” website described what happened on Saturday: “On October 18, more than seven million of us rose up at more than 2,700 events in all 50 states, DC, and cities worldwide to say: America has no kings, and the power belongs to the people.” These folks are a little late to the party.

"unattractive GenZeers". Indeed. Other than their politics, there seems to be a common denominator for these people. They are either fat, unattractive or both. There is some suppressed lifelong anger with them. I am guessing that they were unpopular in high school. They didn't get asked to the prom or asked out on dates. Things like that tend to stay with a person in their later years. They stay mad and frustrated and this prompts them to try to capture some self-esteem.

A rally of terminal cases of Trump Derangement Syndrome. Ignorant and unwashed, how many of them can even define fascism? How many have read the Rise and Fall of the Third Reich? They hurl the name Hitler, but if they're so up on fascism do they know Mussolini or Franco?

"No kings, and the power belongs to the people,” echoes the old, "Power to the People!" communist slogan chanted in the Viet Nam war protests back in the '60s. I'm sure it elicited that memory for the crowds of geriatric Marxists smoking pot and reliving their youth passionately marching against whatever.

Mikie Sherrill can’t keep her story straight. The New Jersey Democratic gubernatorial nominee keeps changing her account of her involvement in an infamous 1990s US Naval Academy cheating scandal — and alumni don’t believe her latest explanation. “I don’t buy it, and I’m kind of speaking on behalf of actually a lot of classmates that reached out to me,” Brent Sadler, who graduated from the academy in 1994, the same class as Sherrill, and serves as a senior research fellow at the Heritage Foundation, told The Post.Sherrill last month confirmed she didn’t walk during her class’s commencement and claimed she was penalized because she “didn’t turn in some of my classmates.”

Last April, Paul Krugman wrote the following about the reciprocal tariffs President Trump had just announced: “This is a much bigger shock to the economy than the infamous Smoot-Hawley tariff of 1930.” Krugman trotted out that trite analogy not because he really believed Trump’s tariffs were comparable to Smoot-Hawley, but because he knew his Substack subscribers would vaguely recall reading about the latter in high school and feel intelligent. Six months later it’s blindingly obvious that Trump was right about the tariffs and Krugman’s portentous predictions were utterly moronic.

The list is staggering, really. And one need not go back to January to compile a collection of the most anti-democratic behavior and positions possible, all to save muh democracy. I can fill out this column with stuff just since Friday. In June of this year, The United States Supreme Court issued a 6-3 decision in Mahmoud V. Taylor, in favor of parents objecting to sexually explicit LGBT material being used in school on religious exemption grounds. The case overturned the decision against both the rights of parents and the 1st Amendment's freedom to practice religion by a district court judge nominated early in Joe Biden's term.

Remember how many Democrats called in vain for the resignation of former Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam when his penchant for performing in blackface was discovered in 2019? Among the most vocal was Abigail Spanberger, who then represented the Commonwealth’s 7th District in Congress. Now, as the Democratic candidate in Virginia’s 2025 gubernatorial contest, Spanberger is oddly reluctant to call for the withdrawal of her party’s vile nominee for Attorney General — Jay Jones. Evidently, musing about the murder of a GOP lawmaker is not as disturbing as a Halloween get up.

By now, you are likely familiar with the story of Jay Jones, the terrible, horrible, no-good, very-bad candidate for Attorney General of Virginia. Beege wrote about the emerging scandal yesterday, and chances are good that there will be enough twists and turns to the story that you will read quite a bit more about it over the next few days or weeks. For those unfamiliar with the breaking story, the short version is this: Virginia Delegate Jay Jones is running for Attorney General in Virginia and has a comfortable (if hopefully temporary) lead in the race against incumbent Attorney General Jason Miyares this November.

merica’s propaganda press have wound up with egg on their faces a few many times over the past several years. On Monday, the Associated Press published a report revealing that the U.S. Marine Corps has reached its recruiting targets for the 2025 fiscal year. The achievement follows in the footsteps of the Army, Navy, and Air Force, all of which hit their FY2025 goals months ahead of schedule.

On Saturday, the Des Moines school board placed Roberts on paid administrative leave while protesters demand his release. ICE says Roberts is not only an illegal alien from Guyana who was working illegally, but also that he fled arrest in a school district-owned car and was in illegal possession of a loaded gun and hunting knife when agents finally nabbed him. The Virginia gubernatorial race between Republican Winsome Earle-Sears and Democrat Abigail Spanberger has already been won by the latter if one takes the polls seriously. Yet, actual ballots cast during the first week of early voting suggest that the electorate is ignoring the polls. Early voting for the 2025 general election began on September 19 and, according to the Virginia Public Access Project (VPAP), turnout is twice what it was in 2021 and it has been particularly high in heavily Republican areas of the Commonwealth. This is remarkably similar to the early voting pattern that prevailed last year.

The opening scene of Kamala Harris’ campaign memoir sums up the entire disaster of the Biden-Harris era: two selfish narcissists focused entirely on their own needs and insecurities, trapped together in an alliance with no regard for each other and no concern for the American people. It is the morning Joe Biden dropped out of the 2024 presidential race on Sunday, July 21. Harris is in her kitchen watching the Cooking Channel and making pancakes for her grandnieces when the president calls from his Rehoboth Beach house in Delaware, where he’d hunkered down with his family after his disastrous debate performance.

Here's a Newsweek headline on the project: "Behind Schedule, Over Budget, and Mired in Lawsuits."The local community was also unhappy with it or had concerns. One resident called it a "monstrosity," taking away from the beautiful area that once was there. So much for the feelings of the locals. Guess those got lost in the narcissism.

A gang of brazen thieves dropped the priceless Eugénie Crown outside the Louvre in Paris during a jaw-dropping daylight heist of the world's most visited museum. The group of criminals swiped priceless items, including a necklace and a brooch once belonging to Napoleon Bonaparte and his wife Josephine, in broad daylight, forcing the tourist attraction to shut its doors. The raid, which took place at around 9.30am on Sunday, saw the thieves brazenly break into the art museum, which is also home to the Mona Lisa, by propping a huge freight elevator up against its walls, according to an investigating source. Illinois Democratic Gov.
