This Saturday, October 11, 2025, Palm Beach County Commissioner Gregg Weiss along with Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) Major Christopher Keane and Captain Byron Smith are scheduled to participate in a conference titled “Mercy to Mankind: Celebrating the Life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.” The gathering will take place at the Al-Amin Center of Florida (ACF) in Boynton Beach and is co-sponsored by the South Florida Muslim Federation (SFMF) (of which ACF is a member) and the American Muslim Advocacy Network (AMAN).
The participation of these public officials is troubling. SFMF has, in consecutive years, organized pro-Hamas conferences that glorified the perpetrators of the October 7

One of the most famous divisions in the U.S. Army officially took over command of the Joint Task Force guarding the southern border on Friday.
The 101st Airborne “Screaming Eagles” officially took over command of the JTF Southern Border mission from the 10th Mountain Division in a ceremony Friday at the JTF Headquarters in Fort Huachuca, Arizona. The task force combines more than 10,000 service members from across the Armed Forces to protect the border, which has seen zero migrant releases in the last four months. “This is a real world mission against a living, breathing threat,” Maj. Geoffrey Carmichael of the 10th Mountain Division told

Democratic Maine Gov. Janet Mills will challenge GOP Sen. Susan Collins' reelection bid in 2026, according to a report. Mills, who must leave her governor's post because of term limits, is tentatively expected to announce her candidacy on Tuesday, according to unnamed sources, the Associated Press reported. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has urged Mills to run, but she met with him only once to discuss the race early this year.

The Trump administration’s approval of a Qatari air force base in Idaho isn’t popular with either of America’s political parties.
Department of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced the forthcoming Qatari Emiri Air Force facility in America’s heartland Friday morning, thanking the Middle Eastern nation for playing a “core part” in negotiating the ceasefire between Israel and Palestine. Mountain Home Air Force Base will host Qatari F-15 fighter jets and pilots, and allow Qatari forces alongside American troops for F-15 pilot training. The move, which stands in stark contrast to the president’s “America first” agenda, seriously rattled some of Donald Trump’s most outspoken supporters.

California has designated Diwali — popularly known as the “Festival of Lights” — as an official statewide holiday.
Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed the legislation, Assembly Bill 268, into law on Monday, which will go into effect in January 2026. First introduced by Democratic California State Assembly members Ash Kalra and Darshana Patel, it will authorize public schools and community colleges to close in observance of Diwali and also allow employees and students to take time off to recognize the holiday, according to the bill’s text.

President Donald Trump’s State Department has fired a foreign service officer who admitted to hiding a relationship with a woman who had known ties to the Chinese Communist Party, the department confirmed to The Daily Signal.
Investigative journalist James O’Keefe uncovered that Foreign Service Officer Daniel Choi admitted on a hidden camera to hiding his relationship with the daughter of a senior Chinese Communist Party official.
“This termination is consistent with the executive order signed by President Trump affirming both his constitutional authority over our foreign policy and the State Department’s responsibility to carry out his directives,” Tommy Pigott, principal deputy spokesperson at the State Department,

New York City Council member Chi Ossé, a close ally of socialist mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, is privately plotting a primary challenge against House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries, according to a new report.
"Ossé, who backed Mamdani in the mayoral primary and headlined a rally and canvass efforts for him, has spoken privately with progressive groups about potentially taking on Jeffries in the Democratic primary next year," Axios reported Wednesday evening, citing three people familiar with the discussions.

If lawmakers get their way, President Donald Trump’s face will be on a special piece of legal tender to celebrate America’s quarter-millennial anniversary — and, as with all things Trump-related, it’ll be yuge.
A bill introduced by GOP Rep. Joe Wilson of South Carolina and cosponsored by 13 other Republicans would put Trump’s face on a $250 bill minted in 2026 for America’s 250th birthday.
And, while the legislation was initially introduced in February without much movement on it recently, both the co-sponsors and the president himself are giving H.R. 1761 — the “Donald J. Trump $250 Bill Act” — a renewed push in the media.

The grocery store chain Publix has about 900 locations across the state of Florida, and it appears that all of them are now welcoming customers who are openly carrying firearms. The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports that while corporate officials have been mum on the chain's policy, multiple employees at stores in south and central Florida have confirmed that open carry is now allowed after a state appellate court ruled the state's ban violated the Second Amendment.
Several other chains, however, are still prohibiting the practice.

Melania Trump, the most attractive and intelligent first lady in American history, is doing her part to restore public faith in mainstream media by forcing journalists to atone for their lies. Over the past several weeks, Melania has obtained retractions and apologies from media outlets that published falsehoods about her ties to Jeffrey Epstein, the jet-setting pedophile tycoon. This week, the publishing house HarperCollins UK apologized to Melania and recalled a recently published book about Epstein associate Prince Andrew. The book repeated the unsubstantiated claim that Epstein introduced Melania to her husband, the greatest living president, Donald Trump. Melania's legal team demanded a retraction and

A charity paid to take 70 migrants on a trip to the seaside - to help them overcome the stress of making small boat crossings.
The refugees were treated to a beach day which included ‘swimming, dancing, relaxation and connection’ at Margate in Kent - just along the coast from Dover where the small boats sail to. This summer’s visit was organised by refugee charity West London Welcome. Posting about the day trip on its website, charity bosses explained: ‘Over 70 of us went to Margate together for a day of swimming, dancing, relaxation and connection. For community members who have taken life-threatening boat journeys or lost loved ones at sea,

Boston - Joan B. Kennedy, the former wife of Sen. Edward M. Kennedy who endured a long and troubled marriage marked by family tragedies, her husband’s infidelities and her own struggles with alcoholism and mental health, died on Wednesday. She was 89.
The former Joan Bennett was a model and classically-trained pianist when married Ted Kennedy in 1958. Their lives would change unimaginably over the next decade and a half. Brother-in-law John F. Kennedy was elected president in 1960 and assassinated three years later. Brother-in-law Robert F. Kennedy served as attorney general under JFK, was elected to the U.S. Senate in 1964 and assassinated while seeking the presidency. Her husband
