The culture war wasn’t just a metaphor at Utah Valley University last week.
We need to learn more about Tyler Robinson, the alleged assassin of Charlie Kirk, but based on what we know so far he represents the polar opposite of Kirk in every important respect.
The young man with the transgender boyfriend shot the young man with the wife and two kids. The guy with a reported interest in “furries” killed the guy with an interest in spreading the Gospel.
The believer in gender fluidity murdered the believer in traditional gender roles. In cultural terms, it was aberrant versus normal

More than 150,000 “patriotic Americans” have applied to work at Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to help the agency carry out migrant deportation arrests, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced Tuesday.
“ICE has received more than 150,000 applications from patriotic Americans who want to defend the homeland by removing the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens from the U.S.,” Noem said in a statement.
“We have already issued more than 18,000 tentative job offers,” the DHS chief added. “Americans are answering their country’s call to serve and help remove murderers, pedophiles, rapists, terrorists, and gang members from our country.”

Schiff and Patel engaged in a rather lopsided exchange in which the California Democrat demanded answers as to why Ghislaine Maxwell had been transferred from a low-security federal prison in Florida to a minimum-security prison camp in Bryan, Texas.
The implication being that the move was part of a wink and a nod agreement coinciding with an interview conducted by U.S. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche.

What I'm about to share with you is going to seem like a parody at first. The words coming out of the reporter's mouth are going to sound so unbelievable that you're going to wonder if I got trolled by an AI deep fake. A dozen or so years ago, the magazine rack at your grocery store was your cheat code for popular culture: The covers revealed EXACTLY where we were as a country.
After all, magazine editors chose their covers to maximize sales. Which meant that the cover photos (and cover stories) were kind of like mini billboards, advertising whatever content was most meaningful to their target audience.
For marketers and/or propagandists, it provided invaluable insight.
But no longer.
Today, paper-and-ink magazines are deader than the dodo. They’re the equivalent of vinyl records: Some people still swear by ‘em, but they’re no longer mainstream.
Instead, we’ve gotta look at digital headlines.

Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old suspect accused of fatally shooting Charlie Kirk during an event in Utah last week, sent text messages to his transgender-identifying lover after the shooting explaining that he had “had enough of” Kirk’s “hatred.”
Prosecutors released the text messages in a court filing on Tuesday, shortly before Robinson’s expected arraignment on charges of aggravated murder and weapon and obstruction offenses. If Robinson is convicted on the aggravated murder charge, prosecutors intend to seek the death penalty.

“I am filing a notice of intent to seek the death penalty. I do not take this decision lightly, and it is a decision I have made… based solely on the available evidence and circumstances and nature of the crime,” Utah County District Attorney Jeff Gray said during a press conference.

As we reported, charges were filed against Tyler Robinson, the man accused in the assassination of Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk.
Utah County District Attorney Jeff Gray announced that Robinson faced seven counts, including aggravated murder, obstruction of justice, and witness tampering. He also noted his intent to seek the death penalty in this case. He laid out aggravating factors, saying that it was done because of Kirk's "political expression" and knowing that children would be present. Gray explained that yes, the mother had said that Robinson had become more left over the past year, "becoming more gay and trans rights-oriented," and had started dating his roommate,

Moscow has rejected accusations that it intentionally sent these drones, which were by and large 'decoy' UAVs amid broader drone waves targeting inside Ukraine.

In the aftermath of the assassination of Charlie Kirk by a violently deranged and hate-filled leftist (yes, that is a confirmed fact), some on the hard Left have been publicly expressing justifications for, and even celebrations of, the murder. These ghouls do not represent America, nor do they represent America's center-left coalition writ large. Many politicians, public figures and private citizens on the 'progressive' end of the spectrum have prominently and unequivocally denounced the killing. This must be acknowledged and embraced with gratitude by all people of good will. The forces of decency must stand together against the cancer of political violence and twisted vigilantism.

We, as citizens, do a fine job exposing those creeps—there have been hordes of professionals fired or placed on leave for gross posts celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk. We’ll revisit that later, but, of course, CNN was aghast at this, with host Abby Phillip trying to spin this as a move to punish the Left and President Trump’s political rivals. Hit lists have begun to appear on social media, as bloodthirsty leftists indulge their fantasies about which of their designated enemies they would like to see murdered next. Leftist political violence is on the rise with Fake News Media, Democrat politicians, activists and the far left using more and more radical, violent rhetoric. I wrote about the violent rhetoric (and leftist political violence) on this substack, several times (see also here and here). I also observed previously that the far left consider political violence a tool and that the violent rhetoric serves to “trigger” the radical leftist fringe into acting out violence. The visceral response Americans had to the brutal assassination of Charlie Kirk only days ago made the media, Democrats and their enablers “circle the wagons” and start fabricating lies and misinformation about Charlie Kirk.

Probably the worst crime a journalist can commit is attributing to someone a statement–putting it in quotation marks–that the person never said. That would get you fired from a 9th grade student paper.
But it is exactly what former Washington Post “journalist” Karen Attiah did, on the BlueSky hate platform: (X) The quote Attiah attributed to Charlie Kirk? He never said it. She just made it up. The third, sitting Democrat senator Tim Kaine’s declaration reflecting a fundamental belief within the current Democrat Party that the government is the source and, thus, the final arbiter of all human rights.
Over the centuries, those that deem the state is paramount and, thus, the source of all rights, believe granting, limiting, or denying these rights is the sole discretion of the state based on

Happy Tuesday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. (Snip) Back in June of 2022, I wrote a column asking why I should give up my guns if they weren't harming or killing anyone. It was a valid question, given the fact that gun grabbers were constantly demonizing me for something that I had never done and was never planning to do. It's something that most of us on the conservative side of things are familiar with.
We had four straight years of the Biden Stasi FBI saying that we were the biggest looming domestic terror threat in the United States. We were really bad at it, by the way,

I’ve written before about preference cascades — where large portions of the public, often a majority, conceal their views for fear of punishment, only to reveal those views when some precipitating event takes place. Classic examples include the fall of Communist regimes, like Ceausescu’s Romania, where even Ceausescu himself thought everyone loved him until shortly before he was stood in front of a wall and shot.
Usually those happen in one direction. But in contemporary America, they’re happening in two.
The murder of Charlie Kirk at the hands of a leftist gunman has revealed that many, many more Americans — and even people elsewhere around the world — supported Charlie

Recently declassified documents indicate that people close to former FBI Director James Comey and Democratic Sen. Adam Schiff were connected to leaks of classified information to prominent reporters designed to portray Donald Trump and his allies as being in league with Russia. Written in 2017, the FBI documents expose how selected Washington reporters, including Ellen Nakashima of the Washington Post and Michael Schmidt of the New York Times, scored a series of Pulitzer Prize-winning scoops in 2017 by repeating false and inflammatory leaks during President Trump’s first term.
Much of their reporting has been debunked – and shown to be part of a smear campaign by high-ranking officials to undermine Trump,

U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday said he would file a $15 billion lawsuit against The New York Times, alleging defamation and libel, and calling the newspaper a “mouthpiece” for the Democratic party.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump attacked the newspaper for being “a virtual ‘mouthpiece’ for the Radical Left Democratic Party,” while accusing if of making false statements about him, his family and business, without elaborating on the allegations.
The lawsuit suit was being brought in the state of Florida, Trump said without providing further details.

The president of the leftist magazine The Nation Bhaskar Sunkara was up in arms over Vice President J.D. Vance’s connection of his publication to billionaire George Soros during a recent TV interview. The reality: Vance was hovering over the target, and Sunkara was being blatantly deceptive. Sunkara railed against Vance in an X post for saying Soros “funds” The Nation: “I'm not sure where he's getting his information, but JD Vance is lying about The Nation magazine.” He continued, claiming unequivocally that “we're not funded, not one dime, by Soros or Open Society Foundation.” Here’s the deception:

People who celebrate the killing of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk should be held accountable, US Vice-President JD Vance has said.
"Call them out, and hell, call their employer," Vance said as he guest-hosted an episode of the Charlie Kirk Show. "We don't believe in political violence, but we do believe in civility."
Pilots, medical professionals, teachers and one Secret Service employee are among those who have been suspended or sacked for social media posts that were deemed inappropriate about Kirk's death.
Critics have argued the firings threaten free speech and employee protections, although US companies have wide latitude to terminate employees.
