Report those who celebrate Charlie Kirk
death to employers, Vance says

People who celebrate the killing of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk should be held accountable, US Vice-President JD Vance has said. "Call them out, and hell, call their employer," Vance said as he guest-hosted an episode of the Charlie Kirk Show. "We don't believe in political violence, but we do believe in civility." Pilots, medical professionals, teachers and one Secret Service employee are among those who have been suspended or sacked for social media posts that were deemed inappropriate about Kirk's death. Critics have argued the firings threaten free speech and employee protections, although US companies have wide latitude to terminate employees.

From the article: "Among them is Anthony Pough, a US Secret Service employee who wrote on Facebook that Kirk "spewed hate and racism on his show... at the end of the day, you answer to GOD, and speak things into existence". "He has had his security clearance revoked." Secret Service Director Sean Curran, Has Pough been fired?

Way past time for a lot of very evil children to be given some serious (and life-changing) time-outs. Good luck with those career and behavioral choices, my friends.

I have mixed feelings about this. Free speech is free speech. It is one thing for a university president or a CEO to say these things, that could be interpreted as inciting violence. But it is quite another thing if the average lib is just venting.

3, no. Calls to and glorifying g political violence are not 1a protected. We know that because when the left was banning, canceling and firing conservatives or even people they thought were conservatives they told us companies can fire anyone they like. Why? Due to 1a freedom of association rights! Use them weapons against them. These legal precedents have already been set. Hypocritical liberal tears are delicious. I look forward to many many many more firings. I was not at all unhappy to hear one of my kid's teachers from last year got canned for publicly celebrating Charlie's political assassination. Good for the goose, great for the gander. Fire all of them. They need to be purge from all the institutions they've taken over and corrupted and society as a whole. No quarter given. They already started this fight and gave us none.

I see this as being a snowball rolling down a mountain and getting so big nobody will be able to stop it. The line that celebrating a death is bad doesnt hold water. There are lots of deaths I would celebrate and eagerly look forward to. I bet a lot of LDotters are the same. When does it come back around to us? I like seeing the communists get what they have been giving us for decades. I love seeing them fear for their livelihoods and look over their shoulders a lot. Sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. But it should be a short lived phenomenon.

Re:6. Hard to not celebrate when someone you hate with a white hot anger and loathing but I always like the quote by Mark Twain or maybe the lawyer, F. Lee Bailey. He said, "I have never wished death on any man but I have read certain obituaries with a great deal of pleasure".

An immigration judge in Louisiana has ordered pro-Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil, a legal permanent resident of the U.S., deported to Syria or Algeria for failing to disclose certain information on his green card application, according to documents filed in federal court Wednesday by his lawyers. Khalil’s lawyers suggested in a filing that they intend to appeal the deportation order, but expressed concern that the appeal process will likely be swift and unfavorable. The order from the immigration judge, Jamee Comans, came despite a separate order in Khalil’s federal case in New Jersey blocking his deportation while that court considers Khalil’s legal argument

Former President Barack Obama implied Tuesday that President Donald Trump was to blame for Charlie Kirk’s assassination, because of “extreme” personnel and policies that aroused violent opposition. Obama was interviewed onstage by Steve Scully at the Jefferson Educational Society in Erie, Pennsylvania. He mourned Kirk’s death, saying it was “horrific,” but made sure to recite an (inaccurate) laundry list of Kirk’s more controversial statements, including a false claim that Kirk claimed black women were stupid. The culture war wasn’t just a metaphor at Utah Valley University last week. We need to learn more about Tyler Robinson, the alleged assassin of Charlie Kirk, but based on what we know so far he represents the polar opposite of Kirk in every important respect. The young man with the transgender boyfriend shot the young man with the wife and two kids. The guy with a reported interest in “furries” killed the guy with an interest in spreading the Gospel. The believer in gender fluidity murdered the believer in traditional gender roles. In cultural terms, it was aberrant versus normal

The implication being that the move was part of a wink and a nod agreement coinciding with an interview conducted by U.S. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche. Schiff inquired

A dozen or so years ago, the magazine rack at your grocery store was your cheat code for popular culture: The covers revealed EXACTLY where we were as a country. After all, magazine editors chose their covers to maximize sales. Which meant that the cover photos (and cover stories) were kind of like mini billboards, advertising whatever content was most meaningful to their target audience. For marketers and/or propagandists, it provided invaluable insight. But no longer. Today, paper-and-ink magazines are deader than the dodo. They’re the equivalent of vinyl records: Some people still swear by ‘em, but they’re no longer mainstream. Instead, we’ve gotta look at digital headlines.

Gutman, as many are aware, went on an unhinged romanticization of text messages revealed by Charlie Kirk's assassin to his love interest, where he seemingly admitted to and attempted to justify his actions. The reporter thoroughly embarrassed himself with the gushing sentiments. He felt the need to highlight the "duality" of a deranged killer and how he spoke "so lovingly" to his partner. As President Donald Trump tries to force Lisa Cook out of her job at the Federal Reserve, her lawyers have pointed to a similar event in history — one where the president lost at the Supreme Court. On October 7, 1933, President Franklin D. Roosevelt fired William E. Humphrey from his post at the Federal Trade Commission. The reason was purely political: The president wanted someone who could advance his priorities.. "I do not feel that your mind and my mind go along together," Roosevelt told Humphrey in a letter. His term at the FTC was supposed to last until 1938. When Humphrey refused to resign, Roosevelt fired him.
