A federal judge has blocked the Trump administration’s efforts to expand a fast-track deportation process, ruling that the broadened application of the sped-up process creates “a significant risk” that immigrants who may be entitled to stay in the U.S. will be hustled out of the country.
In a decision issued Friday evening, U.S. District Judge Jia Cobb granted a request by an immigrant advocacy group to put a hold on a pair of policies the administration issued in January that made millions more immigrants eligible for expulsion from the U.S. under a process known as “expedited removal.”

They are called Federal Judges because they are appointed by Congress. Their jurisdiction is limited to their appointed districts. The SCOTUS has said that they have no country-wide authority.

Judge Jia Cobb -- Jia doesn't sound like a usual American name. A lot of these judges rule through personal preferences. You see it when three judge appeals courts are divided, just like the recent split decision that said Trump tariffs were illegal.

The key word that justifies deportation is "illegal" as in non-US citizen. They attempt to soften it by using "undocumented" but none of them are entitled to stay here. Take your black robe and hang yourself with it.

Dem Judges are supporting illegal aliens, many of them violent criminals, over the wishes and the safety of United States citizens. They should be disbarred. Crooked, third world, Marxist judges belong elsewhere.

I’m beginning to believe these “Federal judges” are either stupid or crooked! They have no jurisdiction and absolutely do not know the meaning of ILLEGAL!

So Biden ignored the law. Trump enforced the law. This "judge" does not like the laws so ign I res the Supreme Court order and issues a nationwide order blocking enforcement of it. Congress made the law, not Trump. If the judge has an issue with it she should resign and run for Congress to change it. Until then, Trump should be free to enforce US laws per his oath of office.

Maybe Judge Gia doesn't keep up with the Supreme Court decisions. I don't think Supreme Court Justice Gorsuch is going to like this.

President Trump should simply declare a national emergency and then make the military the primary means of removal of illegals from this country. By turning authority over to the Military Courts the civilian court would have no jurisdiction over the process.

May be? This is a court of law, they are not entitled to 1) rule, 2) rule by feelings, and 3) they are to deal in facts, not speculation. These people have gone full blown lunatics ... oh, wait it's the other reason we have a very un-judicial decision. May be we should get politics out of the court room and start appointing judges based on creditable evidence that they are competent to serve and have the character to do so judicially.

The Democrats can do anything, and no federal judge ever blocked any of it. The feckless Republcans are frightened, and have no lawyers, because the Democrats have filed ethics complaints against them.

What part of illegal does that nitwit judge not understand? We have had immigration laws for over 200 years and those who don't have permission to reside here are illegal This means they either go to jail or back to whence they came. That is not a hard law to understand.
