Europe’s not the only one failing because
of the Green New Deal; so is New Jersey

Thomas Kolbe has written about the collapse of the German economy, something pretty shocking to those of us who remember when the German economy seemed unstoppable. What’s slammed the brakes on that juggernaut is central planning that revolves around the whole Green New Deal theory. Other European countries are doing the same. Spain and Portugal had a catastrophic power outage thanks to their green energy policies, and, in England, people are getting cold and dirty in a very 19th-century way because of the UK’s drive for “Net Zero.”
Had Kamala been elected last year, America would almost certainly have gone down that path, too.

Some people will just grasp onto an idea without being able to think ahead. Take a windmill for instance. What does it cost to build and maintain over a twenty year period versus the power output that it produces? How much of the dreaded fossil fuels will it take to build it? How long will it sit idle due to insufficient wind? Now calculate just using the fossil fuels to convert directly to electricity. Every time you convert one form of energy to another form, there is net loss. If the math doesn't work out, don't do it. Maybe the elitists and academics had to experience the dark and the cold before they learned their lesson. How many of them will admit to failure?

Swallowing the Green New deal, hook, line, and sinker AND becoming dependent of Russia to supply your energy. The European people have been duped by their corrupt leaders and media. Too bad they didn't listen to President Trump.

Altruism is easy...until its true costs are considered.
For example:
Communism (i.e., equality of outcomes) sounds great...until it collides with the intrinsic selfishness of human nature.
Unrestricted immigration sounds great...until the drug mules, human traffickers, cartels, stolen jobs, and human misery are factored in.
And as this article points out, Green Energy sounds great...until its true costs are objectively weighed in.

Science, facts, logic nothing supports it. Which is exactly why Liberals are for it.

Sadly, New Jersey has the dumbest voting populace that has ever been assembled in the history of this planet. After having a Dem senator sent to prison for fraud, we elected another one....and a socialist to boot. Now, as the Murphy (our 2nd Goldman Sachs executive....the criminal Corzine was the first), we are now set to elect a known felon woman as our next governor.....one who has already shown she has no clue as to what she will do or our problems. To other states.....if a NJ resident wants to move to your state...chase them out.

Knucklehead Murphy, at the beginning of his first term, said that he wanted to make New Jersey into another California. So far. He is succeeding.

Democrat politicians and those who vote for them have destroyed the state of New Jersey.
But you have to give them credit for symbolic good humor--the state issued urine-stained license plates.

Re #6 - Virginia has some pretty dumb voters, too. Yes, Youngkin got elected but his election was an outlier - he got lucky when his opponent MacAuliffe blundered out loud about how the schools own your kids. Now, Abigail Spanberger will probably win because of all the feds and Dems in Northern Virginia, and sad to say, a lot of foreigners from India, et al. who have this communal way of thinking. Yep, we'll be deep in the green scam once she is elected.

The scheme behind "net zero" was always very aspirational which is music to a politician.
They all rushed to be the first to get to "net zero" when the Paris Accords provided a goal to meet by the year 2100 (still 75 years away).
They simply needed to tweak things hear and there, making incremental progress towards the goal. It would have reduced the greenhouse gases and emissions while reducing the need for oil and natural gasoline.
California is likely to follow Germany as they bought into the scheme like no one else. They even stopped producing their own oil and natural gas to buy mostly from foreign countries. Instead of having the high paying jobs and the $$ flowing in the state it's all out-go.
They're still pushing for wind turbines in the ocean despite evidence from other areas that it's not workable and extremely expensive - it's green so it makes them feel better.
Remember, governments pay for gas for their thousands of vehicles and heat and cool their office buildings so they are spending more than they should which impacts their budgets and requires higher taxes.

Good luck to New Jersey ever growing their economy. When you destroy your own power structure to the point where residents are paying through the nose for rapidly depleting resources, builders of new factories and businesses will look elsewhere. And still these total morons get voted into office.

Let me cut through all the B.S. and just tell it like it is: If you make money working a job -- especially a private sector job where you get a W-2 at tax season every year -- then you are nothing but a source of revenue for Democrats. [And if you don't fall into that category, you may be a target for Democrat largesse funded with other people's money.] And they'll get it from your income tax withholding and in tax surcharges at the gasoline pump, for utility services (water and electricity), and on your property. Some locations in NJ have property taxes at $10 per $100 of assessed value. Imagine paying a 10% tax on your property... by the rule of 72, that means every 7.2 years, you're paying the value of your property in taxes to the government! Libertarians argue that any property tax above 0% means you don't really own your property, but NJ's usurious rates are designed to remind tax payers that... you're nothing more than a source of revenue... and the only way you can forget it... is to move!

No. 6, I agree with you. Mikie Sherrill is another do-nothing Democrat who thinks she can run a state. She Peter Principled out two levels ago. New Jersey cannot afford four more years of another knucklehead (Murphy's favorite term). In this state, and in others, there are people who should not be voting, either dead or alive. For a Republican to win in NJ, you have to overcome the Democrat machines in Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Mercer, and Camden counties. Chris Christie did it, but screwed up royally. He was and still is a blowhard. Christy Todd Whitman was a RINO with bad case of TDS. Jack Ciatarelli isn’t the best choice we have, but he will be better than the unconvicted felon Sherrill. I can’t believe she supports Mamdani for mayor! What an idiot!

Providing energy was not at all the purpose of the Green New Scam.
Its one and only goal was to was to enrich and entrench corrupt leftist politicians and their toadies. And by that measure - - it has succeeded beyond their wildest imagination. There are tens of thousands of leftists with zero talent and zero accomplishments who are fabulously wealthy - - all provided by other peoples' money - - namely us.
Don't you sometimes wish you were a lying, corrupt leftist?
