I don't believe for one second the claims of local officials and the media that crime in DC is way down across the board. It might be down for lack of prosecution or lack of reporting or just outright lying, but crime in DC never goes anywhere but up, and I'm curious to see what results the National Guard has

Local patrol training not necessary. Spot more than two teens out after midnight, check for weapons, haul them in for questioning and ask them who their daddy is. Drive fancy cars around their neighborhoods with well-armed soldiers in the back seat. Boot Muriel Bowser out and get a real mayor.

Its going to make some great videos when some ghetto arboreal holds his 9mm crunchenticker sideways and tries to shoot a soldier while running away and shooting backwards. The lead poisoning will be instant and entertaining.

The wrong move IMO. There care federal police all around DC that are sitting on their asses use them. Park Police ,Capitol Police, Park Rangers, Metropolitan Police. The problem is with the Judiciary, and allowing the perps to roam free on bail and light sentences.

And this will be an utter failure if - God forbid - some soldier has to shoot a minor - even if to defend themself. And without prosecution and punishment after arrest, it will not matter anyway. Voters must wake up from being 'woke' and MUST hold accountable the DimoTwits they have elected who have only brought misery instead of help. And even more importantly, America needs to turn back to God with all that that entails especially the restoration of marriage and family.

Much of the crime committed in DC is carried out by young thugs from PG County, MD, so if he's going to surge troops into DC, he should probably surge them into Maryland as well.

Seeing as the vast majority of crime committed in DC is committed by African Americans how long will it be before the race card pops up and they're trying to cast Trump as a racist? I'm beginning the countdown now.

So when government employees are injured or in danger, we need to counter with force and send in the guard. Every other dem run city has the same problems, many even worse on a per capita basis, so are we going to send in the guard in every city?

Sounds like a good idea to me...the troops won't ask the criminals age before they get arrested..so the hiring of young people to steel cars to be sold or stripped for parts is gonna move outside Washington DC....watch out Maryland and Virginia....and WE get our Capitol back...the shining city on the hill...thank you President Trump for having the courage to buck the system of Pelosi and Schummer....and restore our city....on the hill.....

Despite the fact that Washington, DC's curfew law requires persons aged 17 and under to be off the streets by 11:00 PM, "youths" commit much of its late night and early morning crime. Many of them travel into and around Washington on the DC Metro subway system. Posting National Guard personnel at subway entrances to enforce the curfew from 11:00 PM to closing time (12:00 PM weekdays, 2:00 AM weekends) would cost effectively reduce these crimes.

Here is a suggestion: Instruct the Justice Department to open a criminal investigation into Tan. It is time to establish accountability in corporate America when it comes to the People's Republic of China. The sales were illegal under U.S. law — the university was added to the Commerce Department's Entity List in 2015 — and Cadence in late July pled guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit export control violations. Additionally, the company agreed to pay a fine of more than $140 million. To establish accountability, the Justice Department must investigate Tan's role in Cadence's long series of sales to the Chinese military.
Mamdani’s vow to wage war on Trump WILL

Zohran Mamdani promises to be President Donald Trump’s “worst nightmare” if he becomes mayor, but the actual victims of any such faceoff will be the people of New York City. For starters, no mere mayor, even of America’s greatest city, has the juice to pick a fight with the federal government and hope to come out on top. In fact, it’s a joke to think a Mayor Mamdani could even step in the ring. Look: The city depends heavily on federal cash to help the people Mamdani claims to care the most about, namely the poor.

Perhaps the most pathetic aspect of Andrew Cuomo’s campaign for mayor are his vows to deliver for the city on things he couldn’t (or wouldn’t) in his decade-plus in the more powerful position of New York governor. He’s suddenly calling for free bus and subway fares for lower-income New Yorkers, for example — when his heavy-handed mismanagement of the MTA led directly to the 2017 summer of hell. Not to mention how he looted the agency’s funds for $5 million to bail out upstate ski resorts or the $100 million-plus he burned on decorative lighting and tiles on the city’s bridges and in tunnels.

Hamas is now trying to incite Arabs to revolt against their own governments under the pretext that the Arab leaders have failed to help the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Apparently, the Arab leaders understand the dangers of allowing Hamas, an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist organization, to drag their countries into war with Israel. That is why many Arab countries have banned or outlawed the Muslim Brotherhood, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, and recently, Jordan. These countries view the Muslim Brotherhood as a threat to national security and political stability.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday defended a new military offensive in Gaza that’s more sweeping than previously announced, declaring in the face of growing condemnation at home and abroad that Israel “has no choice but to finish the job and complete the defeat of Hamas.” Even as more Israelis express concern over the 22-month war, Netanyahu said the security Cabinet last week instructed the dismantling of Hamas strongholds not only in Gaza City but also in the “central camps” of Muwasi. In Breaking the Law, my book on the lawfare against Donald Trump and his supporters, which was released this week, I called for Letitia “Tish” James to be prosecuted for conspiracy against rights. The Department of Justice announced on Friday that they are investigating James for violating Donald Trump’s civil rights when she engaged in what the DOJ calls the “deprivation of rights” in targeting Trump. Outstanding. Conspiracy against rights refers to a federal crime in the United States under 18 U.S.C. § 241, which states that it is illegal for people to “conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession,

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Saturday the planned summit between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, warning that any peace deal excluding Kyiv would lead to “dead solutions.” The Trump-Putin meeting, scheduled for Friday in Alaska, is seen as a potential breakthrough. Trump had previously agreed to meet with Putin even if the Russian leader would not meet with Zelenskyy, stoking fears Ukraine could be sidelined in efforts to stop the continent’s biggest conflict since World War II. In a statement posted to Telegram, Zelenskyy said Ukraine’s territorial integrity, enshrined in the constitution, must be non-negotiable and emphasized that lasting peace must include Ukraine’s voice at the table.
