Gov. Kathy Hochul slighted mayoral hopeful Zohran Mamdani in a live TV interview Sunday — signaling she may not endorse him in the election even after he praised her “courage.”
“We still have many differences,” Hochul said, keeping her distance from her fellow Democrat during a Fox News Sunday interview. “I don’t know how you whitewash that away.”
Fox host Shannon Bream had read a statement from Mamdani effusively praising Hochul for sparring with President Trump and Republicans over redistricting fights that could dictate who controls Congress.

Thomas Kolbe has written about the collapse of the German economy, something pretty shocking to those of us who remember when the German economy seemed unstoppable. What’s slammed the brakes on that juggernaut is central planning that revolves around the whole Green New Deal theory. Other European countries are doing the same. Spain and Portugal had a catastrophic power outage thanks to their green energy policies, and, in England, people are getting cold and dirty in a very 19th-century way because of the UK’s drive for “Net Zero.”
Had Kamala been elected last year, America would almost certainly have gone down that path, too.

An essay about a new movie and a Facebook post perfectly exemplify why leftist Jews in America and Israel are finding it impossible to defend against genocidal antisemitism.
“Guns & Moses” tells the story of a rabbi who discovers that the Second Amendment exists to save innocent lives. As the rabbi investigates a deadly attack against his congregation, he discovers that a gun is his best friend against a murderous antisemitic enemy. The movie is based on the deadly attack against Chabad of Poway in San Diego in 2019. At the film’s end, as the credits roll, writer and director Salvador Litvak has a message:

The German economy is sinking far deeper into recession than previously thought. Recent revisions to the national accounts by the Federal Statistical Office paint a dramatic picture.
Quietly and without fanfare, the Federal Statistical Office released new data this week on Germany’s economic output. And, as expected, the figures were revised downward. Instead of shrinking by 0.2% in 2023 as initially reported, Germany’s GDP actually contracted by 0.9%. The outlook for 2024 has also worsened: a projected contraction of 0.5% instead of the previously assumed stagnation.
Three Years of Ongoing Recession
Anyone who still clung to the illusion of stability must now face reality.

Among the first choices President Trump made, after the November 2024 election that swept him back into the White House, was whom should represent his new administration in the role of spokesperson for the State Department. He named Tammy Bruce, and it's easy to see why. RedState previously wrote about her tireless work speaking on behalf of Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and the U.S. priority of extraditing illegals who have committed heinous violent crimes against American citizens from their home countries to the United States to face justice. Here's one such clip from March showing Bruce at work:

"You don’t need a group that wraps itself in verses while stabbing your future.” What a line that truly defines the nature of what the Muslim Brotherhood is all about. This eloquent spokesman does not defend the norms of many Islamic countries. He is proud to say that the UAE is the exception to the rule, the country with a bright present and future due to their rejection of the Muslim Brotherhood But it is more than just the UAE (or Bahrain). There are many millions of people in the Middle East who are not interested in a radical Islamic lifestyle. They are not necessarily very Western either.

A bomb threat reportedly sparked an evacuation at a Chicago-area hotel where some of the Texas Democrat lawmakers who left the state to prevent their Republican colleagues from voting on a redrawn map of congressional districts were staying.
Texas Democrats protesting a redistricting bill were temporarily evacuated on Wednesday morning from the Q-Center hotel and convention center in St. Charles, Illinois — roughly 40 miles west of Chicago — due to a bomb threat, according to a report by CBS News.

President Trump intends to meet with both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, orchestrating what would be the first sitdown between the warring leaders since Moscow launched its war on Kyiv in February 2022.
Trump, 79, informed European leaders of his plan in a call following special presidential envoy Steve Witkoff’s meeting with Putin at the Kremlin early Wednesday.
Neither belligerent has confirmed plans for any meeting, but Ukraine has been seeking a face-to-face with Putin for months.

A 19-year-old former Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) staffer was beaten and bloodied by a mob of 10 minors early Sunday morning as he thwarted a carjacking attempt in the nation’s capital, according to DC police.
Edward Coristine, whose LinkedIn handle earned him the nickname “Big Balls” at DOGE, was with a woman near downtown DC when he saw the group of juveniles approach their car and “make a comment about taking the vehicle,” according to a Metropolitan Police Department incident report obtained by The Post.
“At that point, for her safety, [Coristine] pushed his significant other … into the vehicle and turned to deal with the suspects,” the dramatic report continues.

Sen. Adam Schiff, the man who never missed a chance to lecture America about ethics and accountability, is now the focus of a full-blown federal criminal investigation. On Tuesday, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Maryland, hardly a bastion of right-wing activism, revealed it is actively pursuing Schiff for alleged mortgage fraud. This isn’t some garden-variety political dustup—Schiff faces accusations that he repeatedly lied about his primary residence on federally backed mortgage applications spanning over a decade, from 2009 through 2020. While representing California in Congress, Schiff allegedly listed a Maryland property as his primary address to secure.

President Donald Trump's Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., dropped a bombshell on Tuesday about mRNA vaccines and how they actually prolonged the COVID-19 pandemic. Yes, really. In a video posted on X by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Kennedy announced that the science has been reviewed, and it shows that the shots forced on the public by the government to supposedly stop the COVID pandemic actually helped cause the variants and caused the pandemic to go on longer.Kennedy announced that the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority, or BARDA,

As expected, Texas Democratic legislators have fled the state to deny a quorum for Gov. Greg Abbott's redistricting push. The members flew to Illinois on Sunday, which qualifies as peak irony given that the blue state is arguably the most gerrymandered in the country. This plan was reportedly hatched with Gov. JB Pritzker (D-IL), and the 30 odd Democrats will spend at least a week there. Given what we saw when they did this in 2021, denying a quorum for an election reform vote, there is no doubt a lot of grandstanding, dramatics, and cringe singing on the way.
